I entered to join back in... waited for 10 minutes at the counter for help. Seems like everything is automated now? Thinking of finding another gym. No customer service at a national level and the local phone rings all day as if it's off the hook. Suspicious. Why do they need both my bank information and credit card details? Seems sketchy once more.

I say, old chap, I must express my discontent with the service received at the Gym establishment in Ankeny. Upon relocating to this charming town last summer, around July or August, I endeavored to transfer my membership to the local gym. Alas, the staff member attempted to assist me through their tablet, which regrettably was out of order. Fear not, for she assured me that the transfer could be conducted on her computer instead. After receiving a new keytag, I was bid to commence my workout forthwith.

Throughout the summer and into the fall, I frequented the Ankeny club for my exercise regimen. However, I must lament the state of their TV bank, as more often than not, half of the screens were non-operational.

Just a week ago, a young blonde lass informed me that I could not partake in my workout due to an alleged discrepancy in my membership status. After an exchange of words, during which I displayed my functioning keytag, she relented and promised to notify her manager to rectify the situation posthaste. Lo and behold, I was able to carry out my workout without further hindrance.

To my dismay, upon my recent visit, the same young lady barred my entry once again, insisting that I return during her manager's hours of 9-5 for resolution. It so happens that my daily commitments preclude me from visiting during such hours, hence my preference for an evening workout. She suggested I make a phone call, assuring me it would only take five minutes. Pray tell, why was this issue not addressed following her supposed message to the manager last week?

It was most disconcerting when she admitted her inability to resolve the matter and requested that I contact the manager myself. Surely, one would expect the staff to possess adequate problem-solving skills. In a rather brusque manner, she informed me of my inability to workout and requested my departure.

As a paying member with a monthly subscription, I daresay I should have the liberty to partake in my fitness routine unimpeded. This state of affairs is quite unacceptable! I implore you to rectify this at once!

My spouse and I had a horrendous experience at this particular Planet Fitness establishment. We frequently traverse the nation for our professional endeavors and make use of the wonderful PF Blackcard membership. At EVERY PF location we've visited from the Atlantic to the Pacific, we've been invoiced $0.50 for disposable eye protection – and mind you, they do not accept cash!! You're basically required to charge it to your credit card. My husband inquired genuinely because we have NEVER encountered this policy anywhere else!! Cory and other staff members persistently defended this practice with feeble excuses! While I was using the tanning facilities, my husband phoned three other PF gyms we've frequented in Iowa and Illinois, all of which confirmed that there was NO such charge!! It's truly disheartening because we have experienced top-notch customer service at other branches we've visited. Prior to embarking on my entrepreneurial journey, I spent 30 years working in customer service, and I find this disrespectful attitude from youngsters in their 20s utterly unacceptable!!

I only hit the gym once a week, mate, but it's quality time with my boy. They keep the tunes at a decent level, so we can chat and enjoy a bit of healthy bonding. I haven't had the chance to fully delve into all the perks yet, but I reckon I'll give the massage lounges and red light therapy a go soon. Cheers!
