Brand new gym equipment just arrived at the gym! Come and check out our latest additions for your workout routine.
Kelly Perez (6/15/25, 10:06 AM):
After visiting a different PF in a nearby town, I stumbled upon this PF. I am delighted that I chose to give this gym a try. The amenities and staff here are superb! The gym, the equipment, the restrooms – all immaculately maintained! The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming to all patrons!! The moment I set foot in this place, I am greeted and reassured with a "We've got you covered! Have a fantastic workout!" I regularly observe the staff tidying up and moving around to assist us in the gym. It’s an excellent place to exercise and should serve as a model for how ALL PF locations should operate!
Gary Wright (6/15/25, 2:48 AM):
First time at this gym spot. It was tidy, simple to get around and the check-in crew were quite pleasant and obliging. I dropped by on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. There's a paid parking area just nearby but it's a bit steep in terms of cost.
Kyle Kim (6/12/25, 1:23 PM):
The facility be always spotless and fully staffed. This particular spot 'as restricted hours, so it's best to double-check afore plannin' a late-night workout. Parkin' can also be a bit of a challenge at times. The app comes in handy for keepin' an eye on the "crowd meter."
Ronald Gutierrez (6/11/25, 1:40 PM):
Neat and well-maintained establishment.

Honest review of this PF. From my understanding, this is a corporate gym versus franchise. They obviously have more options on upgraded equipment versions.

That bein' stated, I can only give 4 stars as although they have better financial backin', I am disappointed that they opted for the purple vinyl type mats versus the gray rubber mats. It is very challengin' to not slide around on the mats or have the mat itself slide (especially durin' any plyo or very sweaty type exercises).

The 45° Leg Press is also not the better option, as there is hardly any grip on the foot pedal and one can slide up durin' the press.

The upright bikes seem to indicate low battery frequently, which hopefully gets resolved.

Not just wantin' to complain about the equipment, there are great upgrades, such as the abduction and adduction machines, which allows you to increase the angle by tilting the seat back.

Most of the machines have a timer and counter on them, which really adds value to one’s set and reps. They have more machines than the franchises.

The cable pulley machines are also pretty impressive, with the slotted weight options and different design altogether.

They keep the place clean and are constantly walkin' around and cleanin'. Even the manager partakes in this, which I find amazin' and he gets much respect for doin' so.

Overall it is a great gym, great price, great space, great manager (free parkin' - when not competin' with downtown shoppers)
Kimberly Miller (6/9/25, 9:50 AM):
My favorite spot to visit from Monday to Friday. The gym is always spotless, the variety of equipment is ideal for my workouts. The staff are very friendly as well. One of my top picks by a long shot.
Nicole Harris (6/4/25, 9:20 PM):
To be honest, I do miss when they had a scale in the locker rooms. I completely get the business model and that the number is not important at all, but for those of us wanting to track progress while training, it's a bit of a drawback. It's a fantastic spot for newcomers and casual workouts. If you're serious about your training or seeking more, it might not be the ideal place. The gyms are often crowded, the smaller locations (although some are quite spacious) are generally clean, and the staff is friendly. It's reasonably priced and convenient for people from all walks of life. The Concord location is where I usually go, but the parking situation there is pretty terrible.
Janet Ramirez (6/3/25, 11:13 AM):
The staff are quite kind and the space is ample for a Planet Fitness. The only downside is that they close rather early and aren't open 24/5 as their signs suggest.
William Harris (6/2/25, 7:35 PM):
This spot 'as the finest crew. Utterly charming and obliging, thank you Miha and Chardonnay for bein' so ace.
Mary Cooper (6/2/25, 7:10 AM):
Top-notch customer service, relaxed clientele, pristine equipment in excellent condition. Hands down one of the finest Planet Fitness locations in the Bay Area! I thoroughly enjoy visiting this gym, meeting new people, and pushing myself to the limit!
Bobby Hall (6/1/25, 8:34 PM):
This here is one of the cleanest gyms I've ever stepped foot in out here in the Bay. It's decked out with all the equipment you could need for a solid cardio or strength training sesh, and the absence of free barbells means no one's recklessly dropping weights left and right. The staff are top-notch, they really do deserve all the stars in the universe for their service.

However, be aware that the gym is on the smaller side, so it can get real packed during peak hours, especially if you're eyeing those dumbbells, smith machines, or cable setups. They've got plenty of cardio gear, but let's be honest, why would you want to do cardio indoors when you're living in a Mediterranean climate? That's a mystery to me, but hey, folks have their reasons, I suppose.

