I've got a place by the lake in China ME, and I hail from Mass. Your gear is top-notch, and the gym layout really makes you want to keep coming back. The staff is so friendly and the place is spotless. I'll definitely be back before the week is out. Having a gym like this helps me keep a positive mindset while I'm here. My old Planet Fitness feels so outdated and lacks trainers. Thanks a bunch!

I absolutely adore the Waterville branch! It's spotless! The team there is simply top-notch! They're always so friendly and ready to assist with anything you need!
Planet Fitness offers a wide variety of fitness machines to target every muscle in your body, including free weights and tanning booths. They have steppers and treadmills available, and it appears there are plenty to share. It can get busy from 4 to 6, but it's still manageable.
Planet Fitness was spotless and the equipment was in top-notch condition. The staff was super friendly and flexible with my schedule while visiting family. I am definitely keeping this location in mind for future visits.
Due to the circumstances with COVID-19, I had to relocate back up this way towards the end of April. Since early autumn, I have been making use of the gym facilities here in Waterville (my main gym is in Falmouth). The establishment is well-maintained and the staff members have been extremely friendly. However, there has been a slight issue with one of the female night cleaners who tends to engage in controversial conversations in the locker room, clean the men's area while they are showering, and show disrespect to elderly veterans.
In recent months, I have noticed a growing number of individuals not adhering to the mask-wearing mandate in the state of Maine. It is disappointing to see this lack of consideration for others' health and safety. Despite multiple complaints to the staff about certain individuals not following the mask protocol, it seems that little action has been taken.
Just this evening, as I was entering the facility, I observed a young girl speaking to the lady at the front desk with her mask pulled down below her chin. She proceeded to lift weights without pulling it up. Furthermore, I noticed three males in the vicinity with their masks either not covering their noses or mouths. One of them even worked out right in front of the front desk with his nose exposed, and yet no one reprimanded him.
To add to the frustration, the showers have been running ice cold for over a week now. It is disheartening to see these lapses in safety measures and overall maintenance at the gym.
The gym was decent, but what really stood out to me was the stunning young lady who works there. She meticulously cleans the place throughout the day.
Big shoutout to the Planet Fitness in Waterville, ME! This place is absolutely fantastic. I popped in around 1 PM, and let me tell you, the level of cleanliness was top-notch. The floors were being scrubbed, vacuuming was in full swing, and I even spotted staff giving the machines and equipment a good wipe down. The bathrooms and locker rooms were sparkling clean.
The layout is just perfect – everything is easy to locate and flows seamlessly. All the equipment is in excellent condition; you can tell they take great care of it. And the staff? Super professional – no one was glued to their phones or chit-chatting. They were all focused on maintaining the place in tip-top shape.
I was also impressed by the variety of protein snacks available. And a major bonus: no one was hogging the machines. Everyone was considerate and kept the flow going.
As a Black Card member who travels frequently and visits different PF locations, I have to say, today's visit left me feeling incredibly welcomed. The staff here really knows how to make a visitor feel right at home. If you're in Waterville, this Planet Fitness is a must-visit for any gym enthusiast! Way better than my usual spot "up North."
I absolutely adore the Waterville Planet Fitness. The environment is always pristine, with a friendly and approachable staff, and spacious bathroom and changing facilities. The showers are usually lovely and hot, and the restrooms are kept clean. I have never encountered any issues here!
Whoever is criticizing the staff and the establishment here must be out of their minds. The team and the facilities are fantastic. I've been a member since day one and have never encountered any issues. From management to the frontline staff, they are exactly what you would want in a gym team. The hydro massage beds are definitely available, and the staff are consistently friendly and ready to assist with anything you may require. So, to all the complainers out there, cease your griping. If you don't like the gym, then simply find another place to go; Planet Fitness is absolutely awesome.
I must say, as someone who travels frequently and has visited many gyms around the world, my recent experience in Maine was a bit surprising. Upon my arrival at the gym, I was warmly welcomed by a courteous young gentleman. However, when the manager informed me that the daily rate was $20 (which added up quite substantially for my 13-day stay) or a membership fee of $59, I couldn't help but feel taken aback.
In all my travels, I have never encountered such steep pricing just to access a gym facility. Despite my attempts to negotiate a better rate, it seemed non-negotiable. Personally, I believe there is room for improvement on Planet Fitness's part in terms of pricing and flexibility.
Thankfully, I stumbled upon another nearby gym where the owner offered me a flat fee of $20 for the entire 13 days! It was a refreshing change and certainly made my stay in Maine more enjoyable. 😊
Absolutely dreadful customer service, ancient equipment. Why on earth wouldn't they simply remove the defective shelf instead of plastering it with a sign?
The website claims it's open 24/7 on Fridays, however the young lady at the reception desk mentioned they shut down at 9 pm. There seems to be a discrepancy in the information provided.

I come to this gym because the location is very handy. The cleanliness leaves something to be desired. It's a good idea to bring hand sanitizer and flip flops if you plan on using the showers. There is plenty of parking available and it's conveniently located near the freeway.
