Dreadful customer service, exorbitant prices, minuscule pool, absence of personal TVs on cardio equipment. Solely fixated on closing a deal without a care for the customer. The missus and I were keen on enrolling at a gym, and a pal was a member at LA Fitness. LA Fitness informed her that she could gift a 3-week pass to someone by sharing their phone number. Once she sought our consent, she did just that. LA Fitness rang us, scheduled a visit with the missus to view the gym. The individual she was supposed to meet was a no-show, and the substitute she encountered was incredibly impolite. They exerted immense pressure on her to join the gym, even after she explained she needed to consult with me first and failed to provide us with the promised pass to trial the gym. We arranged another meeting to see the "appropriate individual" so I could be present. However, the correct individual was still absent, they persisted in pushing for a membership sale, and still refused to furnish us with the pass pledged to trial the gym. Weeks later, we received an email, presuming they had finally decided to grant us the pass (though we had lost interest at that stage), only to discover it was an advertisement of their membership prices.
Another acquaintance of mine was coerced into enrolling for a personal trainer with the assurance of a 2-week free trial, with the option to withdraw if dissatisfied. She trusted them and neglected to scrutinize the contract meticulously, resulting in her being tied into a personal trainer program for a hefty $1200 on top of the membership fee. Despite her calls, in-person discussions, pleas, and appeals to be released from the contract on grounds of not fully comprehending the terms agreed upon initially, the most lenient offer extended was to exit at half the price – $600 for a service she never desired from the start.
I abhor this establishment and wish for its speedy closure! I detest deceitful individuals who aim to exploit unsuspecting folk.

Non-judgmental atmosphere, welcoming staff, top-notch equipment maintenance, and a delightful smoothie bar on the premises make this my ultimate go-to gym!
Thomas Reyes (6/13/25, 11:42 AM):
Absolutely marvelous child care!!! The contrast between here and Town Lake is remarkable!! Big thanks to Wade Green for being so caring and engaging with our little ones!!!

They 'ave a "new" training area for members who purchase their training sessions. Troy, one of the trainers, 'e's a bully to the other members and kicks 'em out of the area, even though there's plenty of space for others to be in. None of the other trainers bother you or ask you to move. With all due respect, I wouldn't fancy bein' trained by an individual who is at least 100 lbs overweight anyways. A lot of their equipment doesn't work and they attempt to fix it themselves rather than gettin' it serviced. When I complained to corporate, they refused to give me names, said someone would call me, but again didn't give me a last name and told me they didn't care if I no longer was a member. Just not the kind of company I want to be a part of. Kindness and bein' genuine is somethin' I seek in places I give my money to.

I ‘ave been a long time member of this club, and I ‘ave neva experienced anythin’ like this. That manager lady Ari is actually bonkers. She seriously lacks social skills and doesn’t know a bloomin’ fing about customer service, she kept barragin’ me ‘bout the gym closin’ and tellin’ me I needed to skedaddle when I still ‘ad a whole 15–20 minutes left for my workout. I work a full-time job and get off at 8:30 PM, leavin’ me very little time to work out as it is. I don’t come ‘ere to be micromanaged or treated like I dunno how to act. I’m a grown man; I know when an establishment is closin’ and when to leave. I don’t appreciate bein’ disrespected and harassed durin’ the small amount of time I ‘ave to focus on my health. If this is ‘ow loyal members are treated, it makes me reconsider if this is the right place for me.
Donald Bennett (6/10/25, 4:10 PM):
This is one of me favorite spots to visit. The staff be friendly, and the gym got a recent makeover, making it feel way more modern. Definitely worth a look!
Juan Graham (6/9/25, 12:47 AM):
I've only been going for a few days, but it's been a jolly good experience so far. This gym spot is spotless and they've got a tidy little station where you can grab sanitation goodies to spruce up the machines before and after use. The customer service has been top-notch. They offer cycling, zumba, and other classes to choose from, as well as an abundance of weights. There's even a basketball court (which my husband absolutely adores), a sauna, and a pool. I highly recommend this gym spot. Cheers!
Thomas Jenkins (6/7/25, 11:56 PM):
The sole redeeming quality of this establishment is the friendly staff at the front desk.

The men's locker rooms and bathrooms are frequently dirty and it seems like they only get cleaned once a week. I've noticed the same stain on the floor for several days before it finally disappears.

There is very little air circulation in the gym given the number of people present. The air conditioning doesn't seem to be sufficient for the size of the facility, and there are no ceiling or standing fans at all.

Many of the cable machines (row, cable squat, fly) have been out of order for over 6 weeks and are still not repaired.

There always seems to be a shortage of barbells for some reason, leading to a constant game of searching for available ones.

