Oh, blimey! Training with Lana Startseva has been an absolute game-changer for me, it has! When I first started working out with my trainer Fred Merrida, I was in a right state, struggling with loads of health issues and trying to shed some pounds. I 'eard a lot of good things about Fred, so I thought, why not give it a go? I was a bit unsure if me body could 'andle the physical demands at first, but Fred was brilliant. After a few months, things were looking up. So when Fred suggested I try training with Lana, I was a tad hesitant, to be honest. I didn't know anything about her, and I wasn't sure she could adapt to me body's quirks.
But Lana, oh she's a gem! She's got a ton of knowledge, and she can switch exercises on the spot. She took the time to understand where I was at physically and mentally, and started working on making me stronger. We progressed slowly and methodically, always mixing things up so it never got boring. If I couldn't do something, Lana would find a way around it without any fuss. And then the bloomin' COVID-19 pandemic hit, and we couldn't meet in person anymore. When Fred and Lana suggested we do Skype sessions, I was skeptical. How could Lana correct me form and muscle usage over video? But let me tell ya, Lana is even more meticulous now! We work together twice a week, head to toe, doing warmups, exercises, and stretches. She's always on point with me posture and muscle engagement, asking for feedback after each exercise. And she adjusts things based on me effort level, which is brill!
These workouts 'ave been a ruddy success! I feel stronger than ever, doing things I thought were impossible before. Thanks to Lana, I can now balance on me right leg and walk unassisted, which I couldn't do for ages. Me back and muscles are heaps stronger, and I feel fantastic! I genuinely look forward to every session, feeling both knackered and energized afterwards. Lana is considerate and kind, yet she pushes me to achieve things I never dreamt I could. She gives top-notch feedback and encouragement, always finding ways to work around any obstacles me body throws at us. I can't recommend Lana Startseva enough - she's changed me life for the better, and I'm chuffed to bits! Now, off I go to practice a few squats before our next sesh!
GENUINE... I reckon I began hitting the gym with Fred around November as per my partner in crime's suggestion to give him a try. I had been frequenting Orange Theory for ages and felt like I needed something to ramp things up. Let me tell you, Fred will PUSH YOU TO YOUR LIMITS! AND he allows me to jokingly, verbally lash out/vent at him when things start getting a bit painful ;) Great sense of humor, keeps you driven, extremely knowledgeable, and makes the workouts enjoyable. My best friend and I go together twice a week to keep each other in check. We've both witnessed and felt some significant results. If you're looking for someone to elevate your game, Fred is your guy!
This here is a top-notch studio, mate. It ain't just any old gym, it's more of a personal fitness studio catered to folks of all fitness levels. For those who fancy a bit of social workout vibe, there are classes on offer. And for those seeking a more personalized program, they've got personal training available. The space is roomy, with a good mix of classic gear like dumbbells, ropes, and medicine balls, as well as some swanky new high-tech equipment like Jacob's Ladder and a fancy vibrating contraption. I've been sweating it out with Fred for over 3 years now, and I've rediscovered my inner athlete and learned heaps about health and nutrition in the process. Thanks to Fred's training plan and nutrition tips, I get compliments left and right. As the big cheese of this joint, Fred brings a ton of experience to the table and he's passing that wisdom onto his talented team. I hit up Beyond Health and Fitness thrice weekly, and aside from killer workouts, I also get personalized nutrition advice and pep talks that keep me pushing for more.
My hubby was on the lookout for a personal trainer and stumbled upon Fred. Since then, he's been coming home with a grin, all eager about his sessions with Fred. Feeling the need to get back into fitness myself, I decided to give Fred a try, hoping he could assist me. Let me tell you, Fred is an absolute gem of a trainer. He's incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to his clients' progress. Right from the get-go, he took the time to understand my needs and tailored exercises just for me. His constant encouragement left me feeling empowered, and after 4 to 5 weeks, I could already sense the improvements.
Fred's cheerful and motivational attitude instills a sense of self-assurance in me. Every session leaves me beaming and brimming with confidence. Thank you, Fred, for everything!
