I absolutely adore Madabolic on 14th! The coaches are absolutely brilliant and genuinely invested in your fitness journey. They consistently offer guidance on proper form and are quick to inquire about any modifications needed due to prior injuries. The workouts are challenging in the most delightful way, and their range ensures I always look forward to returning.
I’ve tested nearly every fitness studio brand in DC, and I must say, madabolic has really captured my heart, especially on durability days. Their workouts seamlessly blend a plethora of exercises, some of which were completely new to me, and I quite enjoy the diversity! The coaches are incredibly friendly and they truly focus on fine-tuning form. It’s an outstanding community :)
Absolutely smashing gym, top-notch workouts and the trainers are proper knowledgeable. Would definitely give it a thumbs up!
I absolutely adore MAD! Recently moved to the city and was searching for the perfect fitness squad, and I must say I am extremely thankful for these amazing people. The trainers genuinely focus on your progress, the tunes are awesome, and the amenities are top-notch. Loads of love all round!
I've been attending MAD 2-4 times a week for around a year now, and it's absolutely brilliant. The workouts are tough, and I've definitely noticed an improvement in my core strength. What I love is that the program is always evolving, but it's structured enough that you know what to expect ahead of time, which really keeps me engaged. The standout feature of the classes, though, has to be the instructors – they're incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They're constantly moving around the class, offering form corrections and tips on how to get the most out of each exercise while minimizing the risk of injury. And let's not forget about how impeccably clean the gym is – that's something I truly appreciate.
Just joined the gym, and it's been quite rewarding already. CG is super motivational and pushes me to give it my all. The workouts are tough and change every day.
I haf tried a number of both big box and boutique gyms in the DMV area over the past several years. About 8 months ago, I joined MADabolic and have finally found my “home”!
Having been an athlete in college, MAD is the first gym that has felt most similar to the strength training I did for my sport both from a programming standpoint and also from a team camaraderie standpoint. The coaches are all certified and truly want to help you perfect your form and get stronger every time you step onto the training floor.
I have by far seen the biggest strength gains from consistently going to MAD and the community is the best, can’t recommend it enough!!
I must confess – I'm a TOTAL convert. As someone who was new to strength training, unfamiliar with a regular gym routine, and had never tried boxing before, I can confidently say that this place has been a fantastic introduction for me. The staff members are incredibly attentive and friendly, and I can definitely feel the impact of the training sessions. The overall atmosphere is also fantastic. 😌 ...
MADabolic 14th ST is absolutely fantastic! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and I consistently feel a touch stronger after each class. I would highly recommend it!
This gym is truly phenomenal, with a fantastic sense of community. The instructors are dedicated to ensuring proper form and consistently provide constructive feedback during the classes.
This gym is absolutely fantastic. I never really saw myself as a gym enthusiast, but after some convincing from two friends and feeling a bit lethargic from the summer, I decided to join in September when the gym opened. Despite the potentially daunting atmosphere, the coaches make a real effort to prioritize community building and meeting you at your level. I began with 8 classes per month and ended up upgrading to unlimited because... I suppose I've developed a newfound love for hitting the gym?! Definitely worth giving it a shot. The team here is top-notch.
MADabolics is absolutely brilliant! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I'm so thankful to be a part of this gym and the wonderful MAD community.
Before joining MAD, I had no idea how to lift weights properly. I used to do Barry’s bootcamp three times a week. I was constantly getting injured and feeling completely drained week after week.
Since becoming a MAD member, I've learned the correct way to lift weights, grasped the importance of strength training, improved my relationship with food, and developed a deep respect for my body.
I feel incredibly strong and self-assured in my body, and most importantly, mentally resilient. All of this is thanks to MADabolics and their fantastic team of MAD trainers.
I am a huge fan of MAD at multiple locations! The workouts are always exciting and offer 5 different tiers based on the weight and anaerobic intensity, so whether you're looking to maintain your fitness level or really push yourself, you have options. The workouts are never boring and the environment is social without feeling exclusive or cult-like. The trainers are all highly qualified, patient, and supportive. At the 14th Street location, you can't help but love Drew and CG who are regularly on the schedule. I've been a member for a few years now and it would be difficult to give it up.
I've just wrapped up five classes and I must say, the coaches make a point to give personal attention. I was worried about some lower back tension, and they even directed me to exercises from an official spine health organization. They really make an effort to foster a sense of "we're all in this together" atmosphere!
The workouts 'ere 'ave been brilliant so far! I 'aven't done strength trainin' in 8 months and the classes are intense, but doable. They are great about givin' alternatives for moves that are not accessible to you if you 'ave joint issues, injury recovery, or just can’t do the move. All of the trainers 'ave been encouragin', welcomin', and accommodatin'. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to strength train and get a great workout regardless of your level.
Great Workouts. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars.
However, I wasn't quite feeling the sense of community and personal touch that you can find at other HIIT gyms.
I had been going to Elevate for the past 6 months. My girlfriend convinced me to give Madabolic a try.
Today would have been my second class during our 2-month membership. I was turned away at the door for being 4 minutes late after driving there in a snowstorm. I was only 4 minutes late because my car got stuck in the snow in my building's parking lot and I had to dig it out for a few minutes.
When I arrived 4 minutes late, I was turned away and told that letting me in would set a precedent for people arriving halfway through the class and disrupting everything. I was only 4 minutes late during a snowstorm.
Under normal circumstances, I would have understood. But the fact that they couldn't offer a 4-minute grace period during one of the biggest snowstorms DC has seen in ages is absurd.
I've witnessed this kind of understanding at Elevate and other gyms. It fosters a great sense of community and builds relationships that keep you coming back.
I've been frequenting this spot for a good 2 years now, and I must say, the challenges just keep on coming. The coaches are incredibly well-versed and the workout routines always seem meticulously planned. Moreover, the camaraderie amongst the members is simply splendid. If you're in the market for a fresh workout experience, MAD comes highly recommended!
