I signed up for a membership for me and my husband at this gym. I hardly ever go because I find the atmosphere quite off-putting. Everything seems rather filthy, the pool water isn't properly filtered, and there's mold and slipperiness on the pool floor. My most recent visit to the pool resulted in a skin infection on my face. Now, half my face is swollen and covered in blisters. The doctor diagnosed it as cellulitis. It's dreadful; I'm now on antibiotics and look quite frightening. To top it off, I've been getting headaches too.

The best gym in all of New England, no doubt about it! The staff is incredibly friendly and polite. The heated swimming pool is absolutely beautiful. There are a variety of rooms and machines to choose from. The facility is massive, modern, and impeccably clean.

Whether you're hitting the weights, sweating it out in the cardio area, enjoying a private session, or working with a personal trainer, taking a dip in the pool, practicing yoga, spinning, or joining in one of the many group classes... you're immersed in a fantastic environment with skilled, friendly, and quickly recognizable staff! They even offer childcare, a sauna, a hot tub, and soooo much more!!!! I am absolutely thrilled with Fitness First 😄

Fitness First is a smashing family-operated establishment that is spotless, up-to-date, tip-top maintained, and boasts such amicable staff and trainers. One can discern that their staff truly takes to heart your personal fitness ambitions and advancement. The pool is a cracking extra perk! From group sessions to one-on-one coaching, this gym has the lot.

I've been a member of the gym for about 15 years now. The group exercise instructors are absolute gems, truly talented and so motivational - they will inspire you to reach your fitness goals, no doubt about it. The pool is always sparkling clean and perfectly heated - I love bringing my children along to enjoy it with me. The group classes cater to every fitness level and the equipment is top-notch. I remember taking my youngest child to the gym's childcare when he was just a little one, and now he's all grown up and a member himself! We're determined to instill healthy habits in all our kids and keep them active. The owners are just lovely people, so kind-hearted, and Brandon, in particular, always greets everyone with a beaming SMILE. This establishment is truly top-tier, and being a member here brings me so much joy.

I feel so blessed to work as a Zumba instructor at Fitness First. The gym has truly become like a second home to me, welcoming new faces and creating new friendships and even a sense of family among employees and members alike. It's just alright, you know?
Quite a bit of the gear is a tad old with rust and not kept up.
Occasionally, there's no hot water in the showers.
They shut off the steam room 30-40 minutes before closing, likely to save a few quid.
The parking lot looks like it’s been through a battle.
By and large, the joint seems a bit old-fashioned and past its prime.
And it's not exactly a steal.

Absolutely love this gym, the layout is top-notch and there's something for everyone here! The sense of community is fantastic, and the members are incredibly welcoming. The kids club is a brilliant bonus for us parents, and the weekly classes are ideal for those starting out on their fitness journey. I've been a member for around 6 months now and I couldn't be happier with my decision!
