Listen up... you won't believe this new development – you can now TERMINATE your membership online, BUT only if it's a FRESH membership. As I've been a member for over 5 years, I don't qualify for this option. The head honcho at this establishment is insisting on a physical letter WITH my John Hancock on it. The email I previously sent just won't cut it. I'm frequently traveling for work and only make it back to Boise 3-4 times a year. It's beyond aggravating! WHO still sends letters via snail mail these days? Sort it out PF! Looks like the only way to cancel now is to go out and purchase a BOX of envelopes (because who has just one envelope lying around)... I suppose that's the "gratitude" I receive for being a member for AGES. I'm stuck with the OLD-SCHOOL method of cancellation.

My beau and I popped into the gym this Saturday for a workout... I was buzzing to give Planet Fitness a go with his guest pass and was contemplating signing up for a membership myself. We were disappointed to find the gym closing at 7pm as we arrived at 6:30pm, but we shrugged it off because we understood that the lady on duty (Melissa) didn't set the rules. We were simply glad to squeeze in a quick session and for me to scope out the place.
First and foremost, we are well aware of the service industry and didn't want to keep her past her shift, so we kept an eye on the time. Suddenly, at 6:55, Melissa switched off all the lights, plunging me into darkness while I was mid-lift. Not only is that a dangerous move to pull on someone mid-workout with weights, but it was also just plain rude when we still had 5 minutes left for another set. So, we began heading towards our lockers to pack up. While I was washing my hands in the restroom, she started flickering the lights, prompting me to dash out and put on my shoes by the exit instead. We exited by 7:01, and she acted as though we were being dreadfully disrespectful for keeping her one minute after closing. If she hadn't been so insistent on rushing us and shouting for us to speed up, we probably would have been out on the dot at 7 pm.
I've held many jobs in the service industry, and I would never have treated a customer like that for making me stay ONE minute past closing. I can understand being irked by a 15-minute delay, but even that wouldn't excuse her conduct towards us.
My boyfriend will be canceling his black card membership, and we will be seeking out a new spot to work out.
Betty Morales (6/12/25, 12:37 PM):
The lass at the counter had me waiting for a good 20 minutes just to get a tan, and when I finally stepped into the booth, she never started it. So there I was, standing around for another ten minutes waiting. I tried to flag her down a couple of times and let her know it wasn't working, but she just ignored me. Finally, I got fed up, put my clothes back on, and decided to head to another spot. When I pointed out the issue to her, she had the nerve to say, "oh, I just started it." And then had the cheek to give me attitude when I asked her to cancel it. I won't be wasting my time at that place again. Spending so much time on something simple, only to be met with attitude from the employee when I tried to address it, is just not worth it.
Rose Ross (6/12/25, 12:16 PM):
This gym is a jolly good place to pop in, break a sweat, and then crack on with your day. I've been frequenting this spot several times a week for the last 4 months, and I've never laid eyes on either the workout areas or the ladies' loo being in a mucky state. Oftentimes, I spot the staff bustling about, tidying things up and giving a bit of a dusting here and there. I reckon the only drawbacks to this gym are its location and the peak hours. They've managed to squeeze in a fair few contraptions into a snug space without it feeling too cram-packed, but when it gets bustling, I find meself having to cut me workout short because the free weights or squat racks are occupied, and I ain't keen on waiting around. All in all, I reckon this is a top-notch gym and a decent deal for the dosh.
Lauren Davis (6/10/25, 4:43 AM):
They keep the gym spick and span, and it's a splendid gym to kick off your fitness journey. It's also a splendid spot to steer clear of any judgment, just as their tagline promises. I would suggest opting for Axiom over Planet Fitness due to its wide array of amenities such as a pool, sauna, steam room, trainers, equipment, basketball gym, and so forth. Remember, your fitness voyage is unique to you, but make sure to sample the free trials at various gyms before committing to anything! (◕ᴗ◕✿)
Ethan Rodriguez (6/9/25, 2:51 AM):
The employees 'round 'ere were extremely helpful, mate! Much to me dismay, I 'ad to cancel me membership as I was movin' countries. The process to cancel took under a minute and the lass at the counter was very knowledgeable. I 'ave nothin' but good things to say about Planet Fitness!
Jerry Sanchez (6/8/25, 10:53 PM):
Lovely club, but quite frustrating that one must physically visit the club to cancel membership. It seems rather unnecessary, doesn't it? The only plausible reason for this inconvenience would be to extract more funds from those with hectic schedules or prone to forgetfulness. If we can easily join online without any in-person signatures, then surely we should be able to terminate our membership online as well.
Lawrence Sanchez (6/8/25, 9:13 AM):
Amazing experience at this gym with so many great aspects. Always spotless and tidy. The restrooms and showers are pristine. All the equipment and machines are brand-new and top-notch. The staff gives warm greetings and much-needed encouragement.
