It's quite a shame that I find myself in the position of having to leave such a review, but the new management at this gym is truly abysmal... It's unprofessional, immature, and just plain awful. I've been a member at this gym since January 2022 and tried to cancel my personal training membership since June 22nd, 2024. The only reason for my cancellation is that I no longer reside in California. I had a fantastic experience being trained by Chris Ngoon! He's incredibly knowledgeable, pushed me to my limits, and was an overall amazing trainer.
Now, onto the review... I was informed by James that there was a 30-day waiting period before my cancellation would be official. We agreed on this, meaning I would be charged until July 24th. However, I have been overcharged by $100+ after July 24th (and even into August). Moreover, throughout the 30-day period, I received no documentation or email confirming my cancellation. When I brought this up to James, he casually stated, "I am not obligated to provide you with documentation!" This is completely incorrect. Documentation should always be provided, especially in a large company like Crunch Fitness. There was absolutely no evidence of my cancellation anywhere, despite our repeated inquiries.
When we attempted to escalate the issue to James's manager, Josh, he simply redirected us back to James. James, in turn, sent us back to Josh. It felt like a never-ending game of ping pong due to their incompetence. When we asked to speak to upper management, James claimed, “I don’t know who Josh’s boss is.” How can you not know your superior? He then added, “I am not obligated to provide you with their information.” This lack of accountability and professionalism was truly frustrating.
We've visited the gym in person and made numerous phone calls, all in an effort to cancel and receive a refund for the overcharged fees. This entire ordeal could have been resolved much more smoothly without the unprofessionalism, immaturity, and inconvenience caused by James and Josh.

I must say, I frequent Crunch mainly for the exhilarating Zumba sessions, and let me tell you, the instructors are top-notch. Maricela, in particular, is simply phenomenal! If you're seeking a vigorous workout intertwined with enjoyment, her class is the ultimate go-to spot. As a devoted member for quite some time, my only wish is that I could bring along not one but two companions. Currently, I'm also a member at Planet Fitness, where I pay a lower fee and can bring two guests. Regardless, Maricela's Zumba class reigns supreme!

CAUTION ADVISED! These individuals cannot be trusted! They will continue to bill you long after you have terminated your membership! I arrived in town for a brief one-month stay in April 2023 and was informed that I could join for only one month, with the assurance that I wouldn't be charged beyond that as long as I canceled before the following month. Despite following these instructions and canceling, I was still billed. Upon contacting them, I was instructed to email the manager to request cancellation, which I did, but received no response. Subsequently, I learned that the manager had been dismissed for misappropriating funds. After multiple calls, a staff member assured me my membership would be terminated, but I was charged again shortly after. Upon calling once more, I spoke with manager Shawn who promised to cancel my account and issue a refund. However, I found myself charged again just two days later. It is now October 2023, and this gym has unlawfully taken close to $200 from me.

It would be splendid if there were physical signage indicating the locations of classes within the gym. Not everyone will check online for class schedules. I only found out about the online schedule when someone mentioned it to me. I'm a simple gym enthusiast who loves lifting weights and practicing Muay Thai. Spending 45 minutes, an hour, or more hitting the heavy Thai bags is my idea of a good time. Being directed to another room with a heavy Thai bag is no solution. Imagine if I go to that room and suddenly there's a class in session; I'd get kicked out by the instructor. That wouldn't resolve anything. A tangible schedule posted somewhere would be helpful so I can plan accordingly and avoid conflicting with class times. Some might suggest looking up the schedule online, but how am I supposed to know that right off the bat? If they can remind us to wear masks and maintain social distance with signs, they can surely display class schedules as well. I'll update my feedback once I see these changes implemented. Much appreciated.

Beware of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Sean Laymin is quite unprofessional. Upon starting a 30-day trial, I was assured that if I canceled before the billing cycle began, I'd only be charged the $1 fee. Sean Laymin even reiterated this point several times, assuring me that I would only need to pay $1 in total if I canceled on time since money was a major concern for me. When I tried to cancel my membership today, Sean informed me that I had to cover the first bill as well. After I explained that he never disclosed this information, he displayed unprofessional behavior and seemed unsure of the company's policies. He also denied my request to speak with his supervisor. It felt like a scam since he failed to disclose crucial details. I've also heard from others who faced challenges canceling their memberships, leading me to believe that Crunch Fitness engages in false advertising by withholding contract information and refusing to provide access to it.

