Exploring RISE Indoor Sports Complex in Bermuda Run, North Carolina

RISE Indoor Sports is a premier sports complex located in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, offering an array of facilities for various sports enthusiasts. While the complex boasts impressive features and amenities, it is essential to consider the accessibility and overall experience for all visitors.

Accessibility Features

One of the notable aspects of RISE Indoor Sports is its wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the facility without barriers. Additionally, there is a wheelchair-accessible car park available, making it easier for individuals with mobility challenges to find parking close to the entrance.

Facility Overview

The facility is known for being clean and spacious, featuring eight indoor basketball courts and two indoor soccer fields. However, feedback from visitors indicates that during large events, such as wrestling and volleyball tournaments, the overall organization can falter. Many attendees have voiced concerns about the overwhelming crowd sizes and the management's inability to handle multiple events simultaneously, leading to congestion and confusion.

Parking Challenges

While RISE offers ample parking space, the situation can be tricky during busy weekends when numerous events overlap. Visitors often report having to pay for parking, which some find frustrating given the already high entrance fees associated with events. The additional cost for parking, especially in dirt lots requiring a hike to the center, tends to detract from the overall convenience of visiting the complex.

Restroom Facilities

Another recurring issue raised by attendees is the maintenance of restroom facilities. Complaints regarding overflowing toilets and limited servicing during peak times have been common, which not only affects visitor comfort but also raises concerns about cleanliness and hygiene within the venue.

Overall Experience

Despite these challenges, many visitors appreciate the high-quality gym equipment available at RISE Indoor Sports. The environment promotes a positive workout atmosphere, making it a worthwhile place for fitness enthusiasts. Nonetheless, the facility's layout has received mixed reviews, particularly regarding seating arrangements for spectators. Many have expressed disappointment in the inadequate seating, especially during crowded events where parents and attendees struggle to find a place to watch their loved ones compete.

Conclusion

RISE Indoor Sports Complex presents an exciting opportunity for athletes and sports families in Bermuda Run, North Carolina. With its focus on accessibility and extensive sports offerings, it aims to cater to a diverse audience. However, improvements in crowd management, restroom upkeep, and spectator seating could enhance the overall visitor experience at this busy sports hub.

My grandson plays indoor football here. When volleyball matches are taking place, it can be quite a challenge to make your way through all the rucksacks to reach the football field. Sitting on the bleachers to enjoy the game with your back turned to the volleyball courts is risky business. We've been struck several times. While I understand they aim to have multiple activities happening simultaneously, the arrangement of the complex leaves much to be desired.
Bruce King (6/15/25, 3:57 AM):
Depending on your purpose, it may be a delightful spot or not quite up to par. I frequent the establishment for Winter indoor soccer, and I must say our experience has been rather lackluster.

Although the facilities are top-notch, the design for indoor soccer is lacking. The fields are on the smaller side, with only curtains separating the 4 fields instead of solid walls. Spectator seating is available mainly near the hardwood courts, leaving much to be desired for the back fields.

Due to spacing constraints and the facility renting out fields to various leagues, there is a constant stream of players and families crossing through ongoing games. The facility seems indifferent, as these are not their leagues; they simply own the space.

While parking arrangements are well thought out, charging for parking during events pushes many to utilize the free parking at the neighboring Rise soccer facility, leading to several logistical challenges.

Nonetheless, the venue shines when it comes to basketball and volleyball, boasting a new floor and state-of-the-art equipment.

