The gym itself is top-notch, but their registration procedures are a bit questionable, which isn't a good sign, even if the product is great. I've been a member of many gyms, so I've experienced a variety of sales tactics. However, this bloke didn't even allow me to test out the gym before pushing me to commit to a contract. I had to inquire about using my guest pass to try out the facilities, and only then did he reluctantly give in and let me upstairs.
After my workout, I explained to the same individual that my wife and I had just welcomed a new baby and needed some time to decide if we were ready to join together. He insisted that I sign up immediately or face consequences. When I asked about potential New Year's promotions, he brushed me off. It appears to be a quota system in place. He completely ignored me once I voiced my concerns and swiftly moved on to the next potential member standing behind me. Not even a simple "goodbye." Quite shady behavior for an otherwise reputable gym.

Lovely establishment, top-notch trainers, and vibrant clientele. The team is super welcoming. They've got a fantastic dry sauna. The outdoor turf area is brilliant. Plus, the covered parking is convenient, close by, and complimentary for up to 2.5 hours with validation. Can't recommend it enough!
Amelia Robinson (6/12/25, 8:56 PM):
I just had to pop in and give a massive shoutout to this gym! It's beyond spotless and the atmosphere couldn't be friendlier. The staff are just so warm and welcoming, you feel right at home the moment you step inside. Special thanks to Adam, the fantastic manager who sorted out my membership and answered all my queries. If you're thinking of joining, I can't recommend enough chatting with him and getting signed up today!
Angela Harris (6/10/25, 7:52 AM):
I am absolutely delighted with this gym! The staff here are always so helpful and friendly. You can really tell that they genuinely care about the members - from the moment I walked in, they greeted me by name and took the time to listen to my membership needs instead of just rushing through like another number.
The gym itself is incredibly clean with plenty of natural light, which really enhances the workout experience. Situated in the bustling Pike & Rose area, the club offers free garage parking for up to 2.5 hours and is conveniently located within walking distance from the Metro. The trainers here are experienced and knowledgeable (shoutout to Zac, Frances, Lahni, Dale, and Fatima) and there is an impressive variety of group fitness classes available, including yoga and Pilates. Being a 5-year-old club, all the equipment is top-notch. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience here.
Michelle Cook (6/10/25, 4:43 AM):
This gym is absolutely top-notch. The atmosphere is so inviting, the cleanliness is unmatched, and the equipment is cutting-edge. Every time I'm in Maryland, you can bet I'll be here getting my workout in. I only wish something like this existed back home for me to frequent!
Juan Scott (6/9/25, 1:41 PM):
I must say, I have been thoroughly impressed with this gym. It is impeccably clean, the staff are so welcoming, and there is an abundance of equipment available. The gym is incredibly spacious and has a very modern feel to it. I have also had the pleasure of attending some of their yoga classes, which I found to be excellent. As someone who has been practicing yoga for over a decade, I can attest to the quality of instruction. Additionally, I appreciate the strict adherence to mask-wearing protocols at the moment. Very important in these times.
Alice Reyes (6/9/25, 3:17 AM):
This gym is my go-to spot every day. They have separate floors for cardio and strength training, with all the equipment and weights you could ask for. There's plenty of space to move around and the atmosphere is great. The trainers and classes are top-notch and some people really seem to enjoy them. As for me, I just plug in my headphones and focus on getting those reps in.
Charles Ramos (6/9/25, 3:06 AM):
I recently joined this gym 3 days ago. I'm based in Georgia but currently on a work trip in Washington. The gym is just a 4-minute walk from where I'm staying, so I was excited to work out here. However, I encountered an issue where I was informed that I would need to pay an extra $11 to access the facilities at this location or upgrade my membership. In my hometown, I wouldn't require such upgrades and was under the impression that I could work out at any of their gyms as a new member. This experience left me feeling disappointed as I felt restricted from utilizing the service I had just signed up for. It would be beneficial for the gym to implement a strategy that allows members a certain number of visits to special locations each year, as paying for an upgrade for a temporary location doesn't seem reasonable.
Samantha Jenkins (6/6/25, 5:11 PM):
You'd be better off checking out another gym location. This place has too many silly rules, such as no clothes in the sauna and requiring shoes during squats (some prefer barefoot for better form). The trainers are also quite rude and haughty. One time I forgot my headphones and was playing music quietly on my phone when one of them approached me and said, "Remember your headphones next time." I've switched to a different location now, where the atmosphere is more relaxed and there's more room to move around.
Helen Rogers (6/5/25, 11:54 PM):
As an SEO specialist, I can certainly help you rephrase that comment with a touch of English flair:
"Dear sirs or madams, it is with great dismay that I must report my unfortunate experience with the aforementioned establishment. Their sales tactics can only be described as predatory, as I was led to believe that I could terminate my contract within the first three visits should I find the gym unsuitable. Alas, upon attempting to exercise this right, I was met with disavowals and denials of ever having made such an offer. It appears that this gym's primary concern lies not in delivering quality service, but rather in ensnaring unwitting customers in binding agreements. One can only hope that others may be spared the same fate."

