I've been attending Anytime Fitness in Española, NM, and let me tell you, the cleanliness situation is quite dire. The gym area often lacks paper towels, and when they are available, they're just left out in the open, getting all wet and touched by everyone. It's not only unsanitary but a serious hygiene issue. The state of the bathrooms is no better—it's just cheap dish soap instead of proper hand soap, and the dispensers are often out of order. Trash tends to linger for days, and half of the bathrooms are constantly locked. When they are open, they're usually stained and filthy.
While I understand that members should clean up after themselves, it shouldn't be my responsibility to pick up after others. The staff should be on top of this, especially considering we're paying for their service. This establishment seriously needs better management before it poses a health risk.

I must say, I've got some mixed feelings about this establishment. I do enjoy getting my workouts in when I'm in the Española area. The staff has always been incredibly kind to me, and I really appreciate the functional training section they offer. I'm a big fan of kettlebells and TRX straps, and they have a great selection of those. The deadlift platform is top-notch, and the studio is perfect for solo stretching sessions. The facilities are consistently clean, and overall, they do a really good job with the space they have.
However, I do have a complaint. My dear old mum is in her 70s, and I had finally managed to get her excited about taking charge of her health. I suggested Anytime Fitness because of all the positive aspects I observed at this gym. She signed up for a membership and even enlisted the help of a personal trainer. Things were going well for about six weeks until issues arose regarding the payment process. It seems she wanted to pay for a full year upfront, but for some reason, she was led to believe (or perhaps it was a policy – I'm not entirely sure about all the details) that they could only set up monthly withdrawals from her account. To cut a long story short, things started to unravel from there. It got to the point where my mum began receiving calls from a debt collection agency. This truly saddens me because this gym is conveniently located for my mum, and it's a fantastic facility. She always looked forward to her workouts there. If it weren't for this financial hiccup, I would rate this place five stars. Hopefully, they can resolve this matter, but who knows what will happen.

Absolutely dreadful experience. I entered the establishment with the intention of enrolling for a new membership, only to find myself waiting for a staggering 10 minutes. It was not until a fellow patron kindly directed me to the location of the so-called "manager" who had been frivolously indulging in laughter and vaping with a companion.
The facilities left much to be desired, appearing unkempt and untidy. The odorous state of the restroom, engulfed in the unmistakable stench of urine, further highlighted the lack of maintenance. The exorbitant monthly fees do not align with the substandard upkeep of the gym.
Regrettably, this appears to be the sole option available within the vicinity.

I used to be a big fan of this gym, it was the place that got me hooked on fitness over 5 years ago. However, the individual managing the front desk, whether it's the manager or the owner, is incredibly impolite for no apparent reason. After scanning my key card, he loudly questioned if I even had a membership there right in my face. I can only imagine how discouraging this must be for newcomers who are just starting their gym journey, especially women. While he was friendly with all the guys, he gave me dirty looks. On top of that, the facilities are not well-maintained, with bathrooms lacking toilet paper and soap, and some equipment on the brink of breaking down.

I was absolutely chuffed to bits to discover there was an AF just a stone's throw away from my hotel. I'm here on business and popped into the gym, only to realize I'd left my key fob in my laptop bag. Luckily, the staff were still around. The atmosphere here is simply electric and full of positivity! The group session had some banging tunes playing, so I didn't even need my headphones. Top-notch facility!!

I went and canceled my membership at Anytime Fitness back in December, but my husband decided to keep his. Well, it turns out they've been charging us for both memberships ever since. When we brought it up, they claimed I never signed the paperwork and insisted I had to come in (again) to finalize the cancellation. I made sure to sign the cancellation form this time and even snapped a photo of it today. Despite their mistake, they're refusing to refund me. Can you believe it? 🤬 So, I'm making sure to document this situation wherever I can leave a review. If you plan on signing up with them, just a heads up - keep detailed records because they lack the proper procedures to verify that you've fulfilled your part.

This gym is absolutely dreadful. The only gym that's open 24/7 around here, and it's abysmal. The bathrooms are filthy, the walls are covered in dust, and I highly doubt the equipment gets cleaned regularly. The place just doesn't smell fresh at all. I wonder if it's owned by a big corporation or just a local individual. I always feel gross leaving here instead of energized after a workout.

The gym has some good gear, but blimey, the staff are like ghosts! You ring 'em up a hundred times and no one picks up. And when you finally see them in the gym, they're proper rude. I reckon it's worth heading to Los Alamos or Santa Fe instead, much better service there.