I popped in with me mate who's a steady at the studio for a weekend sweat sesh and was proper impressed by the class! I always fancy a bit of guidance from instructors to help me maximize me workout. The mix of pilates and HIIT all crammed into one hour kept me on me toes and drenched in sweat throughout. It felt more like a 45-minute workout, which tells ya how much I fancied it. Fred's vibe and attention to the class made me feel well supported as a newbie. The smaller group setup was cozy yet welcoming, and I'm looking forward to swinging by again soon with me mate!
It’s a jolly good surprise to see Fred’s class now available on Class Pass! I've trained with Fred in the past, and it was a splendid start to my weight training journey.
When I first noticed the Pilates class available on Class Pass from Beyond Health and Fitness, I assumed it was a mat Pilates class. To my delight, it turned out to be with a brand new reformer! What I adore about this class is that it's not a large group session (there are a total of 4 reformers, making it feel more like a well-designed and focused small group class). You get to work with the reformer for the majority of the class, around 40-45 minutes, and Fred has always been a fantastic trainer and instructor, full of patience and encouragement.
Afterwards, you have access to other forms of exercise in another room of the studio, such as ball slams, battle ropes, stair climbers, and so on, which are all jolly fun ways to spice up the exercise experience for about 10-15 minutes. Then Fred wraps up the class with a 5-minute stretch on the reformer.
As someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and incorporates exercise into my daily routine, the Pilates class from Beyond Health and Fitness is by far my favorite among all the Pilates/Lagree studios I've tried. Cheers to Fred and the fantastic team at Beyond Health and Fitness!
I've been seeing Fred Merrida for personal training for over two years now, and I can't speak highly enough of him. I'm a keen cyclist, and I was experiencing a lot of knee pain and discomfort. Fred tailored my fitness regime to focus on strengthening my hamstrings and core, and as a result, I can now tackle stairs without wincing in pain. And goodbye love handles, thanks to all those planks and push-ups! The studio is top-notch with all new equipment (mats, weights, Bosu balls, and unique machines like Jacob's ladder and vibrating platform), making it a joy to work out there. If you're looking to improve your fitness levels, I highly recommend trying out the classes at Beyond Health and Fitness (they offer boot camp, circuit training, and yoga) or opting for personal training. They've even added yoga and massage services to their offerings now, too.
Oh mate, let me tell ya, this Pilates Reformer HIIT class is my absolute fave workout! If ya fancy a bit of variety and quality in your workout routine, this class is the way to go. It's a mix of an amazing core workout on the reformer (usually about 30-40 mins), some cardio and weights on the floor (around 10 minutes), and a good chunk of time dedicated to stretching. And get this, the class size is only 4 people, so you really get a lot of attention and feedback from Fred, who's a top-notch personal trainer. For someone like me who gets bored easily and likes to keep my workouts well-rounded, this class is spot on. Plus, the intimate setting makes it easy to ask questions and ensure you're nailing the moves to avoid any injuries. Fred is a top bloke, dead friendly and genuinely cares about his clients' experience. Quick tip: you can book his class on his website or through classpass. Parking is usually easy to find, but his studio is a bit tucked away in the corner. Overall, I'd give this class a solid 10 out of 10 – highly recommend giving it a go! :)
Working with Fred has become a part of my weekly routine, and it has been such a pleasure. I have been attending his Pilates HIIT class for the past 4 months, and as someone who was new to Pilates, this is the best class I could have chosen! He guides you on form and ensures that you are fully engaged in each stretch and workout. I would give 10 stars if I could!
This is a top-notch training facility, I must say! Fred has collaborated with me to craft a bespoke training regimen that enables me to keep up with my cycling regime while also focusing on enhancing my core and other oft-overlooked muscle groups. It's this level of individualized care that really spurs me on and compels me to strive towards better health. The studio is perfectly proportioned for both group classes and one-on-one sessions. If you're in the market for a gym and personal trainer, you absolutely have to give Beyond Health and Fitness Studio a go, old chap!
I nevah thought I'd actually look forward to Pilates, but Fred changed me mind. I now try to go weekly because that's how good and unique his classes are. He begins with Reformer exercises, followed up by HIIT circuits, then ends with relaxing hip stretches. Since only 4 people max are allowed, Fred is constantly paying attention to your form, breathing, and skill level. His equipment is top notch, clean, and organized. So glad I found him and his studio! Cheers!
