Whether you’re looking for a place to exercise, host a birthday party, or participate in fun activities with your children, Goodson has something to offer everyone.

Accessibility Features

One of the standout features of Goodson Recreation Center is its accessibility. The facility includes a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that all visitors can enjoy the amenities without any hurdles. This commitment to accessibility makes it a welcoming space for families and individuals with varying needs.

Service Options and Amenities

Goodson offers numerous service options designed to accommodate diverse recreational interests. The swimming pool is a highlight, featuring an Olympic-sized design perfect for lap swimming and family fun. However, feedback from patrons indicates that the temperature of the pool can be quite cold, particularly for younger children. It’s essential to check the schedule as swim lessons may coincide with public swim hours, potentially limiting access. In addition to the pool, Goodson features multiple basketball courts and racquetball courts. These spaces are often used for classes and leagues, providing opportunities for both casual play and competitive sports.

Activities for Children

Goodson Recreation Center is particularly known for being good for kids' birthdays. The gymnastics area is a popular venue for parties, with dedicated staff assisting in making these events enjoyable for youth. Furthermore, the center regularly conducts swimming lessons, dance classes like jazz, and even gymnastics programs for children, making it a go-to spot for families seeking engaging activities for their kids.

On-Site Services

The on-site services at Goodson catch the attention of many locals. With friendly staff and well-maintained facilities, patrons often express satisfaction with the community atmosphere. Additionally, there are various classes offered, ranging from fitness to arts and crafts, allowing visitors to explore new hobbies. However, some feedback suggests that equipment maintenance could be improved, especially concerning safety gear for activities like racquetball. Ensuring that equipment is available and properly maintained is crucial for a positive experience.

Final Thoughts

While Goodson Recreation Center boasts a variety of amenities and a welcoming environment, certain aspects need continuous attention, such as the temperature of the swimming pool and the availability of quality equipment. Despite these challenges, the overall facilities, including a clean locker room and ample workout space, make this center a valuable part of the Centennial community. Loads of activities to enjoy. Swimming pool catered for both little ones and grown-ups, along with a fabulous hot tub.
Laura Reed (4/29/25, 10:23 PM):
The staff is so friendly, there's a wide variety of equipment available, and the programming for all ages is fantastic.
Bruce Cruz (4/29/25, 7:58 PM):
The staff is incredibly friendly and the place is spotless. It's obvious they've done some renovations recently. Definitely one of the top community recreation centers I've visited. Masks are now optional. Sunday racquetball is an absolute blast! If you're interested in joining a singles racquetball league, there are numerous options available. There's a wide range of activities to pick from as well.

I recently moved from Colorado to another state. My child had been attending gymnastics classes at Goodson Recreation Center for almost 3 years. After relocating, we visited three recreation centers here. All of them were a quarter of the size of Goodson Recreation Center. Additionally, there is no limit on class sizes here, so kids have to wait in long lines for their turn. Goodson Recreation Center limits the number of kids in each class, allowing for more personalized 1-1 learning with the teacher. After three months, we decided to switch our child to a private gymnastics class for $85 a month (four days a week) that offers the same level of instruction as Goodson Recreation Center. Goodson Recreation Center truly stands out by providing excellent gymnastics classes at an affordable price.

A splendid ambiance, exceptionally tidy, and abundance of activities to engage in. Exceptionally family-oriented.
Amanda Powell (4/27/25, 2:47 AM):
It's an old setup but works great for me and the family. Kids swim area, racquetball courts, gymnastics, dance classes, etc. Updated weight room, cardio, arts and crafts.
Barbara Hayes (4/26/25, 5:31 AM):
My kids partake in classes and engage in sports activities here - ballet, art, sports camp, basketball. It's neat, the rates are fair, every class we've attended has been fantastic. We adore visiting here to swim as well. Stellar recreation center!
Donald Butler (4/25/25, 2:36 AM):
I had a children's birthday party in the gymnastics area here, and then we had lunch and cupcakes. The staff was lovely and welcoming.
Amelia Brown (4/21/25, 8:13 PM):
The classes at Goodson Rec Center have a lot to offer, I'm there six days a week. It's a brilliant place not only to exercise but to socialize and make new acquaintances.
Virginia Gray (4/20/25, 1:11 PM):
Ah, mate, the lifeguards were a bit harsh on the kids, weren't they? They seemed to have a go at every little one around. Can't believe they allowed them to swim with all that yelling.
Riley Evans (4/18/25, 3:36 AM):
I just caught a kindergarten basketball match. The great grandmother said it was the finest game she'd seen since her lad's playing days!
Chloe Perry (4/15/25, 10:36 AM):
The Olympic swimming pool size is 50 meters, not 25.
Sarah Foster (4/11/25, 1:01 AM):
Goodson is a remarkably spotless, beautifully furnished, and efficiently managed recreation center. The instructors exhibit great expertise, and the support staff are exceedingly amiable.
Michael Jordan (4/9/25, 12:25 PM):
Top spot, fantastic folks on the job, but the weight contraptions are dreadful if you ask me. The silver lining for them is that they'll endure forever since hardly anyone gives them a go;) They should upgrade the whole lot with cable and resistance machines like most gyms that make an effort to draw folks in. My only other quibble is that the opening hours should stretch at least until 10 PM.
Grace James (4/8/25, 2:15 AM):
I've been to a couple of birthday shindigs at this place, and let me tell you, the kiddos had an absolute whale of a time! The staff were super friendly and always ready to lend a hand. The gymnastics parties were a hoot, the staff really knew how to get the kids engaged!
Steven Scott (4/7/25, 12:59 PM):
Tremendous spot for throwing birthday bashes, and the cost is absolutely unbeatable!
Virginia Thompson (4/7/25, 9:34 AM):
The rec center is decent, but the folks at the front desk are quite unpleasant. I attempted to visit yesterday and ended up leaving due to the unwelcoming behavior of the woman at the front desk.
Alice Wright (4/7/25, 9:18 AM):
Big ol' pool, wee little kiddie pool, 2 hot tubs but 1's all outta commission. Not a soul in sight, mate.
Eric Reyes (4/6/25, 9:26 AM):
A jolly good facility, but we popped by to watch a gymnastics meet as mere spectators, you see. It was frightfully warm, awfully crowded, and quite uncomfortable, I must say. Those pesky columns were blocking the views, and one simply couldn't see anything beneath the bleachers. I dare say, this is the most dreadful venue we've attended...for spectators, at least.
Ruth Cox (4/6/25, 6:07 AM):
I absolutely adore Goodson. The gym is marvelous; there are countless machines for you to exercise on. The pool is stunning, and the walking track is quite pleasant. I really appreciate the windows that offer a lovely view.
