I began training with Coach Deb two years back. I've always been active at other fitness centers and was in decent shape, but my joints would ache and I always seemed to have a sore shoulder or tight muscles, or some other injury. My aim with Deb was to get stronger without getting injured. Under Coach Deb's guidance, I've grown stronger than I've been in perhaps 30 years, and my body feels free of pain. I can really feel my strength and lack of pain in everyday activities like when I'm working in the yard, or for instance, if I stumble on something, I can regain my balance without hitting the ground.
Despite participating in her group training sessions, she customizes the program for each person, suggesting weights tailored to me, providing nutritional guidance, and checking on my sleep routines. Coach Deb always radiates positivity and offers encouragement. Her gym is pristine and orderly. The ambiance is lively and relaxed, yet the exercises are approached with seriousness as Deb supervises to ensure we exercise safely and with proper form.

In January 2021, I made the decision to prioritize my health. Weighing in at 275 pounds and experiencing stiffness and soreness daily, I knew something had to change. That's when I began working with Coach Debbie three times a week and incorporated daily walks into my routine. Engaging in weightlifting sessions with Debbie resulted in a visible transformation of my body. It's often difficult to notice changes when you see yourself every day, but I was developing muscles in areas I had never seen before. Despite my ongoing struggles with food, I managed to make improvements by gradually cutting out unhealthy foods as suggested by Coach Debbie. By November 2021, I had shed 40 pounds and numerous inches all around my body. But most importantly, I felt strong! The sensation of feeling the muscles in my arms, legs, glutes, and abs was truly amazing.
