I've trained at a few gyms in the Raleigh area for kickboxing/Muay Thai, and my experience at Apex Martial Arts Center has been far superior to the others. The owner really goes above and beyond to ensure his students are receiving top-notch training in proper technique and attention to detail, all while prioritizing safety. The coaches here strike a perfect balance between motivating and pushing students to improve, while also providing accurate and constructive feedback. The training environment is fantastic, with a strong emphasis on sparring etiquette and mutual respect. The staff and training partners are excellent, and I've seen significant improvements in my skills since joining this gym.

This is a cracking martial arts academy with top-notch coaches and a fantastic bunch of training partners. The mix of skill levels and ages, not to mention the men and women, creates a really dynamic training environment. Wayne and Geoff are the real deal when it comes to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction, blending years of experience with a genuine knack for teaching. I honestly can't sing the praises of AMAC enough!

The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and really know their stuff. I must say, I've been quite impressed with Don Rodgers and his team at Apex Martial Arts Center. They've gone above and beyond in implementing COVID-19 safety measures and adapting to the changing guidelines. My son began his journey in beginner kickboxing back in April, and he's absolutely loving it - from the instructors to his fellow classmates. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Apex Martial Arts Center to anyone looking to start their martial arts journey.

I must say, the mat space in this Martial Arts school is absolutely MASSIVE! They've got 5 or 10 heavy bags, a perfect blend of both experienced practitioners and younger students. Just an awesome vibe all around!

I first joined Openguard in 2016 and trained there until 2019 when an injury set me back. However, I returned in 2021 and couldn't be happier. One of the things I love about this place is that there are no contracts. This is especially great for parents with kids who might change their interests frequently. I learned so much in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu during my time there, and I hope to get back to it soon. If you're thinking about trying it out, don't hesitate to give Don a call today.
