Crunch Fitness - Acworth: A Comprehensive Overview
Located in Acworth, Georgia, Crunch Fitness offers a variety of amenities designed to cater to fitness enthusiasts of all levels. While many members appreciate the equipment and community atmosphere, there are significant concerns about billing practices and customer service that potential members should consider before signing up.
Amenities at Crunch Fitness
Crunch Fitness in Acworth features a wide range of equipment, providing users with options for every workout routine. Despite this, the gym maintains a clean environment and is well-equipped for various training needs.

Membership Information
Many patrons have raised concerns regarding the membership policies at Crunch Fitness. While the gym advertises a "month-to-month" contract, numerous reviews indicate that a minimum commitment of three months is required to cancel a membership. Additionally, members reported facing challenges when attempting to cancel over the phone, with the requirement to visit in person—often resulting in unexpected fees.
User Experiences: Pros and Cons
The reception from members varies widely. On one hand, many appreciate the friendly and supportive environment, with positive mentions of staff interaction and community engagement. One member shared, "The staff is amazing, and the atmosphere is clean and always friendly!" On the other hand, several complaints focus on aggressive sales tactics related to personal training options and billing disputes that leave former members feeling frustrated and unheard.
Customer Service Concerns
Reports from members highlight a significant issue with customer service, particularly regarding billing and cancellation procedures. Multiple users noted that attempts to discuss problems with management often resulted in unhelpful responses or a lack of follow-through. One dissatisfied customer stated, "Their system got me good... I could have avoided this bad review for fixing a simple $30 late fee." This sentiment reflects a broader frustration among gym-goers who feel trapped by the contractual obligations imposed by the gym.
Final Thoughts
While Crunch Fitness in Acworth offers a vibrant community and good equipment, potential members must weigh the pros and cons before committing. Keep in mind that a membership is likely to require adherence to strict cancellation policies, and be sure to read the fine print carefully. I’ve already called and my issue has not been resolved, which is why I left a review. I asked for a call back and was told that "they" do not call customers.

I don't like this gym location because I asked the male Caucasian worker to come with a wrench or a screwdriver to tighten up a bolt on the machine, and at first, he didn't even try to do it. He instantly said, "Ummmm, nah, I would have to tell maintenance to do it." I was like, "Oh yeah, I get that, but it's just a little fix with a tool." Then he says, "Yeah, but we don't have the tools." I told him he needed a screwdriver or wrench 🔧, so this dude opens the drawer, and I go, "Yeah, that one's the one." Quick fix. But he says, "Nah, we don't have any," meanwhile, I'm looking at it while he closes it back up. That's when I realized honestly the Caucasian race is not like the Mexican workers because as soon as I tell the Mexicans it's a bolt that needs tightening and he has the tool there, he just runs up there and fixes it and doesn't have to call maintenance. I know if it is broken or unfixable, you should, but come on, he wasn't trying to do that, it would have taken 2 minutes. But the lady next to me said when there's an issue with machines, if you don't ask more than like 3 times, they don't fix it, and I'm like, man. That's ridiculous, especially if they have over 100 people in here a day. They should automatically be looking to see if a bolt needs tightening. Mind you, that's the issue half the time, and they want to wait and type on their iPad to call maintenance when you can just fix it right then and there in 1 second, it's insane. Having to have people come up here with their tools is annoying because it takes us 1 second to screw a screw, right? And they literally will say, "No, we won't do it." Like okay, I mean... update, it's a week later, and I talked to the maintenance guy the other day, and apparently, the guy I told never wrote it down. They wrote for another machine, not the leg machines. This gym blows because it's been about a week to find out this white boy never even wrote it down for that machine.

