My darling daughter (well, actually all 4 of my munchkins, 2 of whom are on the spectrum) simply adore 10th Planet Altus.

Jason and his team of coaches are top-notch with my kiddos.

The vibe is warm and inviting. The aim is to enjoy and acquire self-defense skills.

I must say, the camaraderie that has blossomed and the strides my babies are making in their chosen discipline truly warms my heart.

My lad was really keen on picking up karate, but the sensei didn't seem to focus much on teaching karate itself. The classes were often cut short for activities like bouncing around in inflatable houses or replaced with parties. There was a constant problem with classes starting late, finishing early, or running way over time (sometimes by over an hour). The schedule was always changing and disorganized, and young kids were asked to do exercises that even most adults would find challenging. When we raised any concerns, the sensei seemed to dismiss them and showed little respect for parents and other teachers, simply saying "my school, my rules".

We had such high expectations, but considering the steep price they were asking for, it just wasn't worth it. We felt like we were being taken advantage of the whole time.
