Run by an absolute scammer. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR YEARS WITH NO WAY TO CANCEL THE SUBSCRIPTION!!!! The people working there somehow can't cancel your membership but they have no trouble signing you up. I was given the email and number of the owner to cancel, and repeated attempts over several months to make contact were ignored. I had to tell my credit card company to reject payment requests. Now I've been sent to collections for an ongoing subscription I did not use and was unable to cancel. This is criminal activity and a total scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!!!

Because it's a great gym and it's just across the street from where I live.
Judy Sanders (4/25/25, 3:18 PM):
I tried out a free trial last week because I was thinking of joining the gym. Every time I went, there was no one inside (around 11:50am) and the front doors were locked, so I couldn't get in. The gym is quite small and doesn't have a suitable area for Olympic lifting. It also felt unclean, as there didn't seem to be anyone cleaning it on the days I managed to enter. Additionally, there was never anyone at the front desk, so even if I wanted to sign up for a membership, I wouldn't have been able to do so.
Kimberly Cox (4/24/25, 1:36 AM):
The staff is quite unfriendly and unhelpful. Just a heads up, if you wish to cancel, they tack on an additional month to your bill.
Thomas Miller (4/21/25, 3:14 PM):
The price I pay for this tiny gym is just too much, I tell you. Folks come waltzing in like they own the place, not a care in the world about paying, and then they bring in their dodgy mates without coughing up a penny. And don't even get me started on those pesky fleas running amok, I swear they're everywhere, absolutely everywhere! And would you believe they only have a single squat rack? Oh, and did I happen to mention the flea infestation?
Albert Evans (4/21/25, 2:55 PM):
I would not suggest visiting this gym! I encountered numerous financial and billing issues due to the negligence of one of their staff members, and no attempts were made to rectify the situation. My emails to the gym went unanswered, and my overall experience with CalFit was dreadful.
Judy Gutierrez (4/13/25, 1:15 PM):
Great place to get a workout in. They are open 24 hours with a card-lock door system. However, there seems to be an issue with billing, which is quite unfortunate. Not the best experience. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to deal with that hassle. It's not worth the trouble once they have your credit card information.

The gym is relatively clean inside, especially for a gym. They have enough equipment for most types of workouts.
Victoria Anderson (4/10/25, 7:52 PM):
Absolutely smashing owner. He let me have a go at the gym during my business trip for a mere $20 for 4 days. The gear is a tad dated and could do with some fresh padding on some bits, but it's chock-full of everything you need to get in top-notch workouts. Cheers!
Melissa Walker (4/9/25, 12:24 AM):
The owner is a complete scam artist, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them!
Amelia Lee (4/7/25, 3:06 PM):
I have been frequenting the gym for nearly 30 years since it initially opened under a different name. It suits me perfectly. I have visited many large gym facilities in the past, but I prefer the compactness of this one because all the machines are conveniently placed next to each other, allowing me to complete my workout swiftly. The equipment is user-friendly, the pricing is reasonable, and the facility operates 24/7. Moreover, it is impeccably clean. Admittedly, the parking situation can be a bit challenging, and one must remember to pay the meters after 9 o'clock. However, the location is extremely convenient for me, and I am back on track feeling fit. Additionally, now that I am over 65, there is a program called "silver and fit" that covers my gym membership costs, which is fantastic.
Ryan Flores (4/3/25, 11:54 PM):
I was charged $39 a month. One would believe that once you've paid, you have 30 days to hit the gym, but alas, that's not how the cancellation process operates. I found another gym with a broader range of equipment and even a basketball court for the same cost. So when I sought to cancel my current membership, I had to jump through numerous hoops. Even after giving my 30-day notice, I still got hit with an additional $39 charge. I coughed up the payment on February 6, yet my membership was set to expire on February 10. It feels like I only had four days after shelling out money, despite having provided a 30-day heads-up. This situation is truly vexing...
Stephen Lee (4/1/25, 2:33 AM):
Calls go unanswered, quite tricky to get in touch, problems with billing, seems like the gym is just coasting along. I do question if the owner grasps the significance of fostering strong business relationships with their clients.
Joseph Jenkins (3/25/25, 12:58 PM):
Great gym in the area. The Staff is so friendly.
Shirley Barnes (3/25/25, 10:40 AM):
Compact but never too busy, and open 24/7.
Megan Martinez (3/24/25, 2:21 AM):
They shut down due to COVID and stopped taking my payments. I had to get a new card, and by the time they decided, with no warning, to resume charging me, they had sent $87 to collections, causing a major headache before I even knew what was happening. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! If I could, I'd give them negative 5 stars!
