I usually cook at home and I like to think I'm pretty good at it. So, I can be quite particular when it comes to spending my money on food elsewhere. However, I recently decided to give YFF a try as I'm not a fan of calorie counting and am looking to shed a few pounds. For my first visit, I ordered 3 meals. After bringing them home, my hubby and I each tried one for dinner, making sure to taste each other's choices. I specifically went for the chicken alfredo to test out their sauce. While there wasn't an abundance of sauce (which makes sense, as most of the calories hide in there!), it was surprisingly delicious! My husband opted for the Hawaiian pork, and he was equally satisfied. I'm saving the third meal for tomorrow since the expiration date allows for more time compared to today's purchase.
This evening, I popped in and picked up the Pork Pernil, and I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. I couldn't handle the heat of the ancho sauce that came with the dish as it was super spicy. But spice enthusiasts would definitely appreciate it! I'm impressed by the taste of the food and find the pricing reasonable (especially considering the soaring costs of food these days!). The containers may appear small, but they are packed with plenty of food. I transferred tonight's meal onto a plate and was amazed by the generous portion! I've longed for a place that serves healthy "fast" food that actually tastes good, and now my wish has been granted! I'm grateful for YFF's location in The Orchards, as it's conveniently on my route to and from work, leaving me with no excuse not to drop by when I need a quick meal or two. I've already started spreading the word among people I know about how excellent this place is!
