What a splendid spot for a workout and a dip in the pool, I must say.

Wonderful fitness centre! A lovely interior, handy café, pristine showers, massage, pilates, gym, racquetball, pool, dry spa, steam spa, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, weights, aerobics and weight machines, guest access for a fee.

The pool area is spotless, the locker area is massive, the hot tubs are pristine, and the staff is very welcoming.

It ain't no Equinox, mate, but a proper all-around gym with a top-notch suburban crowd. The basketball courts are the real highlight, and the staff and café are quite accommodating.

The absolute best athletic club in the East Bay. Plenty of equipment and classes plus a massive pool and basketball courts. The staff are attentive and helpful. If you stay until closing time, you will see an energetic cleaning crew maintain a level of cleanliness I have not seen in a club before. Yes, it costs more, yet offers so much that I consider it a bargain.

I absolutely adore this place. Similar to many others, I was hesitant about the joining process, fees, and waitlists, but it turned out to be quicker than expected and completely worth it. My family used to go to another larger gym nearby for years, but now that we have kids, we needed a different childcare option. Our oldest didn't enjoy the childcare at our previous gym, and they would call me to come get her every time I tried to work out. Both of my kids love the Oakwood childcare here, aged 11 months and 3 years. My youngest has been attending since she was just 4 months old. The staff is friendly and well-trained. There's a reservation system in place, but there are usually available slots, ensuring the area isn't too crowded and the kids are safe and well looked after.

The gym itself is immaculately clean and well-maintained, with all equipment always in working order. Any out-of-order signs are swiftly taken down. Even during busy periods, it never feels overwhelming or noisy. The classes are fantastic, albeit slightly fewer in number, they are high-quality and less crowded. The pool area is also clean and inviting.

The locker rooms are impeccably clean, with constant cleaning and restocking efforts. The steam room and sauna are wonderful amenities. They can get busy during peak hours, but there's ample space for everyone to spread out comfortably.

The food offered is delicious, and new items are regularly added. It's quick, healthy, and reliable.

Wifi is available and works seamlessly. Many visitors utilize the great hall as a makeshift home office between workouts.

So, while I acknowledge that this place might not suit everyone, if you're intrigued, it's definitely worth the wait.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon. I simply can't believe one of your employees at the pool area who serves as a lifeguard was chatting on the phone and strolling around the premises barefoot. Most unprofessional behavior. It seemed like he was more into lounging and soaking up the sun than actually working. I witnessed this twice already. This incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, 06/25/2023.

I've been a member at this establishment for more than a dozen years now. I've tried out various high-end health clubs across the Bay Area, but this one truly stands out as the best. Although I have heard positive things about the "O" club in SF. The Bay Club is decent but tends to be overly crowded. The Big C in Concord is pleasant, but it doesn't quite match up in terms of the quality of staff and members, plus the basketball gym isn't full court. I would say this place is still a step or two ahead of the SF Bay Sports Clubs, especially when it comes to privacy and peacefulness. The staff here is exceptional and always attentive to your needs. The management here truly takes feedback into account.
