I journeyed to Winchester for work and sought out a local dojo to practice at. After contacting several options, the only one where I could engage with someone directly was Riverbend. Being a frequent traveler, I have visited numerous dojos in different locations. Riverbend stands out as one of the more positive experiences I've had when dropping by a dojo. The folks there were incredibly cordial and hospitable, alongside fantastic guidance and engaging sparring sessions. Everyone brought their A-game, yet maintained a safe and controlled environment. An excellent spot for training indeed.

I've been attending Shannon Arts AJJ for a while now, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer. If you're in law enforcement, this is the place to be. Professor Billy has equipped me with the tools I require to stay safe and secure while on duty. Plus, it's fantastic for fitness. The folks I practice with are top-notch and always ready to lend a hand inside and outside of the dojo.

I trained at that martial arts school for a little over a year before life got hectic. I was completely new to the sport, never having wrestled or done anything similar before. After taking an 8-month break, I moved to Texas and decided to get back into training. I just wanted to give a shoutout to Coach/Owner/Professor Shannon, Billy, Bryan Smith. Thank you for everything you taught me during the short time I was there with my friend. Since moving to Texas and starting Jiu-Jitsu again, the guys at the gym here thought I was a "mid-level blue belt" in terms of my movement and skills. While I know I'm nowhere near that level, it speaks volumes about the high-quality instruction you provide and shows that you are truly top-notch. Keep up the great work, and thanks once again. Perhaps I'll drop by for a visit when I come back to town.

Last summer, we discovered SUP Riverbend BJJ and, after chatting with Billy and learning about jiu jitsu, we decided to enroll our children to experience it. Fast forward a year, and our entire family is now actively participating in their training. The coaching is excellent, the workouts are fantastic, and the community is incredibly friendly. I enthusiastically suggest them to anyone I come across!

I walked into Shannon Arts Academy as a complete beginner to MMA, with no prior experience. I didn't know anyone there, but I was warmly welcomed with open arms. Even though I didn't have a gi, they quickly provided me with a loaner until I got my own. The atmosphere was so friendly, and Billy is incredibly knowledgeable. Everyone at the academy is willing to help and explain anything you might be struggling with. I began my free trial and instantly fell in love with it. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next session there.
