Top-notch gym in the area, spotless and never crowded. They're open 25/7 with a welcoming team that can't be beat. You won't find a better option locally, unless you fancy jetting off to Colombia or nearby regions, but then you'll be looking at sky-high prices plus travel costs. I can't recommend this gym enough, it's truly a hidden gem in our small town!

Updated comment after response from gym owner:
I was employed at this establishment for an extensive period, ending approximately 5 years in the past. The proprietor, Kelvin, exhibited a propensity for berating individuals, myself included, often within earshot of additional patrons. I wish to acknowledge the individual referenced in a previous glowing review, Bud, as a pleasant acquaintance during my tenure here. However, the assertion that Kelvin only directs hostility towards those displaying disrespect is regrettably inaccurate.

Kelvin frequently made disparaging remarks, whether directly or indirectly, towards individuals. For instance, on one occasion, he openly ridiculed a gentleman's workout routine on the cable machines; Kelvin exaggeratedly mimicked his motions to me, gestured towards him, rolled his eyes, and referred to him as a "sweat machine" - all while the individual was within vicinity. Furthermore, my colleagues and I humorously dubbed the numerous assertive and unwelcoming signs posted throughout the gym as "the mean signs," a recurring theme during our staff meetings. These signs remain prominently displayed in various locations within the facility.

My decision to resign from this position stemmed from the unlawful practice of withholding overtime compensation despite consistently exceeding 40 hours of work per week, particularly during the peak of the pandemic. In accordance with labor laws, hourly employees in non-exempt roles are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked beyond the standard 40-hour workweek. Therefore, I fail to discern any wrongdoing on my part necessitating an apology or admission of fault. In fact, I entertained the prospect of patronizing the gym following a five-year hiatus, relieved at the prospect of limited interactions with Kelvin.

Upon recently rejoining as a member (owing to its proximity to my residence), I encountered Kelvin midway through a workout session. To my astonishment, he promptly requested my departure, citing my prior exit due to unpaid wages - a violation of labor regulations. His demeanor exuded a sense of vindictive pleasure as he delivered this news with a smile.

In hindsight, I regret not previously assigning a one-star rating to this establishment. Kelvin's conduct is unequivocally reprehensible.

The friendly staff and top-notch equipment make this place a fantastic find!
Jonathan Kim (4/24/25, 7:57 PM):
I've been attending this gym for about 4 years now, and I must say, things have taken a turn for the worse since the management change around 10 months ago. Each month, it's a battle with the owner over unexpected fees that seem to pop up out of nowhere. Not to mention, there's no potable water available on the premises - the tap water is downright undrinkable, and the new owner has the audacity to charge $3 for water bottles from a vending machine. The quality equipment keeps disappearing as it gets sold off for a quick profit, making it increasingly difficult to carry out my desired workout routine. After much frustration, I eventually decided to terminate my membership after 4 long years. I really wanted to support this gym, especially since it's conveniently located near my home, but eventually, the extra 5-minute drive to a proper gym became a more appealing option.

I've been a member of this gym since I moved to Glenelg about four years ago, and let me tell you, it's an absolute gem. The owner is top-notch and the place is always spotless. They're open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and they've got a great selection of equipment that's always in tip-top shape. Kelvin, the owner, doesn't tolerate any nonsense and expects everyone to be courteous and respectful.

It's important for folks to remember that there are always two sides to every story, especially when reading reviews like the one Mr. Davis shared.
