Fantastic staff, brilliant workout atmosphere, a variety of classes on offer. Plus, there's a pool, sauna, and hot tub available too!
As a member of L.A Fitness, I have always enjoyed visiting the gym to exercise. The smoothies are fantastic, the atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, and I truly see L.A Fitness as a second home, a place to clear my mind. However, it is truly disappointing that my second home has been tainted by the arrival of new management who seem to lack social skills and critical thinking abilities.
The new manager, or whoever she may be, was incredibly rude to me and my friends during our last visit. Her behavior has made us hesitant to return to L.A Fitness. She is rude, passive-aggressive, and unprofessional. She was very unpleasant to us during check-in, and her presence really detracts from the overall positive experience at L.A Fitness.
Oh my goodness, this gym is just deteriorating by the minute! I simply cannot express enough negative things about the manager who now occupies the front desk. She is an African American lady with the most dreadful customer service skills I have ever encountered. She leaves people standing there, has a terrible attitude towards the members, and more.
Some of my friends have shared similar experiences with her, and even employees here have mentioned it, but I didn't believe it until I witnessed it firsthand. LA Fitness, you really need to step up your game and hire someone who is truly qualified to represent your business. She is absolutely the worst.
They never seem to update their class schedule on Google. The men's locker room is always out of paper towels and toilet paper, and the toilets and urinals are quite unpleasant. As a former employee of this establishment, I can attest that this gym falls far below the expected standards.
This LA Fitness spot is not up to par in my opinion. I've worked in sales and customer service for quite some time, and from experience, there's always a way to find a solution that benefits both parties when it comes to making a business deal. After being a member for almost 4 years and referring two friends, it seemed like they weren't interested in our business at all. They didn't even bother explaining the advantages of joining as a member. It's a poorly managed location if you ask me. So, after a brief conversation with them and allegedly speaking with a 'manager', they couldn't offer any solutions. About 10 minutes later, we visited LA Fitness -Woodstock on Eagle Drive, where we received much friendlier service. After discussing and actually taking the time to understand our needs, they successfully signed up two happy members who now have access to any club!
I've been hitting the gym at La Fitness on Wade Green for a couple of months now. I just met the new General Manager, and she really seems to know her stuff. She's always out on the floor chatting with members. I've heard others describing her as having a fantastic and upbeat attitude. I've already referred one person, and she regrets not joining sooner. I'll definitely keep spreading the word about this spot. Keep up the great work! 👍
The men's sauna has always been so grimy. Rubbish and mold all over the place.
Edit: The last few months have seen a vast improvement.
LA Fitness Gym Clubs are absolutely fantastic, top-notch facilities with pristine equipment. Every location I've visited has everything I require for a thorough workout, not to mention the delightful large pool, sauna, diverse classes, and even a kids' club... I'm simply smitten.
Whenever I journey across the country, it's always a pleasure to visit a nearby LA Fitness.
Top gym in Metro Atlanta..Sarah, the manager, really takes a personal interest in everyone who walks through the door!!!!
Lovely state of the art establishment, freshly refurbished. They've just installed turf with a wide array of equipment to avail of. The personnel are accommodating and exceptionally supportive.
I've been frequenting this gym for a good two months now, and the same equipment is still out of order. I noticed that one of the machines seemed to have been fixed today, but when I tried using it, it turned out to be one of the recently repaired ones, and it was still malfunctioning. Later on, I ventured into the men's sauna, only to find the entire bench had completely collapsed with a bunch of guys in there. It appears that there are quite a few maintenance issues that need addressing at this facility. On a positive note, the management and staff are exceptionally polite and friendly. The overall cleanliness of the gym is commendable.
There's this one lady around, right, who's a bit of a grump and not the friendliest face in the gym staff. She won't even let you warm up your grub, can you believe it?
I signed up for LA Fitness primarily because of the pool. As a recovering paraplegic, I rely on pool therapy for my rehabilitation. However, in recent months, the pool temperature has been consistently cold. Despite being assured over the phone that the pool is at the right temperature, I often arrive to find it freezing, exacerbating my nerve pain. This has forced me to travel to a different location further from my home. I cannot recommend this gym to anyone interested in swimming due to this issue.
I don't reckon this gym is for anybody, they are real bullies. I don't know if these comments are coming from the staff, but they are just plain rude and disrespectful. I had to file several police reports on the staff because I was being harassed by one of the workers. I even got the police report and video evidence to back it up. I can't recommend this gym to no one; I was harassed at both their locations with all sorts of racial profiling going on. SPAN, IAN MCCAULLEY also harassed my dad and embarrassed him in front of the staff, even though I paid my membership dues on time.
I generally go to LA Fitness just for the sauna, the world pool, and the swimming pool itself. The whirlpool service is not very inviting, the whirlpool is also broken, and the showers didn't have hot water. I found it a bit confusing since all the other locations have hot water for showering. It's also disappointing that this location is advertised as having a working whirlpool when it doesn't, which is misleading. I feel like I wasted my entire break because of this. Moreover, I was in a hurry when I checked in at the facility and the staff gave me a strange look before quickly looking away. I'm not sure how to feel about that either. Every member of LA Fitness is a paying customer! I really hope they can improve this location soon.
This establishment is sorely lacking a cleaning crew. The machines are filthy and the men's locker room is absolutely dreadful. There are dirty toilets, discarded paper strewn across the unkempt floors, and an abundance of unsavory odors permeating the air. I cannot in good conscience recommend this location.
Ari the general manager was absolutely brilliant and super friendly. They went out of their way to extend my week VIP pass for a few extra days instead of pushing me to sign up for a whole month. So awesome! The gym is spotless, well-kept, and simply fantastic. My brother has been a member for 15 years. The Spin classes are top-notch, and there are spacious weight areas along with various other specialized sections. I came all the way from Boston and I'll definitely be returning.