Most patrons do not return the dumbbells to their proper place after use, often requiring them to be tracked down. While this is not directly the fault of the establishment, they could do more to enforce proper gym etiquette.
Virginia Ford (6/7/25, 1:38 PM):
I absolutely adore this establishment. It's consistently spotless, and the entire team is so welcoming. The kids club is a fantastic addition. It really boosts my spirits when I'm lacking motivation, especially with Zach's wonderful morning greetings. I am a huge fan of LA Fitness as a whole, but this particular branch feels like home to me. I wholeheartedly recommend it, 10 out of 10!
Harold Campbell (6/6/25, 9:14 PM):
This establishment is absolutely fantastic! The manager, Sarah, is consistently attentive and kind, the equipment is hardly ever out of order and always well-maintained. There is a wide array of equipment and multiple instances of many machines, so one is usually almost always available. I highly recommend this gym!
Danielle Moore (6/6/25, 12:18 PM):
This LA Fitness in Georgia is the worst, mate. When you walk in, it reeks of sewer gas. Get a plumber in here to sort that out, will ya? It's been like this for a year now, absolutely dreadful. Sometimes, it gets so bad they have to open the front doors. The toilets are always dirty, and the folks at the front desk are glued to their phones 24/7. With all the memberships they have, you'd think they would have higher standards. I don't normally leave reviews, but I'm just fed up with the filth in this gym. They need to be responsible and sort out that stench!
Theresa Hamilton (6/3/25, 9:11 PM):
The front desk staff are typically quite polite and welcoming. The locker rooms are well-maintained and kept clean. Plenty of equipment available.
Tyler Fisher (6/2/25, 10:51 PM):
What sort of gym doesn't stay open past 6pm? That's actually quite crazy, haha.
Nathan Graham (6/2/25, 8:57 AM):
I really appreciate this spot! The gym and changing rooms always look clean and neat. There's a good range of workout gear that's kept in good condition. Loads of room for group or solo workouts. The staff are helpful and the instructors are entertaining and know their stuff.
Aaron Ross (6/1/25, 1:15 PM):
OG, the LA Fitness gym still has 120 lbs dumbbells! That's a brilliant thing, mate.
Debra Simmons (5/30/25, 8:48 PM):
The gym has a good range of training equipment and a spacious area for weights. The equipment is usually fixed promptly, and the gym appears to be kept quite clean. Occasionally, there may be a receptionist who doesn't seem too enthusiastic, but other staff members are friendly. I'm not a fan of their personal training approach. They push for long-term commitments at higher prices compared to elsewhere. During my free assessment with a trainer, he made it clear that his role wasn't to teach me how to use machines – if you're not signed up for training, you're left to figure things out on your own.
Andrea Brooks (5/27/25, 3:13 AM):
This gym provides everything you need for a fantastic workout at an affordable price. While I acknowledge some of the negative reviews, it's important to remember that this is a gym, not a country club. Having realistic expectations is key. The staff here is also very good.
Jennifer Ward (5/22/25, 4:01 PM):
Splendid gym!! The manager Ryan is absolutely phenomenal! He is constantly professional and attentive. The staff consistently greets you with a smile and displays great respect. The gym is perpetually spotless and I adore the recent renovations they have implemented! If you're in search of a gym, I wholeheartedly recommend this one!!
Bryan Myers (5/21/25, 7:09 PM):
Terrible customer service from the operations manager Sarah and an employee named Isaac. I initially reached out to have my account paused. I believe the person I spoke with was the operations manager Sarah. There are two people on my account. I was never asked which membership I wanted to cancel, and I assumed the entire account was being canceled. However, I was charged $30 for one of the membership accounts. When I called to inform them, I spoke with Sarah, who was completely unhelpful and provided awful customer service. It's quite surprising that she is the operations manager. When I visited the gym in person, she was extremely condescending, laughing at me as if I were clueless. Then Isaac, an employee, also lacked any customer service skills. He argued with me about the fact that employees are not fully aware of the company's policies, which turned out to be true because I later found out that employees are not supposed to pause accounts over the phone. And as I mentioned, I am pretty sure I spoke with Sarah when I called to cancel because her demeanor was quite telling. Interestingly, the so-called operations manager Sarah was right there while her employee was arguing with a customer, and my partner had to intervene to stop him. I requested to speak with a general manager, and Sarah tried to lie, saying that he oversees multiple locations and is unavailable, though he was right there. Sarah only went to get him after he approached to inquire if everything was alright. Therefore, kudos to Corey, the general manager, who actually took the time to listen to our concerns and took responsibility for the facility's failure to adhere to policy. I also informed the corporate office about this situation and canceled my membership.
Angela Garcia (5/20/25, 10:54 PM):
The gym is absolutely dreadful. Mold and leaky ceilings, ancient rusty equipment, and missing weights galore. It's a rare sight to find a set of matching weights between 15-35 pounds, which is typically sought after by female gym-goers. The staff consists of youngsters who don't bother with uniforms, neglect cleaning duties entirely, and lack the necessary training and knowledge. Despite being on hiatus, you're still expected to pay in full, and when attempting to cancel, you're informed that only a manager can process it during specific days and hours. The cost simply does not justify the experience.
