Zachary Nguyen (6/15/25, 4:48 AM):
In a time like this, the common working person simply does not have the luxury to spend hours typing up a negative review about a gym, of all things. Yet, here I find myself on a Thursday night, August 17, 2017, compelled to share the truth about not only my own experience but also that of several friends at n'Shape in Antioch on Lone Tree Way. To begin with, last night, August 16, 2017, my car was broken into. A fellow member who happened to be arriving at the gym witnessed the incident and alerted me. According to him, a suspicious white BMW sedan sped through the parking lot before stopping between my friend's Mustang and my own car. Although they initially bypassed his vehicle, someone proceeded to smash my back driver's side window and made off with my wallet and phone, later using my card for gas purchases. Sadly, another nearby member also fell victim to a break-in. This recurrent problem at the Antioch n'Shape has created an unsafe environment for parking. In fact, I personally know four other members besides myself who have had their cars targeted. Even the receptionist admitted her own vehicle has been targeted thrice at this location. When I raised these concerns with the manager on August 17, 2017, around 12:30 pm, he acknowledged that his car had also been broken into. This ongoing issue, well-known to n'Shape, has been met with inadequate response on their part. There seems to be a dismissive attitude towards addressing the security issues faced by members, exemplified by the manager's remark that "This is just the time we live in." Despite voicing my distress and seeking assistance in reviewing surveillance footage, I encountered unprofessionalism and apathy from the manager. It is disheartening to note the lack of priority given to customer service and the apparent negligence in ensuring the safety and protection of members' property. The absence of adequate camera coverage in the parking lot, compounded by the lack of proactive measures such as hiring security personnel, reflects poorly on the management's commitment to member safety. Moreover, the evident absence of mature supervision during evening hours, with youths seemingly left in charge, highlights a glaring oversight in operational oversight. A gym requires responsible adult supervision round the clock to guarantee the well-being of its members and safeguard their belongings.

Top-notch trainer: Ben Falls is incredibly supportive and motivating.
Ava Morales (6/12/25, 3:03 PM):
Top-notch gym, much more well-equipped than the Brentwood branch. And they really keep it SPOTLESS. Quite impressive given how spacious it is and where it's situated.
Frank Cruz (6/12/25, 12:17 PM):
This situation is going downhill rapidly - the bathrooms are not cleaned and the pool area is filthy with a bad smell, although it's a great facility. We've lodged complaints and they keep saying they'll address it, but they never follow through.
Nicole Cooper (6/11/25, 3:04 PM):
A total swindle, mate. The gear is ancient, the place is falling apart, and when something breaks they either take ages to fix it or they just cart it away. The gym etiquette is a total disgrace. You've got a few blokes hogging the gear, doing super sets in three different rooms. When you try to hop on a machine, sometimes you run into people rudely shouting at you that they're still using it. A couple of times you've got lads leaving their stuff on a bench press claiming they're using it, but then they spend hours chatting with their mates without even touching the bench press, yet not letting anyone else use it. The bloke I spoke to, who said he was the manager, wouldn't even bother enforcing any etiquette rules. I canceled my membership not long ago only to be told I have to wait 30 days, and by the way, they're still charging me an annual fee even though I've already canceled. I paid upfront for my membership to keep the cost down. The monthly fee went from $20 to $26 and now to $40. Honestly, if you're here, you can't even use the one in Concord. Useless and a total scam. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere, mate.
Anthony Diaz (6/9/25, 6:36 PM):
This establishment is relatively new, boasting state-of-the-art equipment and a pristine environment. The staff are welcoming and amiable. However, the billing process for memberships could be improved upon in my opinion.
Andrea Torres (6/8/25, 6:17 PM):
This situation is not safe at all. I went to the sauna and someone pinched my rucksack with all my gear in it. I approached the front desk and they informed me that this had occurred for the second time this week. This is intolerable, as they admitted that a similar incident had transpired a few days prior and no action had been taken. I suggested they review the security footage, but they stated that they were unable to assist and simply advised me to complete a report as they were powerless to intervene.
Brenda Hughes (6/7/25, 1:53 PM):
One of the top-notch fitness establishments in the vicinity with an amazing team! The monthly fee is absolutely justified for the perks that accompany your membership.
