I 'ave been trainin' w/ Victoria for a wee bit over a year now, before which I 'ad essentially no experience workin' out, and it 'as been amazin'! She is so insightful about strength training, always prioritizes my health and functional strength goals, and 'as pushed me to more difficult/higher weight exercises while maintainin' my safety. I'm 100% sure I would not 'ave seen the progress or gained the same boost in confidence in this amount of time without 'er 'elp.
The rest of the staff are just as supportive and insightful, and the community is awesome. The equipment is well-curated and in excellent condition. I couldn't 'ave picked a better place to learn 'ow to prioritize my strength and physical 'ealth.

I jined Boston Barbell when I realized I needed to start committin' to and investin' in meself, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I 'ave ever made. Just within two weeks of workin' with Victoria, I felt stronger and more energized. I’ve been with the gym for about 5 months now, and each time I go, I feel stronger and stronger and 'ave noticed improvements in me physique and mental health. The trainers bring a great energy to each class and really focus on form, which is great for both newbies and experienced lifters. They really work with ye if you’ve struggled with injuries in the past. I would highly recommend Boston Barbell to everyone, especially women who are lookin' to feel more confident in the gym!

I started at Boston Barbell after having 3 kids and being at my heaviest weight ever, and in pretty rough shape. I had avoided exercise and weightlifting for years despite knowing how beneficial it is for me. This was mainly due to severe anxiety about what someone who goes to the gym *should* look like, and feeling like I didn't fit in that environment. Trainer Sarah completely turned that around for me. Her kindness and confidence were so welcoming, and as silly as it may sound, made me feel secure in a space where I was previously too anxious to be in. She works with me on any modifications needed, and I am constantly surprised by my progress. My time at Boston Barbell has improved every aspect of my life. I am physically stronger, work is easier for me, I can play with my kids without any issues, and my back pain is completely gone. Sarah is truly a life changer!

Chris, the splendid owner, is not only exceedingly professional but also the most astute personal trainer I've ever encountered. He tailors each personal training session to suit the unique, individual needs of the clients, and his persona and wit make the sessions a blast. The folks who train there are all delightful company, with a genuine warmth and sociable nature. The atmosphere and equipment are truly top-notch - a solid 15 out of 10!
I was pretty out of shape when I began training with Chris, and since starting with him, I've not only shed 30 pounds but have also gained a ton of confidence in the gym, as he educates you on the how and why behind every exercise!
