This here be the eldest of the 4 HRCA rec centers, and it does show its age. They've got all the basics you need and an indoor lap pool. The basketball and racquetball courts are usually quiet in the mornings, and you can usually snag one without needing to reserve in advance. It's a bit dim like some have mentioned, but I don't mind since there ain't much sunshine in the gym anyhow.

The crew here tends to be a bit standoffish, 'cept for the cleaning team. It feels like pullin' teeth to get a "good morning" outta the front desk crew. You can use anyone's ID card here, as the front desk folks can't seem to tear their eyes off the telly long enough to check you in properly. A bunch of older folks run the show at the counter, probably been there for ages and don't seem too keen on providin' decent service to guests.

Gear rentals are decent, but they don't open 'til lunchtime. This place sometimes feels like the forgotten gem in the HRCA lineup, but 'cause it's so close to home, I reckon it's my go-to gym. I know it ain't a glamorous gig, but a bit of mornin' cheer from the staff would surely make a world of difference for us folks.

Northridge underwent a major renovation last year, shifting the front main entry to the side of the building. The areas for weights, ellipticals, and cycling got new equipment, but the weight room remains too small. The indoor pool remains 25 meters long and caters to swimmers of all ages, offering lessons for different skill levels, competitive swimming, and Masters programs. The three outdoor pools are currently closed until summer. Tennis continues to be a popular activity with a variety of options available.

It's wonderful that HR provides this as a perk for residing in this place. The gym might be on the petite side, but the gear is consistently spotless and operational. The folks are all so amiable. It's fantastic for the whole family!

I absolutely adore visiting this place for a swim or a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Just a heads up, it's best to avoid the hours between 3 and 6 as that's when the youngsters take over the pool zone, making it rather noisy and bothersome. Seems like there's always some music playing there these days, including in the pool area.

Just a heads up, they don't always update their hours on Google correctly. You could arrive and find them closed despite Google saying they're open. Plus, you might encounter a bit of attitude from one of the staff members.

The sheriff, he was either terribly lazy or lacking in courage. In either case, it's quite impolite, I must say. I had stopped at this place with my dog, as one usually does. The parks tend to close at a certain hour, but truth be told, I wasn't aware of that detail. I was organizing my gear when all of a sudden he pulls up behind me and shines his headlights right at me. There I was, outside the car, waving, trying to make my presence known. I even attempted to shout out to inquire if he wanted me to leave, but no response came. So, I wrapped up what I was doing and decided to depart.

One would think the polite thing to do would be to at least say, "Excuse me, but the park is closed now. You'll have to vacate the premises." That's what I fully anticipated, you see.

I've invested a fair amount of money in lodging here, not to mention all the shopping I've done in the local stores, sometimes on a daily basis. So, I'd venture to say that I've contributed my due share of taxes.

Well, at least he didn't have his high beams on, I suppose.

Arguably the "darkest" of the Rec Centers. For some reason, windows were not included in this Rec Center as much as the other Highlands Ranch Rec Centers.

This Rec Center has big/plentiful indoor areas. Large outdoor Olympic swimming pool that the local Schools use for competitions.

I use the other Rec Centers more due to this one having a peculiar floor layout and being rather dim (meaning not a lot of sunlight in the exercise areas).

What a fantastic recreation center! Everything is spotless, with brand new cardio and weight machines. They really focus on keeping everything clean and sanitized, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Top-notch facilities all around!

Young gals and young women be dressing way too scandalous at the recreation center, if you ask me. There ought to be a proper dress code in place so that everyone shows some respect in their attire.