Now, onto the gym's main snag: the influx of folks. Now this ain't the gym's fault at all, I reckon it's pretty darn swell for what it offers, but trying to grab some weights post-3PM is near impossible with the swarm of high schoolers (seriously, how come the local high schools don't have decent gyms?) and resolution-makers. Since January hit, the resolution crowd has only gotten thicker, to the point where the free weight area feels like rush hour, even during off-peak times.

And don't even bother with the app's crowd meter, mate. Just stick to good ol' Google Maps for that.

The usual crowd tends to abide by gym etiquette, mostly. Every now and then you might run into someone using a bench as a water bottle holder or giving you a puzzling look when you ask to hop in on a machine they're hogging, but on the whole, it's a decent lot.

And to those of you embarking on a New Year's resolution fitness journey, lemme drop some guidance:

1. Don't rely on the calendar to kickstart your fitness goals. Chances are you'll call it quits after 2 months, while throwing everyone else's routines off track. Why not join in March? You'll dodge the resolutioner mayhem at the gym too.

2. If you're ignoring my first point and joining in anyway, stick with it past the 2-month mark. 'Cos by going back on your word, you've only added to the gym chaos and inconvenienced the regular gym-goers just so you could give it a half-hearted shot. Welcome to the judgement zone, friend.

Besides all that, it's a cracking gym with an unbelievably reasonable price tag. How they manage to turn a profit beats me, truly.
Michael Patterson (6/1/25, 3:03 AM):
There be too many folks takin' long phone breaks while perched on the machines. The great thing 'bout PF be that there ain't no influencers around.
Logan Lee (5/31/25, 10:36 PM):
Lovely folks at the reception. Simple yet tidy and well-maintained weight machines. Positive energy from the gym-goers.
Amy Wilson (5/30/25, 11:58 PM):
I recently popped into Planet Fitness with my brother, who had just flown in from Spain, and we were lucky enough to have Jacob helping us out. Right from the get-go, Jacob was super friendly and on the ball. He made signing up a breeze and took great care to make sure my brother felt at ease and knew what was going on. His professionalism and cheerful attitude were next level, making our visit to Planet Fitness an absolute winner. Huge thanks to Jacob for his stellar service and for really going the extra mile to assist us. Would definitely give him two thumbs up!
Roger Allen (5/29/25, 5:20 PM):
This here Planet Fitness spot is just top-notch, I must say. I'm always on the move for work, so I've visited a fair few of these gyms in different states, but this one truly takes the cake. I don't mind driving an extra 8 miles to get here. It's spotless and the staff are just fantastic.

Now, let me tell you, some of the other spots have gone and done away with their 30-minute express workout. That right there is what sealed the deal for me when I joined Planet Fitness. I reckon it'd be a real shame if they keep ditching that routine at the other locations. But fear not, 'cause this place still has it all, and that's why I make the effort to come here for the workout, the folks, and the vibe.
Emma Perry (5/28/25, 12:42 AM):
Genuine assessment of this PF. To my understanding, this is a corporate gym as opposed to a franchise. They seem to offer more choices in terms of upgraded equipment versions.

With that being said, I can only give it 4 stars because despite their stronger financial support, I am disappointed that they chose to go with purple vinyl mats instead of gray rubber ones. It is quite challenging not to slip on these mats or have them slide around (especially during plyometric exercises or when very sweaty).

The 45° Leg Press isn't the best option either, as there is very little grip on the foot pedal and one could easily slide up during the press.

The upright bikes often show low battery signals, which hopefully will be sorted out soon.

But not just focusing on the negatives, there are some great upgrades, such as the abduction and adduction machines, where you can adjust the angle by tilting the seat back.

Most machines come equipped with a timer and counter, which really adds value to your sets and reps. They have more machines compared to franchises.

The cable pulley machines are also quite impressive, with the slotted weight options and a different design altogether.

They keep the place clean and are constantly moving around and cleaning. Even the manager joins in, which I find impressive, and he deserves much respect for doing so.

Overall, it's a great gym with a reasonable price, good space, a great manager (and free parking - unless it's busy with downtown shoppers).
Lauren Perry (5/27/25, 12:36 PM):
I just really wish people would put down their phones, follow the rules, and be more attentive. Besides that, everything is all good.
Rebecca Sanchez (5/24/25, 12:44 PM):
I would absolutely recommend this gym in Walnut Creek. It's impeccably tidy and well-arranged, the pricing is fantastic, and it provides massage chairs and various other amenities. I consistently received top-notch treatment whenever I required aid, and canceling was a breeze—no fuss or complications. The customer service is outstanding from beginning to end.
Mia Diaz (5/22/25, 4:00 AM):
Great stuff and only $10 per month? Absolutely fabulous!
