Fabulous gym, operated by the Marine Corps. A military ID is required for access. Offers free weights, machines, functional fitness, and more.
Gregory White (5/1/25, 1:02 PM):
Decent selection of gear, but the hours are quite dreadful.
Jordan Torres (4/30/25, 11:14 AM):
Fabulous equipment. It would be splendid if they were to consider opening the door from the HIIT room to the main gym area. Cheers!
Daniel Cook (4/25/25, 4:38 PM):
Lovely gym. Just try not to bother the staff with anything that distracts them from web surfing, yeah? Blimey, what dreadful attitudes.
Bradley Sanchez (4/24/25, 5:28 PM):
Fantastic spot for a fitness session!
Matthew Hughes (4/23/25, 12:30 AM):
One of my favorite gyms due to the presence of the basketball court.
Austin Kim (4/20/25, 9:01 PM):
This gym is absolutely brilliant. They've got loads of brand new equipment, basketball and racquetball courts, a top-notch HIIT facility, and saunas. It's a fantastic spot for a workout!
Amy Nelson (4/20/25, 7:28 PM):
A very roomy layout with brand spanking new equipment. It can get a bit packed, but if you're patient, you'll manage to get through your workout routine. The place is consistently spotless and the staff are decent. If you can swing it, I suggest swinging by this spot for a workout. They've got a couple of vending machines and a micro mart (an express mini self-checkout). Plus, there's a spacious gym for other activities like basketball and a crossfit room.
Steven Henderson (4/19/25, 10:06 PM):
This military gym is by far one of the best I've visited during my 19-year career. The staff is always friendly, respectful, and helpful, especially to newcomers to the gym scene. When it comes to weightlifting, it easily outshines the gym at Ft Myer. They have a great selection of dumbbells, plenty of barbell racks, and the weight room is well-lit, clean, and most people are good about putting their weights back. My only complaints are about the cardio room and the men's locker room. The cardio room is dreary, lacking windows, and feels a bit cramped. During winter, it gets too warm due to poor ventilation, despite the big fans running at full blast. The men's locker room also lacks proper airflow and can feel stuffy, especially in the summer.
Evelyn Peterson (4/19/25, 1:19 PM):
So pristine!!! The staff are ever so pleasant! I award meself 5 ⭐ because I was the one who smashed the workout! ...
Dennis Parker (4/16/25, 2:06 PM):
This gym is absolutely top-notch!
Justin Hernandez (4/13/25, 12:06 PM):
I absolutely adore this gym! It's never too crowded, always spotless, and the restroom is consistently clean. The staff members are incredibly kind and ever so helpful.
Samantha Reynolds (4/10/25, 6:04 AM):
This gym is top-notch, mate! Been to plenty on Marine corps bases, but this one takes the cake. Impeccably clean and equipped with everything a proper athlete could need. Cheers!
Jesse Cooper (4/10/25, 5:48 AM):
The Smith gym at Henderson Hall is a top-notch facility when it comes to the workout equipment it offers. It boasts one of the finest weight rooms among all military gyms in the region. However, the main drawback of the gym lies in its air conditioning system, especially in the locker room sections. The system seems undersized for the size of the facility, leading to inconsistent temperatures across different rooms. Some areas are comfortable, while others tend to be too warm. The installation of supplementary air conditioning in the treadmill/stationary bike room has somewhat addressed this issue in that specific area.
Nicholas Phillips (4/8/25, 7:33 PM):
Superb gym, I simply didn't fancy departing.
Brittany Rivera (4/8/25, 12:03 AM):
This gym is like Valhalla! The equipment and facilities are top-notch, and the gym members are truly committed to their fitness goals.
Jason Campbell (4/5/25, 3:44 PM):
Well, this gym is top-notch for keeping fit and staying healthy.
Austin Evans (4/4/25, 2:22 PM):
A tidy and well-maintained gym
Thomas Cox (4/1/25, 6:03 AM):
Great gym, but they have a strict no hats policy. Quite an odd rule, don't you think?
Patrick Morales (4/1/25, 4:34 AM):
Terrible hours, I simply can't make it to the gym in time after work.
