Crisp Overview of Crunch Fitness - Addison in Addison, Texas

Welcome to Crunch Fitness in Addison, Texas, a gym that prides itself on offering a variety of fitness options while ensuring accessibility for all members. With a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, Crunch Fitness aims to create an inclusive environment.

Membership Experience

At Crunch Fitness, a membership is required to access the facilities. Many patrons express their satisfaction with the low monthly fees, often noting that it provides much value for the price. However, opinions vary significantly regarding service quality and equipment maintenance.

Planning Your Visit

For those planning to visit, it's essential to consider peak hours, typically between 5 PM to 8 PM, when the gym can become quite crowded. Members have reported that during these times, weighted equipment can feel uncomfortably close together. To enhance your experience, consider scheduling workouts during less busy periods.

Maintenance and Equipment Quality

While some members initially enjoyed the gym, many comments highlight a decline in equipment maintenance. Issues like broken treadmills and machines lacking proper repair have been frequently mentioned. Several members have questioned management about unresolved maintenance issues, indicating a need for better communication regarding repairs and customer service strategies.

Customer Service Concerns

The feedback on customer service at Crunch Fitness - Addison has been mixed. While some staff members are praised for their friendliness and attentiveness, others have been described as unhelpful, especially regarding membership cancellations. Members have faced challenges in canceling their memberships, often feeling ignored or misinformed about policies—a factor worth considering before signing up.

Conclusion

In summary, Crunch Fitness - Addison offers a competitive environment for those seeking affordability in a gym setting. With wheelchair access and a mix of enthusiastic and occasionally indifferent staff, this gym can cater to a diverse clientele. However, prospective members should weigh the equipment maintenance issues and customer service challenges against the low membership costs. It remains a decent choice for those who can navigate these uncertainties while enjoying their fitness journey.

This establishment appears to resemble a high-end Planet Fitness and is making its way to Arlington, which is quite delightful. Nevertheless, upon perusing their overview map, I am unable to identify a plethora of exercise equipment or discern a compelling reason to become a member. The absence of free weights, limited to only Smith machines, and seemingly modest dumbbells do not particularly entice me. Therefore, I believe I shall opt out of joining this particular gym.

I began my personal training adventure in August last year with Jamaica, and let me tell you, she has completely transformed my life! She truly has a passion for her clients. Jamaica dedicates the effort to comprehend their starting point, their goals, and she takes a genuine interest in each and every one of her clients. At the beginning, I faced many challenges and would often feel disheartened, but Jamaica has guided me to surpass all obstacles. Thanks to her, I have not only become physically stronger but mentally as well. I wholeheartedly endorse her to anyone in search of a trainer and an outstanding gym!

The gym equipment was always well-maintained and my experiences there were positive. However, my circumstances changed during the COVID-19 pandemic as my partner, who works as a nurse with high-risk cancer patients, required me to stay home. Additionally, I had to relocate an hour away. When I tried to cancel my membership, the management made it unnecessarily difficult by requiring me to write a letter or visit in person, despite my situation. Even after I complied with their demands and wrote the letter, they continued to charge me as it seemed to have been misplaced. This led me to dispute the charges with my credit card company, resulting in being added to a spam call list by the gym. When I raised this issue with the general manager, I was simply told to write another letter.

I was a loyal member for 12 months even when unable to utilize the facilities due to COVID-19, but the lack of empathy and cooperation from the gym's management left a bitter taste in my mouth. Therefore, based on my experience, I cannot recommend joining this gym.

As a well-traveled individual, I must say the leadership team at Crunch Fitness truly stands out for their dedication to understanding and fulfilling your fitness lifestyle needs. I've had the incredible privilege of training with Coach Thayne both here and in Colorado. Together with Chad, they form a dynamic duo prioritizing safety and health above all else. Chad never fails to greet everyone warmly, and the friendly and engaging front desk staff follows suit. I highly recommend joining their strength and conditioning program - you'll witness exceptional results that surpass your usual workout routine. Crunch Fitness truly feels like a second home to me!
Sharon Brown (6/13/25, 5:09 PM):
The gym equipment is top-notch, and any issues are promptly addressed. The club owner, Chad, does a fantastic job of maintaining cleanliness, and if you steer clear of the 5-8 pm rush, you can enjoy a peaceful workout. There's a diverse mix of members, from casual gym-goers to hardcore lifters and cardio enthusiasts, so you're likely to feel comfortable no matter your training style.

Crunch is a gym that truly values its clients. With excellent workouts, knowledgeable trainers, and a friendly atmosphere, it's a great place to work out.