RE: OUTSTANDING WORK AT PIKE AND ROSE SPORT AND HEALTH!!
2/10/2022
Hello there,
My wife and I have been proud members of The Sport and Health Club for quite a few years now. The resilience of your establishment during these challenging times does not come as a surprise to me. Team members like Jay, Carolyn, Adam, Nina, Rich, Abby, and others serve as solid proof that your organization truly deserves to thrive.
Upon our arrival at Pike and Rose, we are always met with dedicated employees who provide us with a warm and informative experience. We are truly grateful to all of you for creating one of the most delightful experiences we've had the pleasure of enjoying in the D.C. area!
Many thanks to each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication!!
Warm regards,
Paul and Diane Seery

I've been going to Sport&Health at Pike and Rose since they reopened on June 20th. The team here has really knocked it out of the park in terms of cleanliness and member safety. It's clear they genuinely care about our well-being and I feel comfortable during my workouts. It's fantastic to be back at the gym and I'm grateful to Sport&Health for all their efforts in making it happen.
Leonard Foster (6/2/25, 5:08 PM):
Great gym, the staff are really friendly and create a positive workout atmosphere! The range of classes is fantastic! I always enjoy the spinning classes as they make cardio fun! A big shoutout to Sport & Health Trainer Mana for the challenging yet manageable full body workouts. She's professional, charismatic, kind, knowledgeable, and great at keeping me motivated to keep coming back every day.
Grace Williams (6/2/25, 3:10 PM):
Fantastic gym. This establishment boasts a wide array of equipment and machinery essential for an exceptional workout. The staff and fellow patrons exude friendliness, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Janet Lewis (6/1/25, 7:34 PM):
This gym is quite impressive, with friendly staff and some truly outstanding members. However, there are a few individuals exhibiting questionable behavior. Some guys seem to have a habit of staring or shadowing the ladies around the place. It's rather annoying when people interrupt your workout to ask when you'll be finishing, and then just stand there staring at you. The squat racks are often hogged by folks who linger for an hour, ignoring the time limit sign. Sometimes, someone would even sprint and swipe the rack from you as you approach – talk about sneaky! On top of that, people don't bother to re-rack their weights or leave towels draped on machines they're not even using. Can't really blame the gym for this, it's more about the fellow members who are spoiling the vibe.
I'd rate the gym 8/10 for its facilities, but only 3/10 for the ambiance. Personally, once my contract ends, I'll be switching my membership elsewhere due to these issues. It's fine if you're after a quick in-and-out workout, but if you prefer a more spacious and congenial environment, I'd suggest checking out a dedicated powerlifting or private gym instead.
Susan Jenkins (6/1/25, 3:12 AM):
This gym is absolutely brilliant, a top-notch fitness centre with highly skilled coaches. Huge shoutout to my personal trainer Mana! In just 4 months, I've seen incredible progress and have gotten so much stronger. Mana is extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and always pushes me to do my best.
Margaret Sanchez (5/29/25, 1:04 AM):
A fantastic gym! Immaculate. State-of-the-art equipment. Welcoming staff. A wide variety of flexible workout classes. I would definitely recommend it!
Aaron Robinson (5/28/25, 6:20 PM):
I recently joined Onelife Fitness after coming across an enticing email ad offering a complimentary membership. The signup procedure was quick, clocking in at just 5 minutes, with the word "Free" prominently featured in the promotion (quite convenient, if I may say so!). Surprisingly, there was no mention, suggestion, or obligation to go over the terms of service, including the cancellation policy, with a team member or sales expert. I was under the impression that signing up would be at no cost. However, caught off guard by the fine print, I am now faced with a buyout fee to terminate my membership. This incident marks the end of my dealings with Onelife Fitness and serves as a valuable lesson to be more cautious in the future. I wholeheartedly advise reconsidering your business tactics and refraining from exploiting individuals, as this could lead to a loss of more customers in the near future.
Please take note: This evaluation comes after numerous phone calls and interactions with member services. Regrettably, the response I received was, and I quote, "I suppose this is the world we live in."
Sophia Sanchez (5/27/25, 12:48 PM):
This gym is top-notch in the region. The premises are immaculate, the gear is kept in tip-top shape, and the staff is welcoming and supportive. I would urge anyone to give it a go!
Jack Thompson (5/26/25, 9:58 PM):
So I went to this gym in Rockville and let me tell you, the customer service there is terrible. It's like dealing with zombies who just stare at you without a hint of a smile. But then I discovered Pike and Rose, and there's this Asian guy there who is always welcoming and smiling. He even offers me a towel every time I'm there. However, the daycare hours are so inconvenient and ridiculous, it kind of defeats the purpose of going to classes when they're closing up. It's pretty dumb if you ask me!
