Superb classes, top-notch instructors, state-of-the-art facilities, and great music. It may be a bit pricey, but totally worth it if you make regular use of the services.

The staff and facilities are absolutely fantastic. Impeccably clean and well looked after. The trainers and instructors really know their stuff, very professional. A top-notch club for sure.
Philip Peterson (6/7/25, 11:30 AM):
Being a new member, I had a complimentary training session with Alex at this gym today. She is incredibly kind and attentive, taking the time to address my concerns and goals thoroughly. I've visited various Equinox locations and attended classes, but I must say that the Westlake location is truly stunning. It's not overly crowded, features a lovely swimming pool, however, I did notice that the training machine area and the ladies' bathrooms were quite dirty. Fortunately, parking is very convenient, and the surrounding area is fantastic, with a charming shopping plaza nearby called "The Promenade at The Westlake."
Gabriel Bailey (6/7/25, 9:02 AM):
After many years of being a loyal member since their opening, I must say I am deeply disappointed with Equinox's account management. The gym itself is beautiful, with great amenities and high-quality equipment. However, I have had multiple issues with billing errors, including being double charged or overcharged, which required me to reach out to management on four separate occasions.
Despite providing email confirmations of my account freeze and cancellation, I continued to be erroneously charged. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer accounts is unacceptable. Even after cancelling my membership due to the lack of quality classes post-reopening and an unwarranted rate hike, the billing errors persisted.
I even tried escalating the issue to the manager, Don Laird, but received no assistance or acknowledgment of responsibility. As someone with 15 years of experience in customer service, I find this level of negligence and lack of empathy concerning. Several of my friends have shared similar experiences, indicating a systemic issue within the organization that needs to be addressed.
In conclusion, while Equinox may have top-notch facilities, its management's handling of accounts and customer concerns leaves much to be desired.
Jordan Perez (6/3/25, 3:12 PM):
Super clean, lovely folks who are always welcoming. I love coming here and am excited to work on my fitness and strength. The location is perfect for me, just a stone's throw away from my workplace. The classes and equipment are top-notch and definitely worth the investment.
Amelia Thomas (6/1/25, 8:39 AM):
Selena and her team are just smashing it at keeping this gym spotless! Top-notch vibes and a cracking workout every time at Equinox in Westlake! HUGE THANKS, EQUINOX!
Diane Jones (5/31/25, 7:31 AM):
As a seasoned member, I must express my disappointment with the recent policies implemented by Equinox Westlake regarding member segregation.
It is now mandatory to present a digital pass on your phone for entry into the gym, as physical member cards are no longer accepted. Additionally, reservations must be made in advance, and a health declaration must be signed each time you visit.
Equinox is enforcing a policy that requires members to be vaccinated in order to access the gym, without any exceptions for religious beliefs or personal reasons.
Moreover, there have been reports of "health officers" patrolling the gym and verbally confronting members who are not wearing their masks properly, while they themselves may not adhere to the same standards.
What used to be a welcoming community gym has now become a place where strict regulations and mandates overshadow the enjoyment of working out. If you value personal freedoms, there are numerous other fitness facilities in the Conejo Valley that may better suit your preferences.
Gloria Hamilton (5/30/25, 12:18 AM):
Awesome spot to get a workout in. The gear is top-notch and up-to-date. The group trainers really show they care.
Barbara Coleman (5/29/25, 8:07 PM):
I absolutely adore this Equinox gym. It is one of the latest additions to the LA fitness scene, so everything feels incredibly fresh and up-to-date. The main reason I frequent this establishment is for its impeccable cleanliness – it's an absolute game-changer for me. I never have to worry about encountering a dirty environment, as the cleaning crew works tirelessly around the clock (they truly are amazing and deserve all the recognition). The pool, showers, steam room – you name it, I love it all! Being greeted by my first name upon entering the club really adds a personal touch that I appreciate.
The only aspect that doesn't quite sit well with me is the occasionally aggressive sales tactics and the relatively high turnover rate among staff.
Joyce Stewart (5/29/25, 11:37 AM):
The best gym in Westlake, hands down. I've had a cracking time here, and the service has been absolutely top-notch. The staff are a right friendly bunch, and the patrons are a proper polite lot. I'm quite chuffed with the ample parking space and the pristine pool, not to mention the fantastic gym vibes.
Roger Thomas (5/28/25, 2:13 AM):
Requested a deep tissue massage specialist, but was disappointed with the service. The masseuse was said to be one of the best, but my husband found it to be one of the worst massages he's ever had. He felt soaked in oil and only received minimal attention to the areas he asked for help with during the 80-minute session. I prefer not to disclose the masseuse's name, but if she is considered one of the top therapists at the gym, I would not recommend her for deep tissue work.
Angela Foster (5/23/25, 2:05 PM):
Every day is a challenge for us travelers. It's tough to come by what we're looking for. Supervisor Adam was quite unhelpful and dismissive.
Mia Anderson (5/22/25, 8:30 PM):
The top-notch gym in the vicinity. Awesome facilities, top-quality equipment, and superb staff. I popped in for a brief tour, and Stephanie was a star in guiding me around. Loads of fantastic amenities too, I’ll definitely be making a return visit.
Robert Jordan (5/22/25, 12:40 AM):
This gym is absolutely top-notch! The facility is fantastic, the equipment is spot on, and the staff are truly superb. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to level up their fitness game.
Roy Young (5/21/25, 11:08 AM):
It was quite difficult for me to write this review, but I felt compelled to do so. I opted to have a 15-minute chair massage in the gym, and it was fantastic. The masseur informed me beforehand that the cost would be $35 for 15 minutes. However, at the end of the session, when I offered a tip, he mentioned that it had already been included in the total, leaving me to pay $45 for the massage. I found this rather absurd. It would have been more considerate if he had alerted me to this beforehand.
Wayne Barnes (5/21/25, 12:33 AM):
I would highly advise against joining this gym! It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with them. I took the necessary steps to cancel my membership in 2020 due to the pandemic, despite their attempts to make the process complicated. However, I was shocked to discover that they had resumed charging my card in March 2021 without my knowledge. Given the challenges of the past year, I only recently became aware of these unauthorized charges. Despite never setting foot in the gym since canceling, they are now denying my cancellation and refusing to issue a refund. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this gym.
Christina Graham (5/20/25, 11:19 AM):
Decent gym, I suppose. You really do get what you pay for.
Andrew Hamilton (5/16/25, 6:18 PM):
The Earthbar is still closed, however, aside from that, it's a great spot.
Daniel Hayes (5/15/25, 11:58 PM):
If you're thinkin' of joinin', be sure to seek out Reza!! A true professional and hospitable, he truly enhanced my joinin' experience!! 5 stars all the way ⭐️
Amber Morris (5/13/25, 3:53 PM):
This spot is top-notch, mate. No hassle parking.
The crew here is top-notch - they're always on hand to lend a hand and make you feel right at home.
As of September 2023:
Still ranking among the best gyms out there.
June 2024 update:
Hands down, this spot remains the absolute best in the game.
