Victoria Richardson (6/12/25, 5:47 PM):
I joined Fitness 4 Less about a month back. Ms. Marie has been incredibly supportive and made the registration process a breeze. The equipment is top-notch, with a wide range of machines for novices and free weights for those more experienced lifters. They've got everything from battle ropes to a small indoor track, fitness classes, heavy bags, and more.

I first joined F4L in Clinton, MD on 03/18/2010. Later, I upgraded my membership and moved to the F4L location in Bowie, MD on 11/01/2013. Let me tell you, the Functional Group Training program here in Bowie is absolutely insane, in the best possible way. I really appreciate the high energy of the trainers (Torry, Dion, Mitch, Maria, Missy, CoCo, etc). I wouldn't say I love working out, but the staff really helps make it enjoyable. The front desk staff, like Kody and Stephanie, always greet me with such great energy in the morning and evening. The showers here are spotless (I actually prefer them over the ones in the Clinton location). Overall, the F4L Bowie, MD gym is amazing! The staff and managers are fantastic, and the facility is always clean. I truly hope that they keep up the great work and continue to grow over time.
Can't wait to see you all soon!

I recently joined this gym after my previous childcare facility closed down. I must say, I have been thoroughly impressed with the value for money and the welcoming atmosphere here. While the amenities may not be the most luxurious, they do offer childcare during busy hours, private shower facilities, and a variety of group classes. Personally, I really like the compact indoor track, the spacious pull-up rig, the functional fitness room, and the range of weights available. Overall, a solid five-star experience in my book.
Paul Coleman (6/4/25, 5:55 PM):
Regrettably, I must dock the number of stars for this gym. It's decent enough, but not what one might call lavish. My main grievance arose when attempting to terminate my membership after a year. The frustration came from enduring a two-hour hold to get in touch with the cancellation service provider. Not to mention the additional monthly fee and the need to justify my departure. Regrettably, recommending this gym is not within my capacity. Thankfully, I have bid farewell to that place.
I signed up at the gym following my trainer's recommendation, who works with clients there. And I must say, I am pleased. It may not be posh or upscale, but it meets the majority of people's requirements. The staff is friendly and takes the time to build relationships with clients. Both the trainers and fellow gym-goers are amiable, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Angela Gray (6/3/25, 9:08 AM):
The class was fully booked, but there were still a few spots available. The gym was spotless, and the staff were courteous.
Tyler Reed (6/1/25, 1:47 PM):
The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I'm not from around here, but I got a two-week membership and really enjoyed my workouts at the gym.
Martha Bailey (5/31/25, 7:24 PM):
This gym is absolutely smashing for getting that proper grind in!!!! Trainers like SP8FITNESS take it to the next level.
David Gomez (5/30/25, 7:49 PM):
This bloomin' gym, even in the midst of this pandemic malarkey, keeps takin' me shillings for membership despite me giving them a bell to cancel. And now when you ring 'em up, you're chattin' with the billing lot, who then point you to some blasted 1-800 number. I've essentially forked over 7-8 months worth of fees without gettin' any use out of it. It's a right unprofessional show they're puttin' on!
Russell Robinson (5/29/25, 10:24 PM):
The vibe here is amazing, super relaxed. It's all about hitting the gym and getting your workout done, no weirdos or flashy people around.
Michelle Thomas (5/28/25, 9:23 PM):
I've been attending this gym for 6 years now and I absolutely adore it. The owner, Marie, takes the time to get to know each of us and ensures that we're all enjoying our time here. They frequently upgrade their equipment and offer fantastic classes suitable for all skill levels.
Denise Simmons (5/20/25, 10:32 AM):
This gym is dreadful, closes early, too cramped, and the payment system is absolutely atrocious. Once you've enlisted, heaven help you if you try to cancel your membership. It's fees upon fees, and the staff at the gym are utterly useless. It's just plain daft.
Leonard Harris (5/19/25, 5:39 AM):
This gym is absolutely fantastic! It's got all the necessary equipment for squats, deadlifts, dips, pullups, heavy dumbbells, and gymnastics rings. There are also plenty of other tools that I might make use of in the future. What I appreciate most is how well it caters to individuals at every fitness level, from beginners to advanced athletes. It's always motivating to see impressive female athletes training there, which sets a great example for my daughter who I often bring along. While some of the guys are incredibly buff, I haven't witnessed any of them behaving rudely, which can sometimes be an issue elsewhere.
A few negative reviews mention the amenities like bathrooms and lockers needing improvement, and I have to agree that they could use a little sprucing up. However, the gym itself and the people who frequent it are truly outstanding. My daughter and I have been going there for around nine months since we relocated to this area, and we both absolutely adore it!
Allison Jones (5/16/25, 8:44 PM):
It was brilliant...there weren't many folks around when I popped in...
Carol Jones (5/16/25, 12:55 PM):
Cheers mate 🏋️♂️, much appreciated!
Olivia Watson (5/16/25, 2:55 AM):
A budget-friendly gym, and it certainly shows. Membership fees start at $9.99 per month. Regrettably, when equipment malfunctions, repairs are rarely carried out. The facility is in a rather dilapidated condition. Malfunctioning toilets in the gentlemen's restroom, leaking ceilings, and an overall lack of cleanliness.
Charlotte White (5/13/25, 11:38 PM):
I absolutely adore this gym! The staff are incredibly friendly and always willing to assist. It's a no-frills establishment (and I do mean no frills). No fancy towel service, no pool or jacuzzi. There is a room for childcare, but it's only open during peak hours. The cleanliness is decent, though not spotless, and it can get a bit untidy at times.
The atmosphere is very welcoming and focused on working out. There are plenty of cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, and dumbbells. They have one squat rack and one power rack. It seems like there isn't a strict policy for reracking weights, so the weight area floor can occasionally get cluttered with weights, which strikes me as a tad risky.
I've only had one question about my membership payment so far. Initially, the staff member didn't have an immediate answer, but they had the information ready for me the next time I visited.
Overall, this is my preferred gym out of the few I've tried in the area. As a beginner weightlifter, the staff and fellow members have been supportive, helpful, and eager to guide me on my lifting journey. Fantastic attitudes all around! A top-notch gym!
