Planet Fitness: A Review of Accessibility and Atmosphere in Westminster, Colorado
Located in Westminster, Colorado, Planet Fitness is a well-known gym that promises a judgment-free zone for fitness enthusiasts. Despite its popularity, the gym has received mixed reviews from members regarding accessibility, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere.
Accessibility and Wheelchair Features
One of the important aspects of any gym is accessibility. Planet Fitness in Westminster features a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, making it convenient for individuals with mobility challenges. However, some reviews highlight issues with staff behavior that contradict the welcoming atmosphere expected at such a facility.
Member Experiences
Many members appreciate the atmosphere of the gym, noting that it tends to be uncrowded and clean. For example, one long-time member shared that they have enjoyed their workouts over the past three years and find the machines to be new and well-maintained. The cleanliness of the showers also garnered positive feedback, although some users have expressed the need for additional amenities.
On the flip side, there have been reports of inconsiderate behavior by certain employees, particularly regarding handicap parking. One member recounted an incident involving an employee who parked in a designated handicap spot without proper justification, raising concerns about staff training on accessibility issues. Such experiences can undermine the inclusive environment Planet Fitness strives to create.
Planning Your Visit
For those considering membership at this location, planning your visit is crucial. The gym tends to be less crowded during off-peak hours, allowing for a more enjoyable workout experience without long wait times for equipment. Members often recommend going at times when the gym is less busy to maximize the quality of your workout.
Membership Benefits
Purchasing a membership at Planet Fitness provides access to various amenities, including hydro massage beds and total body enhancement machines, particularly beneficial for black card members. Many users find that these amenities add significant value to their membership, enhancing their overall experience.
Final Thoughts
In summary, while the Planet Fitness in Westminster, Colorado, offers accessibility, a generally friendly atmosphere, and valuable amenities, it is essential to remain aware of potential inconsistencies in service and maintenance. Prospective members should weigh the benefits of the facilities against the reported concerns to determine if this gym meets their fitness needs.

Dreadful new manager, I must say. A real tyrant, she is. Quite rude to the guests, and I wouldn't be shocked if she were rude to the staff as well. I canceled my membership due to her abysmal service and have informed my friends to do the same, and they will indeed. Who on earth hired such an incompetent manager, I wonder?
Theresa Hayes (6/16/25, 3:09 AM):
Some of their equipment appears to be in need of servicing/oiling. Unlike some other Planet Fitness locations, they lack benches or mirrors in the individual changing rooms, so you have to place your belongings on the floor. However, the staff at the front desk are quite friendly!
Johnny Baker (6/14/25, 5:22 PM):
The customer service at this gym is an absolute nightmare, and they don't seem to have any problem with taking your money even after you've terminated your membership. We recently discovered that they've been debiting our account since 2017 for a membership that we thought had been cancelled back then. They have a "strict policy" that the only way to obtain a refund is by presenting them with the cancellation letter, which we never received. Shouldn't they have that information on record? When we raised concerns about their unethical business practices, the manager (yes, THE MANAGER) actually swore at my husband, and now we're left with no way to recover the more than $1,000 they've charged us.
Brandon Miller (6/14/25, 1:31 PM):
They be postin' false deals claimin' to 'ave "no commitment" or "only 10 bucks for a month," but will keep chargin' ya after ya bought what ya did and 'ave no way to cancel. I asked for a one-time visit, and the employee told me to just pay for a month and there wouldn't be any more billin'. But as soon as the month was up, more bills and fees that I never agreed to and was never warned about showed up on me bank statement.
Update: even though Planet Fitness will try to use sneakily worded statements in their terms and services to scare ya outta yer money, those ain't legally binding. Contact yer bank, and they should be able to help ya get back any dodgy charges.

Absolutely love coming to work out at this gym, but I must say I'm a tad confused about the hours. Upon signing up, it was mentioned that this location operates 24/7. However, when I attempted a late-night session tonight, I found the doors shut. Are there specific days when you operate round the clock, or have I misunderstood something? Just seeking clarification, no complaints here. Thanks!
Mark Graham (6/11/25, 4:45 AM):
My favorite Planet Fitness in Colorado. The staff is super friendly and helpful, mate. The club is always clean and they have a solid variety and amount of equipment. It seems a lot less busy than other PF in the area, which is brilliant. Would highly recommend. My only complaint is that they don't have those newer style massage chair pods that they have at other clubs, you know?
Cynthia Lee (6/9/25, 7:54 AM):
I 'ad a 30 minute session pumpin' iron at the gym, mate.
