I've been regularly attending Ethos for the past 9 months, and it's been a fantastic experience. I'm in my forties, and my main aim was to enhance my strength and endurance. I've struggled with lower back pain for a few years, but it has improved significantly since I started working out at Ethos. I've tried to maintain my fitness over the years through home workouts and gym sessions, but I never stayed consistent. The system that Jonathon and his team have established to keep you coming back consistently is excellent. All the trainers excel at explaining the how and why behind each exercise. The workouts are conducted in a group setting but personalized to your objectives. It's wonderful to arrive and have your workout planned out for you, much better than wandering around the gym trying to find an available machine. You'll encounter a diverse range of individuals at Ethos - from dedicated athletes preparing for competitions to dads in their forties trying to combat aging. The atmosphere at Ethos is warm and inclusive. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Ethos has been the gym to which I've been a member the longest, for over 5 years, and it is truly the best decision I've ever made ☺️ I've been part of different gyms and I've practiced yoga. I'm quite active, but I never really learned how to strength train properly and understand the right techniques. Especially as I've gotten older, many old injuries have resurfaced, particularly hip issues after surgery. Ethos taught me how to weight train, created specific workouts tailored to my activities, and adjusted them when I've gotten injured while out on the mountain (which can happen quite often lol). I'm now stronger than I was in my 20s and I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to improve in MTB & skiing without them. Margaret and the trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and they work with you one-on-one during every session, it's just an amazing place. The community is fantastic and I feel fortunate to have made lifelong friends there!! I owe so much to this gym 💚

I've been sweating it out at Ethos since August 2019. I had gone several years without any regular workout or conditioning, depending on sports and hiking to keep in shape. I felt alright, but I started to notice a decline in my strength and muscle tone, and began experiencing more frequent back and shoulder problems. When I struggled to lift my bike onto the roof of my car, I knew it was time to make a change and give Ethos a try for a month. I was a bit dubious - why fork out money to exercise when I could do it much cheaper at the local recreation center? I soon discovered the answer - firstly, proper technique is key, and I lacked the knowledge to realize where I was going wrong. The coaches made small adjustments to my form, and I immediately saw improvements - not only in the intensity of my workouts but most importantly, in preventing injuries. While I know there are similar tips on YouTube, having direct input and coaching on a daily basis has made a significant impact. Secondly, when I previously did personalized workouts, having a personal coach to create my exercises kept me engaged and motivated, and provided a great resource for making changes or honing specific skills. Now, I participate in group workouts but still receive one-on-one coaching on form and technique. The coaches are supportive and motivating, yet quick to correct form and technique to ensure I make the most of my time in the gym. And lastly, there's something to be said about working out in a place where the coaches know you. On my own, I'd go weeks between workouts, and sometimes I'd cut them short if I got bored. At Ethos, I've been consistent and push through every workout. Could I achieve the same results on my own? Probably, but I've realized that I don't, and even when I was committed and disciplined, I never reached the level of progress I have achieved at Ethos.