"Hello? Or welcome in,"
are not the norm.
It's more personal and really engaging with eye contact and smiles.
T.J and Parker welcome me with
"Good morning Keegan, we're happy you made it today."
One day when I was clearly struggling, T.J. looked at me and said, "Sometimes the hardest part is walking in the door."
That kind of thing is pure motivation.
A fantastic place to make part of my daily routine. Bravo team PF!
I can't speak highly enough about Keith, he is a true ambassador. I bumped into him on the street and he remembered my name; we talked about life and health. He is a gem. Thanks again Keith for being authentic.

Amber Reyes (6/7/25, 7:58 PM):
Lovely little gym, never too crowded when I pop in. I frequent the Orchard location, been going for a few years now. The staff is ever so friendly and the place is spick and span. I do rather fancy the complimentary tanning, the ability to bring a guest along, and the 24-hour access during the week. Gave Axiom a whirl last month, it was decent but dreadfully bustling. Personally, I much prefer PF, and I've even made a few chums there as well. Cheers!
Brenda Lopez (6/6/25, 10:54 PM):
I absolutely adore my Planet Fitness! With my black card membership, I receive a plethora of benefits. I always bring a workout buddy along with me every time!
Ryan Garcia (6/5/25, 5:10 AM):
To terminate your membership, you must appear in person or dispatch a handwritten missive. Quite bothersome for someone abroad, innit? The app swiftly gobbles up yer payment deets, but no option to call it quits? In this day and age, I say, what a swindle! 🤷♂️ …
James Cruz (6/4/25, 2:04 PM):
No one says hi, welcome in, or bye have a good day. They're weird and just pretend like you're not there. The managers constantly talk with the girls behind the desk and don't bother to greet the guests. It's heartbreaking, the gym is supposed to be a positive and friendly environment. Milwaukee and Fairview make this one look really bad.
Victoria Ortiz (6/2/25, 9:03 AM):
Truly a sanctuary without prejudice. I have a TBI (traumatic brain injury), sensitivity to light and sound, and limited mobility. I depend on my XXXL service dog for Mobility. The team and fellow members are EXCEPTIONAL! No one treats me differently, no one is impolite about Cujo (service dog), or attempts to pet him, everyone acknowledges him as if he isn't even present. They handle it all casually, neither making a fuss over it positively or negatively. We've been coming for a few months (I can't recall how long) and I absolutely adore the atmosphere, the equipment, and of course the staff, they are phenomenal. Highly recommended.
Henry Garcia (6/2/25, 4:53 AM):
The most dreadful Planet Fitness I have visited, it certainly ain't the employees' fault. That place was a mirror of the folks in Boise 🤮🤢🤢 toilets not flushed, paper towels on the floor, shower trash on the floors. They did have hot water though, I saw a review that said they didn’t.
Pamela Reyes (6/1/25, 7:12 PM):
I can say this is a lovely little gym. Well-maintained and most folks keep to themselves. The only downside is that it gets quite stuffy on the treadmill because there isn't enough ventilation in that section. Sadly, I may have to make the trip to Overland as the weather warms up. I tend to overheat easily. Do you have any solutions at PF?
Bryan James (5/29/25, 8:11 PM):
The loo was proper vile, with rubbish all over the shop and freezing cold water. The pong wasn't exactly top-notch either. Skedaddled sharpish, I did. Much rather pop round to the other joint up the road.
Emma Gutierrez (5/27/25, 4:10 PM):
Seldom does anyone greet you or bid farewell with a pleasant wish for the day. The gentleman with the beard and the mature lady appear to be more focused on flirting with each other and do not make an effort to acknowledge visitors. This behavior really tarnishes the establishment's image.
Benjamin Parker (5/27/25, 12:31 AM):
I visited this gym for a couple of years and absolutely adored it. The massage chairs were fantastic for post-workout recovery. The cleanliness of the facilities was always impeccable, and the staff were very attentive. A fabulous choice for those starting out at the gym.
Roger Sanders (5/26/25, 3:22 AM):
So my nephew, who is only 15 years old, went to this Planet Fitness to get his workout on, you know? And then this bloke who's like 30 years old comes up and starts giving him and his mate a hard time in the gym, which isn't right by any means and is just downright awful behavior. And get this, this same bloke then carries on bothering them by taking photos of my nephew and his mate. I don't know what this chap plans to do with those snaps, but it ain't okay. When we raised this awful behavior with the management there, they basically said this guy has caused trouble before and he's now on his third warning. But for some reason, he's still allowed to come into the place and target more young lads. I get that it's a "judgment-free zone," but this is just plain ridiculous. I suppose you can be a bully at Planet Fitness and get away with it scot-free. No Lunk alarm for that one, eh?
Maria Stewart (5/24/25, 7:53 PM):
I'm just a simple bloke. I quite fancy this no-frills gym. The managers and staff are all ever so pleasant.
