My challenge 'twas to find a nearby club that would teach me young'uns (ranging from 6 years to 15 years) swimming. Not only did I stumble upon the right club to meet this need, but I also found the finest instructors, especially Jordan Kennedy, who connected with me young'uns at their level. In just a short 3 months, I have witnessed remarkable progress in me young'uns. Jordan has a very strong yet nurturing teaching style. She motivates and pushes whilst supporting at the same time. I am elated to have found such a splendid coach for me young'uns!

Big shoutout to Thomas as well! He's very patient with the wee swimmers!

The summer pool membership for the family was absolutely splendid and truly worth every penny! We frequented this place so much over the summer with our little one. The social aspect was a huge appeal for us, as we loved mingling with other young families and friends in the area.

Recently, I gave their gym a go and utilized the childcare services at Kaleidoscope for our newest addition. Our baby is in great hands while I get a bit of a breather to work out. We've made the decision to extend our membership past the summer season, as we've discovered exceptional value in some of the other amenities beyond just the pools! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Top-notch club in the metro west area

Great, spotless facilities. Ample room for all sorts of activities: swimming, tennis, workout classes, yoga, weight training, and more. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and well-informed.

My children have been enjoying the summer membership at Thoreau Club for years now! With two lovely outdoor pools, 2 hot tubs, and a splash pad, it's a fantastic place to spend the summer. There's plenty of parking available and you can grab some food from Julianna's Cafe. It's a top choice for the summer months!
Sarah Hamilton (4/24/25, 4:45 PM):
Top-notch club! Though it may seem a tad steep with memberships kicking off at $115.00, the amenities are truly worth every penny. From the indoor pool and spa to the tennis court, various group classes, spin lessons, and more – this place has it all.
Keith Reyes (4/22/25, 2:07 AM):
They didn't have kiddies harnesses for the zip line. Oh bother!
Janice Collins (4/21/25, 3:15 AM):
Cheers for the Thoreau Tennis Open🎾 for giving us the chance to catch a glimpse of Hsieh Su-Wei's skills here in the States🇹🇼...
Julie Ramirez (4/17/25, 5:56 AM):
I can only comment on their summer camp which is absolutely fantastic. It's a tad on the expensive side, but there are loads of counselors who are really friendly with the kids. My son adores it and has been going for the past 3 years.
Nancy Hayes (4/14/25, 2:51 PM):
Fabulous facility. The tennis courts are in top-notch condition.
Randy Parker (4/11/25, 8:37 PM):
Top-notch sports facilities, complete with a tennis matchmaking service, quite fancy if you ask me.
Melissa Miller (4/11/25, 5:24 PM):
Fantastic team. Despite these challenging times with Covid, they are making a tremendous effort to ensure everyone feels secure.
Kyle Nguyen (4/9/25, 6:52 AM):
Great spot for the little ones and grown-ups alike
Joshua Davis (4/5/25, 12:33 PM):
My dear daughter, who is 3 years old, nearly drowned during a swimming class. I strongly advise against enrolling in swim classes at this establishment. The staff demonstrated complete negligence! I had to rescue my own child from the water when she was struggling. The instructor had turned away from her (which goes against the first rule for teachers...never turn your back on a student). The lifeguard didn’t even budge! They didn’t approach to check for any potential complications from the incident. No report of the episode was documented. If I had been distracted by my phone or not paying attention, my daughter wouldn’t be with us today. Despite the pool being filled with swimmers, families, instructors, and lifeguards, my child was left unattended and in danger of drowning. The following day, the director phoned me and acknowledged all the mistakes made by their team. The class had 6 students when the maximum capacity was 4. It is evident that this club prioritizes profit over safety. Learn from my error...save your money and opt for a more secure environment. Thoreau and their irresponsible instructor should be ashamed of themselves.
Victoria Diaz (4/5/25, 6:03 AM):
Thoreau is smashing! I absolutely adore the tennis lessons. The coach has really boosted my strength in my workouts. I can now deadlift a whopping 225 pounds.
Mary Brooks (4/4/25, 2:00 PM):
I simply must say, Lou Yanucci is the most dashing gentleman alive. His tennis courts are as splendid as he is. He is truly a remarkable and inspiring man, much like his sports facility. It's quite unbelievable that there could even be a solitary negative review. If he happens to be unattached, you absolutely must pursue him.
Willie Jordan (4/1/25, 5:06 PM):
It's alright, but there are issues with the gym. They only have one bench and two squat racks, which are the most popular pieces of equipment. If bench press is your first exercise, sometimes people hog the bench for 25 minutes, so you end up starting your workout much later than planned. I wouldn't usually complain, but considering the price we're paying, it's a bit disappointing. Come on, guys!
Bryan Ramos (4/1/25, 5:12 AM):
Lovely indoor tennis courts available at this establishment. The fitness center is also recently renovated and brand new.
