Planet Fitness is a fantastic spot! I trek around the nation every day, and Planet Fitness is my go-to stop five days a week. This particular PF is top-notch! Nevertheless, I do wish the men's locker room was cleaner. In my experience, high-traffic areas tend to neglect their locker room facilities. I propose keeping a bottle of disinfectant by the showers and stalls so that everyone can give them a quick wipe and spray after each use, just like everything else. It seems apparent that the staff does not check them regularly. I'm not bashing Planet Fitness; it's just a suggestion. I adore Planet Fitness, except for the subpar locker rooms in metropolitan areas nationwide.

I must say, it was an absolute pleasure being a member at your gyms. Always spotless and greeted with a warm smile every time I dropped by any of your locations. Alas, due to health reasons, I regrettably had to bid farewell. Many thanks to the entire team for their exceptional professionalism throughout my time there.
Evelyn Martinez (6/15/25, 2:38 PM):
Sometimes it can get a bit busy, but the app lets you know in advance. The gym is clean and I appreciate that it's open 24 hours. One of the massage chairs works really well, but the other one needs some maintenance. It would be great if they had an extra fly machine, as there's only one and it always seems to be occupied. The staff is friendly and helpful though.
Christopher Gonzales (6/12/25, 5:05 AM):
I've been a member at this gym for 3 years now. The location is super handy for me, being just around the corner from my place, and the fact that it's open 24/7 is a big plus. The staff and fellow gym-goers are really friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It's become like a second home to me. I recently joined another gym as well, but I still find myself coming back here because of the great cable equipment, the supportive staff, the overall vibe, the convenient location, and, of course, the reasonable pricing. I've managed to establish a solid workout routine and have seen some significant gains in both size and strength over the years. It's a fantastic gym to be a part of. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Riley Campbell (6/11/25, 7:37 AM):
Most of the machines are constantly out of order and in a state of disrepair, the bathrooms are in dreadful condition, and numerous parts of the flooring pose a safety hazard due to being raised.
Mark Simmons (6/10/25, 5:23 AM):
The gym is always pristine, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I do wish the gym had more space, but considering it's situated inside the mall, they've made the most of the limited area they have.
Arthur Parker (6/9/25, 2:17 PM):
Amazing gym with amazing people. The fact that it's accessible 24/7 is super convenient for me, and it's an incredibly tidy and well-organized gym. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, ready to assist with any inquiries. The gym has a welcoming atmosphere, and the equipment is very easy to use. On top of all that, they provide FREE personal training for all members, which is just fabulous!
Tyler Martinez (6/3/25, 12:25 PM):
The spacious and pristine atmosphere makes for an inviting workout environment. The array of equipment available is always abundant, and the staff is both polite and accommodating. The women's shower and changing facilities are not only comfortable but exceptionally well-maintained. This gym is truly one of the finest I've come across in the DC Metro area. Delighted to be a member here.
Russell Brooks (6/2/25, 11:40 PM):
If there were any other affordable and local gym options available, trust me, I wouldn't even consider setting foot in this particular Planet Fitness branch. The space is way too cramped for the number of members it attracts. Trying to squeeze in a workout session after office hours is an exercise in futility - every single machine will be occupied, and you'll find folks doing their exercises haphazardly all over the place because there's no dedicated area for stretching or floor work. And don't get me started on the state of the equipment - it seems like something new breaks down every time I visit, even the toilets can't seem to catch a break! I used to frequent a Planet Fitness in New Jersey and it was fantastic, but I certainly can't vouch for this particular location.
Lauren Simmons (6/2/25, 10:45 PM):
Absolutely dreadful customer service. Upon checking in, the customer service representative simply stared at me without saying a word. At the end of my workout, I returned to the customer service desk only to be ignored once more by the same individual for several minutes, until another more attentive representative interrupted their conversation to ask if I needed assistance. I requested the hydro bed, wiped it down myself, waited patiently, but alas, it never turned on. This will be my first and last visit to this particular location.
Marilyn Stewart (6/1/25, 7:42 PM):
I frequent this particular gym regularly. The staff are truly some of the friendliest I have encountered, and there is a wonderful sense of community that keeps me coming back multiple times a week. However, there are a few things that give me pause.
- This location feels quite crowded compared to others, though there isn't much that can be done about that.
- The cleanliness of the restrooms could use improvement when compared to other locations.
