Absolutely dreadful customer service. They refuse to cancel my membership unless I physically go in to do so, which is impossible with my work schedule. I've had this membership for almost a year and haven't been able to set foot in the gym due to my changing job hours. Despite this, they show no willingness to accommodate my situation and cancel my membership. It seems like this place is so desperate for a measly $40 monthly membership fee that they're willing to inconvenience their customers.

I have been frequenting this gym on and off for about 8 years now. Spiece has a diverse mix of regular folks and some hidden elite athletes and gym enthusiasts. In terms of demographics, if Spiece were a market, its members would most closely resemble those you'd encounter at a Costco - laid-back, easy-going individuals.

The gym equipment is a blend of much-needed and welcomed newer additions alongside some older functional ones that still get the job done.

The layout of the equipment could be improved, particularly the placement of the squat racks on the wooden floors. The racks should have a prime position in front of the mirrors without any obstructions, allowing users to maintain proper form and prevent injuries. They should also be perfectly aligned with the mirrors, as they are currently slightly angled, which can throw off your form when using the mirror for guidance.

The equipment could benefit from a thorough deep clean/refresh, especially the rubber-coated plates. Additionally, the free weight area could use 1-2 newer adjustable portable benches.

A sound system in the workout areas, bathrooms, and lounge is sorely needed. It helps ease any awkwardness and creates a more relaxed atmosphere. Just put together a playlist and let it shuffle.

While I cannot speak to the group fitness classes personally, I have heard excellent things about them, and much effort has been dedicated to the new studio, reflecting thoughtful planning and care.

Spiece offers a wide range of amenities. While my focus is primarily on weightlifting, others may discover numerous great opportunities at this gym.

A big shoutout to all the staff for their hard work, and to the ladies at the front desks who graciously handle my shenanigans. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.
