Exploring RISE Indoor Sports Complex in Bermuda Run, North Carolina

RISE Indoor Sports is a premier sports complex located in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, offering an array of facilities for various sports enthusiasts. While the complex boasts impressive features and amenities, it is essential to consider the accessibility and overall experience for all visitors.

Accessibility Features

One of the notable aspects of RISE Indoor Sports is its wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the facility without barriers. Additionally, there is a wheelchair-accessible car park available, making it easier for individuals with mobility challenges to find parking close to the entrance.

Facility Overview

The facility is known for being clean and spacious, featuring eight indoor basketball courts and two indoor soccer fields. However, feedback from visitors indicates that during large events, such as wrestling and volleyball tournaments, the overall organization can falter. Many attendees have voiced concerns about the overwhelming crowd sizes and the management's inability to handle multiple events simultaneously, leading to congestion and confusion.

Parking Challenges

While RISE offers ample parking space, the situation can be tricky during busy weekends when numerous events overlap. Visitors often report having to pay for parking, which some find frustrating given the already high entrance fees associated with events. The additional cost for parking, especially in dirt lots requiring a hike to the center, tends to detract from the overall convenience of visiting the complex.

Restroom Facilities

Another recurring issue raised by attendees is the maintenance of restroom facilities. Complaints regarding overflowing toilets and limited servicing during peak times have been common, which not only affects visitor comfort but also raises concerns about cleanliness and hygiene within the venue.

Overall Experience

Despite these challenges, many visitors appreciate the high-quality gym equipment available at RISE Indoor Sports. The environment promotes a positive workout atmosphere, making it a worthwhile place for fitness enthusiasts. Nonetheless, the facility's layout has received mixed reviews, particularly regarding seating arrangements for spectators. Many have expressed disappointment in the inadequate seating, especially during crowded events where parents and attendees struggle to find a place to watch their loved ones compete.

Conclusion

RISE Indoor Sports Complex presents an exciting opportunity for athletes and sports families in Bermuda Run, North Carolina. With its focus on accessibility and extensive sports offerings, it aims to cater to a diverse audience. However, improvements in crowd management, restroom upkeep, and spectator seating could enhance the overall visitor experience at this busy sports hub.

Lovely establishment, popped in for a volleyball tournament. Immaculately clean and well-ordered. The car park is absolutely massive!
Roy Morales (5/19/25, 7:13 PM):
With 1200 wrestlers and only 500 parking spaces, the event got off to a late start, leaving limited seating for spectators to enjoy the matches.
Chloe Nguyen (5/18/25, 6:13 PM):
What a fantastic spot to train, the staff were absolutely brilliant and the mma/wrestling facilities are truly first-rate. Our team from Oklahoma had the pleasure of using their gym, and the Cowboy Wrestling Club is immensely grateful for the warm welcome we received at this establishment.
Benjamin Ross (5/15/25, 3:07 PM):
This is a great spot to bring your mates and loved ones to!
Keith Hill (5/14/25, 6:02 AM):
This sports complex is absolutely spotless and incredibly spacious! It's a fantastic venue.
Mark Perez (5/12/25, 11:47 PM):
The parking situation between Rise and the soccer fields is absolutely dreadful. We are in dire need of an additional entrance to alleviate this issue. I sincerely hope that I never have to endure such a frustrating experience again.
Joe Lewis (5/11/25, 7:51 PM):
My family has been enjoying sports at this venue for many years now. My lads are keen on basketball, and my hubby is quite the soccer enthusiast.
Jeremy Reyes (5/11/25, 5:33 AM):
This sports complex is absolutely brilliant!
Debra Flores (5/9/25, 1:42 PM):
Spacious area, yet quite overwhelming with all the activities happening simultaneously.
Louis Walker (5/7/25, 8:02 PM):
Great spot for basketball games. The staff were really friendly and helpful, shoutout to Izzy and Mary for their exceptional service. Big thanks!
Dylan Bennett (5/7/25, 7:32 AM):
The air conditioning system doesn't function very well. There are far too many events happening simultaneously, leading to overcrowding, heat, and a lack of seating or space to place a chair. It seems like a major drain on finances. The restroom facilities were out of order, forcing my child to use the bathroom near the dumpster. The entrance was blocked by police barricades. What a disappointing venue. There is no internet available, and the cell phone reception is poor for everyone, with no wifi access. The food service is managed by inexperienced individuals who struggle with basic math, resulting in excessively long queues. Signs prohibiting outside food are prominently displayed, yet their own offerings were unsatisfactory.
Teresa Kim (5/7/25, 7:23 AM):
The basketball program at this sports complex is way too expensive and poorly managed. The parking fees are absurd, and it's chaos with people parking wherever they please, even in the fire lanes making it a nightmare to navigate through. Major improvements are necessary.
Kathryn Perry (5/7/25, 5:55 AM):
I absolutely adored the ample space surrounding each court, allowing for perfect visibility of your child's game from any angle. The parking facilities were vast and convenient; however, I found it somewhat disappointing to have to pay a daily parking fee during my attendance at the 3-day tournament.
Jordan Turner (5/6/25, 6:16 AM):
The parking situation between Rise and the soccer fields is absolutely dreadful. We require an additional entrance urgently. I sincerely trust that I won't ever have to return.
Joseph Campbell (5/5/25, 7:23 PM):
What a fantastic facility in a prime location! There are numerous basketball courts to choose from, along with indoor soccer options. And let's not forget the abundance of outdoor soccer fields that seem to be in use every single weekend (I may be exaggerating slightly). This is definitely my go-to spot for basketball 🏀.
Betty Garcia (5/5/25, 3:42 PM):
It's not too bad. The gym is pretty decent, but the scoreboards are positioned on the floor which can be quite challenging to see. This often leads to a bit of drama when folks struggle to keep up with the scores.
Patricia Kim (5/2/25, 7:26 PM):
I reckon they shouldn't switch it up to a park, mate. It seems like they're trying to milk the fans who come to see the games. I mean, you're already shelling out 20 to 35 quid just to get in. Just saying. Cheers
Victoria Robinson (5/2/25, 7:19 AM):
Reasonable basketball tournament venue. Unpleasant metal bleacher seating, though.
Karen Lee (4/30/25, 9:51 AM):
Decent spot, but a tad pricey if you ask me. Might be best to steer clear for upcoming gymnastics meets. Parking's a bit tight and there's not too many seats available.

Had to fork out $5 for parking and it was a struggle to find a spot. Then we coughed up $60 (for 2 grown-ups and 1 kiddo) to catch a glimpse of our daughter's gymnastics routine, only to discover there's not much seating around.

And as if that wasn't enough, they don't allow you to bring in your own snacks after making us pay through the nose.
Louis Sullivan (4/28/25, 8:08 PM):
Superb female wrestling tournament hosted at this venue. The arrangement of mats could've been a tad more efficient, and the organization of parking could've been improved. Here's hoping that next year sees upgrades in these aspects.