Nathan Powell (6/5/25, 10:17 PM):
Gym is brilliant, even with all the construction going on! There's loads of space, so you hardly even see anyone despite the parking lot being packed.
Just bear in mind they're quite strict about scheduling your activities online. For instance, I like to swim, and have to book my lane in advance. If someone else has booked it, they can ask me to leave.
But overall, that's not a major issue considering everything else.
Joan Cook (6/3/25, 2:34 PM):
This Inshape facility boasts a wonderful layout to meet all your fitness requirements. Heading upstairs, you'll find a great variety of cardio machines. They even have an elevator to reach the second floor. Downstairs, you can find cable weights in the main area, a dedicated space for free weights, a kids club for your little ones, both an indoor and outdoor pool, a room known as 360 fit, and racquetball courts. The staff is consistently polite and ready to assist you promptly.
Kimberly Howard (5/30/25, 5:43 PM):
I used to drive 60 miles a week to Antioch Inshape... you train like an athlete there. Some new, but plenty outdated equipment... new staffing weekly... no one fully trained, A BIG TURN OVER IN EMPLOYEES... Morgan hired a few men that clearly bragged about being in prison... items stolen regularly from members... men's lockers broken into, cars stolen from the parking lot. Housekeeping is HORRIBLE, the lead does not work in the morning, just socializes or so-called trains females he picks up on... new janitor Mark is not a people person, lazy, hides, doesn't work either... management the worst. Cameras don't lie, but the clique (members) do and so does the inept general manager CAMERON... and he has staff to go along with this ongoing bull... Morgan gone, a plus... CAMERON needs to go and InShape needs to bring in a new person to bring the gym to a higher and better standard... at 4 am house staff leave doors unlocked and HOMELESS MEN ARE IN THE POOLS AND SAUNA... I HAVE PICS... no PROFESSIONALS SERVICE THE POOL. The lead's $10.71 an hour is a joke compared to the previous lead's pay...
Jonathan Graham (5/29/25, 4:14 PM):
I absolutely love hitting the gym at InShape. The place is spotless, the staff at the front desk are always so friendly, and I just adore my fellow gym buddies!
Nicholas Hall (5/28/25, 3:28 AM):
Friendly staff, a variety of classes...I even teach one! Join me on Fridays at 10:30!
Terry Morris (5/26/25, 5:12 PM):
7 weeks after me major surgery, a dip in the pool is just what the doctor ordered. The warm customer service, jolly staff, and I don't mind the idea of making a reservation. Delighted to be here! 😊
Bradley Sullivan (5/26/25, 6:33 AM):
Lovely and pristine vibe at this gym. I reckon I'll have to rope in the missus to join so we can snag a membership here.
Ethan Campbell (5/25/25, 10:23 AM):
This be me gym, it's one of the nearest in me area. Today I saw folks setting up proper cameras with tripods just to pretend, like literally pretend, taking energy powder for a photoshoot, to be working out at the gym, which they obviously weren't, not on me watch. The gym ain't yer personal photography studio, it should be banned and membership revoked.
Jean Perez (5/23/25, 12:04 AM):
Spotless establishment, plethora of options, amiable team. The lass who enrolled me was exceedingly pleasant and polished.
Janice Reed (5/22/25, 8:09 AM):
Fantastic classes! This establishment offers a wide range of activities. One thing that bothers me is the abundance of young employees who should be more diligent in keeping the pool, restrooms, and changing rooms clean, especially since they are often wet and pose a slipping hazard. I must say, there's quite a contrast between the respectful and mature morning and afternoon pool/gym crowds compared to the evening and late-night groups.
Peter Young (5/22/25, 12:48 AM):
Today was my FIRST DAY BACK on 10/1/20 and I absolutely adore😍👌🏽 the new updates. Most of the workout equipment is conveniently located around the pool, and there weren't many people there at the time so I suggest GOING EARLY!!!!😅💦...
Jessica Gomez (5/21/25, 9:17 PM):
I tend to hit the gym bright and early in the morning, and I must say, the staff is incredibly welcoming and seems genuinely enthusiastic about their work. The equipment is well-maintained, and the overall cleanliness of the gym is top-notch. Cheers to a pleasant workout experience!