Allison Jackson (6/9/25, 5:40 AM):
I've been a member for more than a year now. The gym is consistently tidy, never overcrowded, and the interior is lovely. The showers always have hot water, and the tanning rooms are immaculate. The bathrooms are consistently spotless as well. I truly adore my membership at Planet Fitness.
Jessica Myers (6/8/25, 10:07 PM):
"Judgement free zone" sounds more like the staff at any Planet Fitness are quite rude and judgmental. They openly criticize people as they pass by, unless they find them "attractive," in which case they abandon their posts to flirt with the guests. I cannot recommend this location at all.
Evelyn Scott (6/8/25, 3:55 PM):
Awesome workout, never too crowded. Has a cozy atmosphere.
Matthew Fisher (6/7/25, 1:42 AM):
I 'ave bin goin' to this PF location for about 2 months and I love it! First, the cleanliness is off the charts; employees are always seem cleanin', wipin' and vacuumin' floors. These days, that’s very appreciated. The layout is such where there is no overcrowding. There are 4 Smith machines; my personal favorite. Plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing. Staff is always ready and eager to 'elp, but also stay in the background and allow people to do their thing. Anytime I’ve 'ad questions, all employees, Charles, and Lisa especially, 'ave always been so eager to 'elp. The crowd is quite a blend; from fitness buffs to older people, to young people experimentin' with the gym life; everyone does their own thing and apart from one or two individuals, who definitely fit the term “muscle 'ead”, everyone is basically everyday people. I’ve been in those types of 'ardcore, intimidatin' gyms and this is definitely not it. If I 'ad to pick one thing I wish was different, and that isn’t easy, I wish they 'ad some more calf machines; a seated and a standin' calf raise machine. But really, that aside, PF 'as everything I could need in a workout facility: equipment, room, atmosphere, friendly and sincere staff, a blend of everyday people and superb cleanliness.
Mark Sullivan (5/29/25, 12:16 PM):
I absolutely adore my gym sessions at PF! The staff is simply fantastic, and I managed to complete my Circuit routine today with the weights set high, except for military presses. So proud of myself!
Kenneth Peterson (5/29/25, 6:32 AM):
This establishment used to be top-notch, but ever since the new manager Tommi took charge a few months ago, the gym has really gone downhill. She lacks the skills to properly handle guests and staff, and she can't even seem to remember to change the water filter, which has been overdue for over two weeks now. It's quite concerning that she has also been known to touch guests and their belongings over trivial matters. If she or anyone else dares to lay a finger on me at a Planet Fitness, I will not hesitate to take legal action and potentially acquire ownership of the gym in the process. Tommi, I urge you to brush up on your leadership skills by reading some books because there's a lot you need to learn about public relations and team building. And please, make sure to attend to the water filter this week—after all, if you can't manage something as simple as that, how can you be expected to lead a team? 😂🤣
Ryan Robinson (5/27/25, 9:40 PM):
The lad at the front desk was incredibly helpful. My lad popped in looking for a day pass to give it a go, we didn't realize I'd need to stick around since he's 14, but he sorted me out with my own day pass as well. Seeing as my son is enjoying it so much, I suppose I'll be signing up for a gym membership myself. It's a win-win for all involved, I reckon! Just the motivation I needed to get active and start working out.
Joshua Campbell (5/27/25, 5:09 AM):
This spot is quite lovely, although it's not particularly spacious. My only gripe, really, is that it can get rather crowded, making it tricky to snag a bench for free weights or the machine you're looking to use for a prompt workout. Also, not the staff's fault, but it seems no one bothers to wipe down the machines after use. If you swing by during off-peak hours, everything is splendid.
Allison Reyes (5/26/25, 3:49 AM):
The staff are lovely, and the place is usually quite tidy. The only issue is that some of the equipment has become very worn out and is in need of repair, and it has been like that for quite a while.
Edward Price (5/24/25, 1:07 PM):
Lawrence, the trainer, is a knowledgeable and caring bloke. He always takes the time to explain how and why we are doing an exercise.
His workouts are bloody challenging and focused. With his help, I feel that I will achieve my physical goals.
Walter Smith (5/21/25, 12:47 AM):
I 'ave been frequenting this gym for near on three years, mate. The gym is right tidy, never too packed.
The contraptions are top-notch and feel proper good.
I've visited a fair few other gyms in the past three years, and this one takes the cake, no doubt.
Lucy Reyes (5/20/25, 2:39 AM):
I would rate it four stars mainly due to the standards set by my Lakeside home club. The staff is excellent, and the equipment and locker rooms are in good condition. However, it doesn't quite measure up to Lakeside's standards.
Timothy James (5/19/25, 6:48 PM):
Top-notch Planet Fitness I've ever visited. The staff is super friendly and the place is always spotless.