After just a month of membership, I was slapped with an annual fee. They flat-out refused to cancel my membership over the phone. Their billing practices are questionable at best. I regret ever signing up or encouraging friends and family to join.
Sandra James (5/14/25, 3:39 AM):
I simply cannot express how much I appreciate the fantastic staff at this gym. Every person I've met has been absolutely wonderful. Budour is a truly exceptional trainer. I am grateful for gaining the confidence to navigate the gym knowing exactly what I'm doing ❤️

Crunch Fitness in Acworth 'as become me second family. I 'ave been a member 'ere for over a year and can't brag enough about this place. The size of the gym was a bit overwhelming at first, but the staff 'as always been eager to assist me with me fitness journey. Each time I enter the gym, I am greeted by a very professional staff and know that all of the equipment will be in great shape and very clean. The personal training staff is fantastic and will develop a personalized program to meet your needs. I recently 'ad back surgery and me trainers included specialized exercises to 'elp with me recovery and overall strength. I am 61 years old and can honestly say I feel and look better than when I was in me prime... thanks to Crunch Fitness in Acworth and their amazing staff and trainers.
Dorothy Sanders (5/11/25, 10:33 AM):
They keep on raising the rates. Just last year they sneakily added a processing fee. So I gave them a call, and they mentioned that if I linked my bank account, they would remove that fee. Fast forward a year, and the processing fee is back, and even with my bank account linked, it's not sufficient to avoid the fee. I called again, and they basically informed me that it's because of inflation, and there's no way to waive this fee.
Russell Harris (5/11/25, 2:31 AM):
What a brilliant place! Top-notch facility and gear, tidy gym indeed. The group classes are a blast, and the staff is incredibly helpful and amiable. The only thing that could potentially elevate this experience would be the inclusion of childcare services. Cheers!
Michael Nelson (5/9/25, 3:34 AM):
This gym is absolutely brilliant. The folks are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and I've never felt out of place here. If Spin is your thing, you must give Howard's classes a try. Jacob and Toni are top-notch trainers too. The entire team is just fabulous.
Gary Ortiz (5/8/25, 10:05 PM):
Terrific gym experience. Carson is splendid at the front desk. I would absolutely recommend this gym to anyone seeking to commence their fitness journey.