This sports complex is alright, but I reckon it's a bit too hyped up. Let me break it down for ya: they never have any soccer balls when I need 'em, and it wouldn't hurt to add a yoga room. There's definitely room for improvement in a lot of areas. Cheers!
Carol Parker (6/10/25, 1:24 AM):
Lovely establishment. My lad took part in an AAU tournament at this sports complex. Impeccably maintained and offering a plethora of affordable dining options in the food court section. This proves to be particularly crucial during AAU matches that can span the entire day.
Amanda Martin (6/8/25, 7:44 PM):
Rise Indoor Sports is a smashing, expansive athletic complex with resplendent wood floors. We had a cracking time today with 10 pickleball courts in full swing and a hundred enthusiasts getting stuck in. Can't wait to return for another round at this top-notch facility!
Dennis Harris (6/8/25, 5:32 PM):
What a right proper shindig they organized this past weekend at the sports complex. Top-notch entertainment and activities, I must say. Although, I did find the prices for snacks and grub a tad on the dear side.
Peter Myers (6/7/25, 4:56 AM):
We had a smashing time at our work gathering today at the sports complex. What a top-notch venue!
Janice White (6/4/25, 3:50 AM):
The seating situation is simply preposterous. One cannot comprehend how such a lavish sports complex could skimp on the bleachers, providing only the most diminutive and economical seating available. It's a constant struggle for parents to secure a spot to watch their children participate in games, which is truly absurd. The exorbitant fees charged for various amenities only add to the frustration of inadequate seating. It appears to be a blatant swindle, leaving patrons feeling deceived and dissatisfied with their experience.
Tyler Walker (6/4/25, 1:51 AM):
I must say, what a lovely establishment! I had the pleasure of attending a volleyball tournament there. Everything was so tidy and well-maintained. And let me tell you, the parking lot is absolutely massive!
Nancy Mitchell (6/4/25, 1:00 AM):
My family has been enjoying the sports facilities at this complex for years now. Both of my lads are keen basketball players, while my hubby is a dedicated soccer enthusiast.
Sharon Kim (6/1/25, 5:57 PM):
My grandson plays indoor football in this place. When volleyball matches are taking place, it becomes quite a challenge to navigate through all the sports gear bags to reach the football field. It can be hazardous to sit on the bleachers facing away from the volleyball courts as we have been struck several times. While I appreciate the effort to host multiple activities concurrently, the arrangement of the sports complex is not well-thought-out.
Eugene Nelson (6/1/25, 12:59 AM):
I had an absolutely smashing time at the sports complex. It's a jolly good place to visit, I must say. Cheers!
Gloria Gonzalez (5/31/25, 8:03 PM):
This sports complex is a fantastic spot for training, with a stellar staff and top-of-the-line MMA/wrestling facilities. Our team from Oklahoma, the Cowboy Wrestling Club, was graciously welcomed to use their gym. We are truly grateful for the hospitality shown by this establishment.
Dennis Cooper (5/31/25, 7:43 AM):
The staff at this sports complex is top-notch - always clean and super friendly!
Adam Myers (5/27/25, 7:10 PM):
Oh, blimey! You park up, pay your dues, and BOOM! You're in! It's like stepping into a sports paradise. Inside that building, you've got pretty much every sport under the sun - well, except football, of course.
Denise Garcia (5/27/25, 4:47 AM):
My child 'as been rudely addressed by parents on numerous occasions, yet no action 'as been taken! The bobbies were right there, for goodness sake!
Mary Parker (5/26/25, 2:04 AM):
The officiating is absolutely dreadful! It's disappointing to see just anyone being a referee. You invest a significant amount of money expecting top-notch service, only to have individuals who are not up to par calling the shots.
Michelle Jordan (5/25/25, 6:34 PM):
Fantastic facilities! The indoor space is absolutely massive and impeccably organized. We attended two gymnastics competitions here and were thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness and smooth running of everything.
Juan Perez (5/24/25, 5:18 AM):
I had the pleasure of meeting a fantastic doctor at the sports complex. I received a knee injection and he was incredibly caring. Although the location is a bit off the beaten path and in a quirky spot, it's situated in a lovely area in Advance. Definitely worth seeking out.
Mia Parker (5/24/25, 4:17 AM):
I reckon they ought not switch it to a park, mate. Seems a bit cheeky to me, ya know? People already shelling out 20 to 35 quid just to catch the games. Just sayin'.
