A fantastic spot to work out, catch up with your mates, and exercise together. The Y offers a plethora of fantastic programs to participate in. Silver Sneakers is an excellent initiative tailored for older adults.
Thomas Murphy (4/29/25, 11:47 PM):
A fantastic spot for some laps in the pool.
Danielle Ramos (4/28/25, 4:09 PM):
During my visit to the area, I decided to drop by for a mid-afternoon swim. The team was extremely helpful and ensured that students stayed in their designated part of the pool while I enjoyed my swim. The facility is on the older side, typical of many similar establishments, but it met my requirements perfectly.

After 20 years, it was grand to reconnect with some old mates at the spanking new YWCA fitness center in 2022, and now eagerly anticipating some favorable shifts post the recent Hanover YMCA merger... Also, both the Gettysburg/Hanover management swiftly responded and resolved various long-standing fitness member issues both via email and face-to-face...
Gloria Cruz (4/27/25, 4:27 PM):
Extremely helpful and accommodating staff. There is a myriad of activities to engage in at this establishment.
Harold Anderson (4/26/25, 7:54 PM):
Silver Sneakers for seniors is absolutely fantastic! They offer a complete gym experience with a wide variety of machines, bikes, and treadmills.
Daniel Powell (4/24/25, 11:09 AM):
It's absolutely daft that Gettysburg lacks a reasonably priced gym. Fifty quid to sign up and forty-five a month to exercise??? Are you promoting or demoting??
Terry Hall (4/22/25, 6:55 PM):
Plenty of exercise equipment, handball courts, an Olympic-sized pool, swim teams, lessons, and a wide variety of water exercise classes. A truly wonderful facility.
Helen Davis (4/22/25, 11:53 AM):
This YWCA looks absolutely splendid! The architecture is charming and the amenities are top-notch. The personnel were incredibly accommodating and courteous. I wholeheartedly endorse this YWCA for a delightful experience.
Karen Collins (4/22/25, 2:46 AM):
This YWCA is top-notch, mate! I highly recommend joining - the price is fantastic and the folks there are as friendly as can be.
Cheryl Scott (4/21/25, 5:48 PM):
Everyone was quite accommodating, informative, and welcoming.
William Butler (4/21/25, 5:38 AM):
I absolutely adore their pool, it's simply fantastic. I often spend time there with my mates.
Dylan Ramirez (4/19/25, 2:26 PM):
If you're looking to shell out $50 per month for limited equipment access, a perpetually malfunctioning hot tub, encounters with impolite staff, and a facility stuck in the past, this is the place for you.

I initially signed up to utilize the pool and the bikes. However, the cycle room is now kept under lock and key, only available during scheduled classes. Other forms of cardio are too strenuous on my joints, and the class timings don't align with my schedule. During a workout, I was reprimanded by an employee for breaking an undisclosed rule that wasn't posted anywhere. I was unceremoniously interrupted during yoga and scolded.

The weight section is incredibly outdated and rusty. It's simply not worth the investment.
Peter Hernandez (4/19/25, 1:28 PM):
I'm having trouble managing the hot tub properly. Limiting patrons to 15 minutes a day is not good management practice. Penalizing members is not the answer. I've been to spas all over the world and have never been restricted to just 15 minutes. Why bother changing into a swimsuit for such a short time? Hopefully, by closing the wet area down, they can resolve this issue.
William Myers (4/19/25, 5:40 AM):
Does anyone know if it will be closed during these days?
Riley Barnes (4/18/25, 5:03 PM):
The team at the gym are truly lovely 🙂 I adore visiting there for a great workout, it's just fantastic …
Allison Edwards (4/17/25, 10:22 AM):
The individuals responsible for overseeing the daycare fail to uphold a secure and welcoming setting for the children. The young child now feels apprehensive about attending school due to the lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff. Their behavior is deemed impolite and inconsiderate.
Amy Clark (4/17/25, 10:02 AM):
If there was a way to bestow this establishment with 0 stars, I most certainly would! I STRONGLY ADVISE against enrolling your little one in their daycare program!!!! Due to the safety concerns, lackluster administration, and subpar learning environment, it is in NO WAY suitable for a child, let alone a beloved pet!! I urge you to thoroughly research before considering this place for your child. I am utterly appalled by the standards here! It baffles me how they are still operational and permitted to look after children. Do NOT entrust the staff at this location with the care of your child. The administration is beyond inadequate! This establishment ought to be closed down immediately.
Diane Ford (4/14/25, 4:45 AM):
I used to enjoy swimming at this location, but now you can't swim without a membership or someone who accompanies you with a membership. It wouldn't be an issue if the memberships weren't over $100 and lasting for a year. I don't reside in this area and only visit occasionally, like at Easter, so this change is quite disappointing. I wish they hadn't altered their policy.
Alan Graham (4/11/25, 3:06 PM):
The YWCA has everything I desire. Spacious. Even on busy days (with children swimming and such), I never feel cramped. The staff is welcoming.
It's a shame to hear that they are merging with the YMCA. I wonder what will change. Will they still offer daycare services? What about classes for seniors?