Absolutely love this gym and the classes offered by certified professionals - they have yoga, boot camp, spin/cycle, kickboxing, Zumba, HIIT, and so much more! This gym was absolutely dreadful. I enrolled and it seemed like nearly every machine I aimed to use was out of order most of the time. The restroom was a mess, teeming with individuals, mostly youngsters emitting negative vibes. The parking area was a nightmare. Regrettably, I was denied a reimbursement as I missed the deadline by just a day. I've patronized 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, Anytime Fitness, and Crunch, and this one was undeniably the worst. Despite hearing negative reviews, I thought I'd give it a shot. Now I wish I had heeded the warnings against going.

I popped in as a guest, and let me tell you, they were so laid-back. No tedious forms to fill out and no sales pitch like you get at LA Fitness (at least not that day with that particular staff member). The gym is divided into different sections, and upstairs there seems to be plenty of treadmills and elliptical machines. It definitely attracts a younger crowd.

Spotless. Lovely team. Excellent variety, I adore the functional section for those sans UFC membership. Admire the spaciousness too. Unbeatable price for the self-sufficient. Would highly suggest to all. They also offer clean showers and well-kept lockers. Gym temperature is spot-on. Music could use an upgrade, but not too shabby.

I wouldn't recommend this gym at all, mate. I have to be straight with ya, my lad had no problems with the equipment or anything like that, but the issue was with the billing. They slap on a 50 dollar annual cleaning fee and a 90 dollar sign-up fee, on top of the 16.99 a month for membership. When I saw those prices, I thought my lad would be better off going back to LA Fit, so a month later I swung by to cancel the membership. And guess what happened? That day they hit me with another 50 dollar annual charge that I didn't even know about. I insisted on canceling, but they kept trying to push me into just freezing the account. I stood my ground and canceled anyway, ignoring the staff. But lo and behold, two days later, I see a 16.99 charge on the account. And get this, it's my 15-year-old son's account, and Crunch was just snatching the money he earned right out of there. I couldn't get them to refund any of those charges, not even the 50 dollar fee. This gym is full of dodgy characters, mate, and it's absolutely out of line to charge these amounts, especially to a young teenager. I'm definitely heading back to LA Fit and sticking with them for good. If you value your hard-earned cash, steer clear of this place, mate.

Their gym is quite dirty compared to the other gyms I have visited. When I was deciding which gym to join, I was completely put off by the cleanliness of this one. Even in the early morning, there was a lack of toilet paper in the bathroom, the sinks were filthy, and it appeared to be the standard there.

The gym is spotless, with a super welcoming team. There's a great array of equipment available all the time. They also provide a range of classes for everyone. My main gripe would be the constant blaring of rap music during the weekdays – it's just too loud! It would be awesome if they featured a more diverse selection of tunes for us gym-goers.

I've never set foot in this gym, nor has my daughter. I keep receiving persistent and alarming phone calls and emails from this establishment regarding a supposed overdue balance for my 4-year-old daughter. Despite explaining to numerous staff members over the phone that my child has never visited this gym, I continue to be harassed. Recently, I even received an email from Patty threatening to send our account to collections if we do not pay up. I offered to provide evidence from my bank statement showing that we have never used their services. It's frustrating that no one seems to listen or respond appropriately, only insisting on sending us to collections.

-I doubt the water station filter has been replaced since I joined.

I've been hitting up this gym for about a couple of months now, and I must say, it's bloody brilliant. The gear is top-notch, mate. I pop in late at night, give the staff a nod, and they always greet me with a smile. The place is massive, with a proper variety of machines and weights. And can you believe it, the monthly rate is only around 10 to 13 quid. Can't really fault it, to be honest. Cheers!

Fitness classes are absolutely brilliant. They offer a variety of hours to suit your schedule. The facility is spotless, the staff are always smiling, the website is top-notch, and it's a breeze to locate class timetables. You can even register online. Just bear in mind, parking may become a bit of an issue in the coming months.

Please, please don't register at this awful gym. The staff are clueless, the management is poor. They mistakenly charge certain members a few hundred dollars and claim it was an accidental transaction, assuring that the money will be refunded to your account in a few days. However, they never apologize, and your money never comes back to you. This is fraudulent behavior. Manager Frank cannot be trusted; he is extremely rude, dishonest, and shows no respect for customers. $14.99 is a lot of money to give to such a corrupt establishment. Don't waste your precious time there; any other gym would be better than this place. It is the worst gym in SoCal.