This establishment won't be operational until July!
I ain't meaning to leave neither a negative nor positive review 'cause I was duped into coming here and finding it closed. I'm kinda pressed for time at the moment 'cause I've been getting into a pretty good routine and groove with everything. I came here based on online reviews stating that people had visited, which clearly ain't possible as the place is still under construction. I was quite annoyed 'cause Atlanta is a challenge to navigate and it can take ages to get around. I understand that y'all are urging your employees to try and sign up folks when they show up at the gym to check if it's open, but it just doesn't sit right with me. It threw off my routine, and I was keen on starting my week with a solid workout and on the right track, but that wasn't doable 'cause I didn't have enough time to go to another location and still make it to work on time.
Jennifer Adams (5/6/25, 11:41 PM):
The gym itself is wonderful and the membership is worth it, however, I caution against signing up for personal training if you do not plan to use it. I informed them that I did not want to use the personal training but they charged me without my permission. The personal training department is often without a manager, and when they are present, they are usually inexperienced. When I tried to cancel in person, they claimed they would freeze my account instead, which I did not request. I am currently disputing these charges with the personal training department. While the gym and membership are excellent, I do not recommend the personal training due to their billing practices. I have not even used the trial sessions and they have already taken money from my account without authorization, which should not have happened.
Margaret Powell (5/6/25, 8:39 PM):
I've had a spot of bother with the billing at Crunch, old chap. They seem to be a bit befuddled by their own system. I jolly well cancelled my PT membership on June 15th, dash it all, but they're still debiting my bank account. Every time I pop in to sort this kerfuffle out at the gym, they've got a new PT manager, and none of them seem to be of much help. I say, I'm due to see a third new manager next Monday. Do steer clear of using auto payment with Crunch, chaps!
Laura Baker (5/6/25, 11:20 AM):
I purchased a membership for this gym about a year ago, even before it opened. Sadly, I didn't visit the gym even once until today. I paid monthly dues for a whole year until my card expired, and then they began sending me emails to collect the outstanding amount. Additionally, they wouldn't cancel my membership over the phone, and since I travel frequently, it was quite challenging to visit in person. They make the cancellation process quite difficult so that you're compelled to come in. Eventually, I managed to go in... and had to pay $135 just to cancel because I was late in the last four months due to my expired card. They only waived one late fee. Bearing in mind that my monthly fee was $19.99 and the late fee was $15 each time—almost the same amount! Their system really got me good. Remember, I never utilized their services or visited their location even once. I probably ended up donating around $300 to the Crunch brand unintentionally. They could have prevented this negative review by waiving a simple $30 late fee, and I would have still donated $270. I hope they reconsider their policy and are more accommodating to customers in the future.
P.S. I didn't cause any scenes when I visited. I simply expressed my disappointment that they couldn't waive the fees. I paid my bill and am relieved to finally be free from their system.
Deborah Myers (5/5/25, 12:16 PM):
I 'ave always been asked to sign the guest book on me previous visits. But, lo and behold, today an associate out of the blue asked for me driver's license, which I gladly handed over. After signing in, I was informed that I could collect it upon me departure. This flippin' inconsistent enforcement of policies, coupled with the associate's inability to provide a proper explanation, 'as reinforced why home workouts are me preferred choice.
Sarah Hamilton (5/4/25, 8:43 PM):
Emanuel is such a lovely chap, he really took the time to show us around the gym and introduce us to Coach D, who is just incredibly patient and encouraging! I have a good feeling that this is going to help us achieve our fitness goals. Cheers mate!
Ryan Baker (5/2/25, 4:57 PM):
Crunch Fitness-Acworth is overseen by Haiden, the manager. From the second I stepped into the gym, I felt warmly greeted. Haiden elaborated on every detail about Crunch and its services. I had made up my mind to sign up that day. However, if I had been undecided, Haiden would have convinced me to join without a doubt. She dedicated time to making sure my app was functioning properly and enrolled me in my first class. I strongly suggest giving Crunch an opportunity to collaborate with you on your fitness voyage! Cheers!
Bradley Torres (5/1/25, 12:20 PM):
Allow me to begin by expressing that a lot of the equipment is typically out of order. Furthermore, you have individuals recording themselves all around the gym, even with trainers assisting them in filming. What's going on here? This establishment is meant for individuals to come and exercise, not to record themselves for social media. Individuals are dedicating more time to sitting on equipment with their phones or recording videos than actually working out. Please, Crunch management, why aren't you addressing this issue? Not everyone has the luxury of spending two hours at the gym waiting for others to complete their recordings or phone browsing. Why are trainers aiding members in wasting time? If I do not observe a transformation, I will escalate this matter to the higher-ups, as the management at this location consistently behaves like teenagers at the front desk.
Nicholas Foster (5/1/25, 10:58 AM):
I've been visiting this gym for about 5 months already. Usually, my interactions with the front desk staff have been positive. However, on two occasions when the general manager, Shauna, was at the front, she came across as rude and condescending towards me. I can understand having a rough day, but both times I've talked to her, she has maintained a tone that implies she believes she is superior and more intelligent than me. Everyone else at the gym has been extremely friendly.
Arthur Morales (4/29/25, 7:00 PM):
I absolutely adore this place! The team here is simply magnificent, and my trainer Austin is an absolute gem! Always so supportive and motivating, he really pushes me out of my comfort zone. Each session is a learning experience, and I definitely feel the burn during and after! Their team has been my main source of motivation, helping me overcome insecurities and feel secure in such a vulnerable environment. Everyone has their own struggles and goals, but there's no judgment here. They've become more than just trainers to me, they're my friends now. I genuinely look forward to my workouts and sharing my progress with the team, who are always thrilled and proud of me, no matter the result! ♥️