Absolutely brilliant gym! Top-notch selection of equipment and classes! The training program is simply outstanding, with coaches that are out of this world! Everyone is incredibly welcoming and there's a total absence of judgement. Couldn't wish for anything more in a gym! I absolutely adore working out here! The MyZone belt really helps you track your progress during workouts. I've already seen a massive difference! And let's not forget the warm welcome and continual encouragement you receive EVERY SINGLE DAY you step foot in the gym! I've received fantastic advice from everyone on nutrition, hydration, proper form, and so much more!
Emily Kelly (6/12/25, 7:14 PM):
My top gym of all time, I must say. The management and staff are simply splendid, always putting the clients first. I genuinely look forward to my workouts at Crunch Addison. I consider myself fortunate that my previous gym closed down, leading me back to Crunch Addison!
Alice Jones (6/11/25, 7:16 AM):
I absolutely adore this gym! The trainers are so kind, supportive, and motivating. I was a complete newbie to the gym scene when I first walked in, but now I'm part of a fantastic group of gals to chat with. I've never felt or looked better since joining this gym!
Sara Morris (6/10/25, 7:43 PM):
My hubby and I were both signed up at this gym. The gym has got all the essentials and a good mix of equipment to keep things interesting for the same muscle groups. Totally worth it for the HIIT sessions and the Zumba, yoga, and stair classes - fantastic prices too!
Emma Lopez (6/9/25, 5:13 AM):
This morning, I reached out regarding a few charges on my AMEX statement listed under ABC Financial. The individual I conversed with was not only knowledgeable and efficient but also very pleasant. They promptly addressed my inquiries, making the experience rather enjoyable. It was truly refreshing to engage with someone who not only had the answers but also possessed excellent customer service skills. All in all, no grievances to express here. The mention of ABC Financial always catches me off guard.

Great gym, I must say. Craig and his team definitely have the knack for running a top-notch gym. And would you believe it's quite affordable as well? For just an additional $9.00, you can enjoy unlimited tanning. Now, that's what I call a fantastic bargain.
Shirley Hill (6/6/25, 3:03 AM):
I've been a loyal member of this gym since its grand opening 2 years ago. The team is consistently welcoming, the locker rooms are spotless, and I've never had to queue for any cardio machines. The gym boasts an impressive selection of resistance machines, dumbbells, and barbells. In my opinion, it far surpasses both LA Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness.
Bruce Wright (6/2/25, 10:47 PM):
This Crunch gym is really trying to squeeze more money out of us. If you fork over the extra cash every month to bring a guest along for workouts, they won't let you bring one at this specific Crunch location. It's ridiculous to have to pay an additional $10 just to bring a friend. I checked their policy on their website and couldn't find any mention of only being allowed to bring a guest to your home gym. If Peak members keep putting up with this, they'll never change their ways. We should definitely bring this issue up with Crunch's corporate office.
Daisy Flores (5/29/25, 10:20 PM):
I've been a member at this Crunch for ova' a year now, and in the last few months, it seems like the management may 'ave changed because the maintenance 'as really gone downhill. The leg curl machine 'as been outta commission for over 3 months now. Now, even the leg extension machine is broken. 'Ere's like 10+ treadmills that are busted and unusable, some of the cable machines 'ave 'ad broken cables for months, and there's this flashy light in the studio that still ain't fixed. It's gettin' to the point where I can't do me full workout 'cause I 'ave to improvise due to all the broken equipment. The membership is affordable, yeah, but it's clear this is a management problem since it's only started becomin' an issue this year. I'm thinkin' about switchin' to a different gym, which is a shame 'cause I used to love Crunch, but me patience is wearin' thin with the poor management.

I also participate in the DivaDance classes that are 'eld in the studio at this Crunch, and it's been a constant struggle with the management and staff 'avin' no clue about DivaDance, the class schedules, etc... It's been a bit of a disappointment, even though we rent the studio from Crunch multiple times a week. At this point, it's lookin' like we might as well search for a new studio 'cause it's pretty clear we ain't valued or welcomed 'ere.
Margaret Brown (5/29/25, 10:15 AM):
My daughter and I arrived at the gym this afternoon with a printed 1 Day pass ready to work out. Upon reaching the front desk, the young lady informed us that my daughter could not use the 1 Day pass due to a past membership she had many years ago. I expressed my disappointment and explained that I would not proceed with using my pass unless my daughter could also utilize hers. Despite my attempts to negotiate, the young lady adamantly refused.

I suggested that I might consider purchasing a membership if we were allowed to try out the gym first, but she still rejected our request. It was clear to me that she lacked proper customer service skills as she missed an opportunity to potentially gain two new memberships. This incident highlights the importance of providing adequate training to staff on how to handle such situations. In some cases, flexibility with the rules can lead to securing a sale. If it were possible, I would give a rating of 0 stars based on this experience.
Judy Rodriguez (5/26/25, 8:35 PM):
This gym isn't following the mask rules at all. People are going in and out without masks on. Just a heads up if you go to this gym.
Juan Perry (5/25/25, 12:59 PM):
I absolutely adore the vibes at this gym, the staff is so friendly. However, recently a lot of the treadmills have been out of order and some of them are quite grubby. Overall though, it's a rather decent gym.
Daniel Myers (5/23/25, 5:19 AM):
Top-notch value, mate! My partner and I frequent this spot regularly, and let me tell you, the range of equipment, telly entertainment, and overall gym functionality is spot on. The only thing that could make it better would be a more seamless way to foster a sense of community here. Cheers!
Daniel Cox (5/21/25, 3:08 AM):
Aside from the lovely and thoughtful staff, this gym is an absolute disaster. There’s no waiting for machines because most are broken and barely functional. The atmosphere is dank and humid, with dirty floors and equipment that’s falling apart. Despite my daily workout routine, I was out of there in 15 minutes - I attempted cardio but every machine was either out of order or marked with red tape. I’d rather exercise in the parking lot than return to this place. For reference, I'm also a member at Crunch in Norman.
Timothy Williams (5/19/25, 11:53 PM):
I absolutely adore this gym! I'm quite particular about how a gym organizes its layout, and they excel at ensuring there's ample space between equipment, so everyone isn't crammed together while they exercise, haha. The facility is consistently spotless, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I wholeheartedly encourage individuals of varying fitness levels to make use of this gym :)