- It has been several months now and four out of the five stair stepper machines have been out of order. Consequently, there is often a line to use the sole functioning machine, which can be quite frustrating.
Regardless of these concerns, this gym still suits my needs well.
Rose Gomez (5/31/25, 11:01 PM):
This gym is absolutely dreadful with its ridiculous rule of having to store my bag in a locker that requires a paid lock. I have never encountered such a policy at any other Planet Fitness location worldwide. It seems like a completely unnecessary rule aimed at frustrating both myself and fellow gym-goers.
Austin Gomez (5/30/25, 7:50 PM):
The staff at this gym is quite friendly, and I appreciate the variety of equipment available, as well as the massage chairs. The cleanliness is somewhat lacking, particularly in the bathrooms where the showers and changing rooms are filthy and the floors are sticky. Despite this, the gym is generally clean on most days, except for the disappointing state of the bathrooms. The space is ample, even though there can be large crowds at times.
Kathleen Cook (5/29/25, 3:51 PM):
I would rate this gym with just one star, as it seems impossible to rate it any lower. Despite its proximity to my workplace, it is disheartening to witness the state in which a major company like Planet Fitness has allowed this particular location to deteriorate over the past year. The persistent foul odor of urine in the bathrooms remains unaddressed, machines are frequently out of order and left unrepaired, and the water filter has required replacement numerous times without prompt attention. It is truly disappointing to observe the lack of cleanliness and maintenance by the staff, as their sporadic cleaning efforts are barely noticeable throughout the day. Hopefully, there will be a shift in management soon, with individuals who prioritize the upkeep and hygiene of this establishment for the benefit of all visitors.🤬🤬
This review pertains to the Planet Fitness located in the Greenbelt MD mall at 6100 Greenbelt Rd Unit 201, Greenbelt, MD 20770.
Louis Young (5/23/25, 9:37 AM):
This gym provides top-notch customer service, I must say. However, I can't help but wonder why the stair stepper machines have been out of commission for MONTHS now. These machines are crucial to my workout routine, and with only one operational machine that is always in use, it's becoming quite frustrating. Besides this issue, I have no other complaints about the gym.
Daniel Roberts (5/18/25, 1:46 AM):
I must say, I found the gym quite dingy and gloomy. There's a definite lack of natural light, and the interior lighting is rather dim, both inside and on that side of the mall.
Alan Powell (5/17/25, 8:25 PM):
I use the treadmill because it calculates my miles walked and calories burned, which makes me feel like I've really put in the effort. I usually power walk at a speed of 2.5-2.7 and can typically burn around 225-250 calories in just 25 minutes. It's a great feeling of accomplishment when I reach that goal.
Being new to working out, I think I'm doing pretty well with my stride.
Charles Kim (5/17/25, 5:16 AM):
I must say, this gym is absolutely spotless and well-organized. The staff members are incredibly attentive and always ready to assist you with anything you may need. The equipment is consistently well-maintained and kept clean. I highly recommend Planet Fitness in Greenbelt, MD.
Angela Kim (5/16/25, 12:03 PM):
Upon first setting foot in this establishment, I reckoned the sole drawback to be the deficiency of natural light. The place was neat as a pin and contraptions always in proper working order. Alas, things have taken a turn for the worse over the last year. The gents' lavatory harbors but one hand dryer that has been defunct for o'er a year. A trifle inconvenienced too is the situation with the shower stalls, once three in number, now reduced to a mere two as one has been out of commission for at least a span of 3-4 moons and cleanliness is no longer its forte. The custodial situation here leaves much to be desired, methinks. 'Tis imperative that the management dispatch a repair person or plumber posthaste to attend to these matters with diligence. 'Tis seemingly a trifling matter, yet when one strives to spruce up post-exercise, a scarcity of shower stalls proves a gargantuan hindrance. I trust not another 3-4 moons shall elapse ere these concerns are set aright.
Sean Morales (5/16/25, 6:13 AM):
This gym is decent, you pretty much get what you pay for. The area is a bit rough, but parking is easy to find. They could use more equipment, and they're only open 24 hours on three days of the week. It gets pretty busy on weeknights, so you might have to wait for a machine, but the PF app will tell you how crowded it is before you arrive. Checking in is simple and convenient. The staff at the front desk are friendly. All in all, a solid Planet Fitness branch.
