I had a rather unpleasant experience during my recent morning visit to this non-profit organization. Upon arrival, I was met with discourteous behavior from a young African-American lady sporting braids, who remarked that I didn't resemble my photo and shot me a disdainful glance. She continued to mutter disapprovingly as I headed towards the locker room.

Subsequently, as I proceeded to the pool and reached for a foam board provided by the facility for additional support, a young lifeguard with short, red hair and a pronounced Russian accent informed me that bringing the foam board into the pool was strictly prohibited, as they were intended solely for children's lessons. This policy seemed new to me, as I had done so on previous occasions without incident.

Furthermore, despite being a patron for nearly a year, I have consistently observed the presence of pink mold in the showers, which was disappointing.

In summary, interactions with the staff were marked by condescending attitudes, and I felt somewhat harassed while attempting to carry out basic tasks such as badging in or utilizing equipment.

It's a marvelous spot to exercise, swim, play tennis or even pickleball. One can easily achieve their daily 10k steps on the outdoor track or join a water aerobics or body pump class, and so much more! Additionally, they offer fantastic programs for both kids and grown-ups, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. 😊

I must say, this YMCA is truly the pits in all of America. The leadership leaves much to be desired, the facilities are in a dreadful state, and don't even get me started on the recreative activities (imagine no pickleball after 5pm simply because it's dark outside and they won't bother with the lights). The management team really ought to be brought to the attention of the National office. Anyone paying over $100 a month for membership here must have lost their marbles.

I do wish I could share a more upbeat update. Upon joining, I was drawn in by the state-of-the-art facilities and equipment at this organization. Regrettably, despite multiple attempts to seek guidance on utilizing the app-based equipment from the Wellness Center team (as initially promised during orientation), I have yet to receive even a return call. It's disheartening, but it seems I may have to reconsider my membership – there's little value in being a member if I'm unable to access the resources.

The loveliest folks in the MD/DC/VA region. Fantastic demeanor, and a marvelous outdoor pool available all year round. Enjoy the hot tub and sauna. A visit to the Y truly enhances every day!

Marvelous facility featuring 3 pools (outdoor pools remain open year-round as long as the temperature is above freezing), numerous exercise machine stations, a plethora of classes (some complimentary for members), top-notch tennis courts, a fantastic summer camp program for children, and much more.

Absolutely smitten with this YMCA. The gym is top-notch and conveniently just a stone's throw away from my abode. We bring the little ones to the indoor heated pool once a week, rain or shine. The variety of classes is splendid, with 3 dedicated studios. I've availed of the personal training sessions and have enrolled my children in private swim lessons. Additionally, there's a complimentary kids club where your little cherubs can frolic for 2 hours daily while you sweat it out. The recently revamped space is a sight to behold, bathed in natural light. And the best part? The price is unbeatable!

My chums and I forked out $25 per couple for admission, and we were under the impression we were under close observation from the get-go upon stepping foot in the premise. The employees seemed to have their eyes trained on our kiddos' every step, even though they were acting perfectly well-mannered. In contrast, other youngsters in the swimming area were getting lesser attention. The whole affair left a sour taste in our mouths, and we have no intentions of making a repeat visit. The price did not align with the quality we received, and the overall condition of the establishment was below par.

The facility is a bit grimy and could do with better upkeep. It's also a tad cramped considering the amount of people using it. The gym gets pretty crowded during peak hours.

I mainly stick around for the convenient location and access to the heated pools - they're the saving grace that keeps me coming back as a member.

The enrollment process may be simple, but canceling proves to be quite a hassle - it's not just a click away. The Y is great, yet improvements are needed in making suspensions and cancellations more straightforward to avoid appearing as unethical practices. It's likely not intentional, but this issue could lead many individuals to incur unnecessary expenses.

This gym is brilliant. The facilities are all new and made of top-notch materials. They've got a bit of everything here. I opted for this place instead of Equinox because the Bethesda location lacks a sauna or hot tub, and the other facilities seem similar — plus, the staff here are more laid-back and friendly.

I must say, quite pricey indeed! The facilities are top notch, but asking for 30 US dollars just for a day pass to utilize the dumbbells for a mere half-hour is quite exorbitant. I'd love to give more positive feedback, but it seems like the YMCA is really overcharging its patrons. I've been surveying various gyms in the vicinity, and day passes typically range between 10 and 20 bucks for gyms of comparable quality - some even fancier! I'll opt to join one of the nearby gyms instead. Due to the inflated entry fees, YMCA won't be getting my membership.

I must say, this non-profit organization has access to a total of 3 pools, with 2 of them indoors. They provide affordable classes for both adults and children, albeit described as mediocre. However, the facilities seem to be quite run down and overcrowded, making it feel expensive just for a simple workout.

While they excel in offering a variety of classes and accommodating swim lessons for kids, the overall disorganization and low-quality standards of this YMCA are major drawbacks. Issues like malfunctioning sound systems during children's dance performances, unreliable teachers, unresponsive customer service lines, and a lack of makeup classes only contribute to the disappointing experience.

Despite the friendly staff and decent equipment available, it is clear that improvements are needed in facility maintenance, website functionality, and overall management to warrant more than a 2-star rating.
