Awful experience. The folks at the front desk of this gym are rather rude and seem a tad superior, or they might just flat out ignore you altogether. It's as if they see you as replaceable. After having had my fill of their dishonesty and being hit with unexpected fees (time and time again), I decided to dispute the latest charge on my bank account. Then, I made my way to the gym in person to cancel (because apparently, you can't cancel over the phone) and requested a refund for the most recent charge (in hopes of retracting the complaint I'd just filed with the bank). Much to my dismay, I was informed that they typically handle such matters through the bank. If part of their business strategy involves consistently dealing with bank claims, I'm uncertain how they manage to stay afloat. This gym claims to be welcoming, but all they really do is offer a disapproving gaze.

We made the switch to Axiom last October after being longtime members of what was formerly the Idaho Athletic Club, now Crunch Fitness for 14 years. It was tough saying goodbye to IAC, but with new ownership came a lot of negatives at the once fantastic gym. Being a standout fitness facility in Idaho must be quite challenging due to limited options, sparse locations, and a high demand for workout spaces. In my view, Axiom on Fairview doesn't necessarily stand out, but it does offer a wide range of workout equipment choices. Even during peak times, usually post New Year around 5 p.m., I can still manage to get a workout in without too much hassle. Surprisingly, the facilities remain relatively clean considering the number of people using them at any given time. If you can snag a $20 monthly membership, it’s a good spot to break a sweat. I can't vouch for their other locations, though.

I'm just wrapping up 3 months of personal training with Ben and it's been jolly helpful in keeping me on track with my fitness goals. The chap has been smashing at showing me the ropes on proper lifting techniques and exercises, preventing me from picking up any bad habits.
The gym itself is always spick and span, and manages the daily hustle and bustle rather well by having ample equipment available. Rarely do I find meself waiting around for a machine, and if I do, it's only a jiffy.
The membership fee I'm paying is spot on for what I'm getting out of it! Top-notch gym, I must say.

Outstanding establishment for the price. The pool is impeccably maintained. Most importantly, it's open at night during the week for those of us with nocturnal schedules!
They offer a one-week trial, so it's definitely worth giving it a go.
They really push the idea of purchasing a personal trainer. Some folks might be put off by that. For some individuals, a personal trainer will be incredibly beneficial, while for others, it may not be. I wish they offered a trial session with a trainer like they do with memberships. Another complaint I have is that there have been a few instances where something seems off with a machine, like the belt on a treadmill or something.

I 'ave 'ad nothin' but a great experience at this gym, their staff, and at all four locations. The personal training program is clearly explained if you are interested before you sign up.
Seein' comments from others with negative experiences, all the information is online, including classes and specific amenities at each location. I 'ad no trouble answerin' my own questions. I'm sure you can tour the locations before you sign up for membership, do your own research and be your own advocate before you buy somethin'.
Of course, there's a busy period in the early evenin', that is true with any popular gym. Even at the busy times, I 'ave no trouble findin' a space to work, everyone is very friendly and willin' to share.

It used to be Axiom, but then Villa Spot took over and gave it a makeover. They've made the space brighter, more open, and can fit more people without it feeling cramped. However, they still haven't sorted out the badly marked parking spaces, and they've put up new rules on the walls that weren't in my original contract.

I don't reside in Boise, but I frequent the city a couple times per month for the weekends. I was keen on finding a gym close to my in-laws' residence, and this one happened to be part of my Wells On Target gym membership. Upon entering, I had a chat with Troy Cleveland who promptly got me all set up. He walked me through the various amenities available at the gym. It was a fantastic initial customer experience. I'll certainly be suggesting this gym to others down the road.

We was in town for work for a week and wanted a place to get our workout on. The folks at Axiom were absolutely brilliant. They treated us like royalty! The facility is massive with all the gear you could want for lifting, cardio, or functional fitness. They even have a pool and a full basketball court. All the front desk staff were super friendly and Craig was top-notch.

One of the main reasons we joined this gym was for the Pool. However, after several months of going, we have seen multiple people slip and fall due to the lack of mats and floor protection in the pool area. These floors pose a serious risk to everyone and could lead to a potential lawsuit. Even though I took personal precautions, I still slipped and injured my hip. When I approached the gentleman who appeared to be in a managerial position rather than a regular employee, I received a rude response of "The mats stay where they are." He did not offer any reassurance or attempt to discuss the issue with me. It's worth noting that an ambulance had just taken away a lady, and another employee mentioned there were no grip mats in the sauna. I don't know the name of the unhelpful gentleman, but I do have a photo of him. The floors are clearly unsafe, and action needs to be taken. An elderly woman in her 60s-80s also slipped and fell. This is not how you should treat loyal customers who visit daily. Please address the safety concerns with the floors.

My missus, and a lot of other ladies I'm acquainted with who have been patrons, never feel at ease in that place. It has a certain ambiance of a pickup scene, and many women I know tend to feel like they're being eyeballed when they walk in - lots of staring and suchlike. I had been a member of Axiom for around 3 years, but upon their reopening after the COVID-19 closure, I didn't feel like they were really prioritizing physical distancing. I decided to cancel my membership and join a different gym.

Looking quite fine aesthetically, but experiencing some setbacks during workouts. Many machines showing incorrect heart rates leading to resistance fluctuations during cardio sessions. Internet connection not strong for streaming videos, works ok for music. Basketball courts currently closed. Hot tub, pool, steam room, and sauna have different cleaning hours than listed. Caffeine pills advertised as weight loss supplements. Workout and spa routines often interrupted by staff maintenance.
Given the rates charged, I expected amenities to be superior to 24 Hour Fitness, with accurate and honest posted signs. Unmentioned costs like the 60-day fee are not disclosed on website or flyers. Having been a member of premier clubs in Wheaton, Illinois, Fort Collins, Colorado, and Flagstaff, Arizona, I'm surprised by the lack of transparency.
Update: the following day, the hot tub is out of order. Front desk unaware of the issue or how to fix it, suggests calling beforehand to check amenity availability. Erroneously posted cleaning hours now replaced with membership termination threats if sensors are adjusted, yet new hours remain unposted. Feels like a breach of the signed contract which outlines available amenities for paying members, yet these amenities are not accessible.

Ah, what a splendid array of equipment and me experiences with the staff 'ave mostly been quite positive, I must say. The complaints about the gym smellin' like sweat and such are absolute poppycock. It's a gym, not a day spa, after all. People go there to work out and build up a sweat, it's only natural. And as for the talk of the staff bein' racist, well, that's complete balderdash. In all me time there, the staff 'ave always treated everyone with respect, no doubt about that.
However, there are a few matters that I do wish would be addressed, if I may say so.
1. It does tend to get rather warm in there, which can be quite a hindrance to 'aving a proper workout. It could do with better air circulation, and perhaps keepin' it a tad cooler wouldn't go amiss.
2. It seems that when a machine breaks down, it often takes far too long to get it fixed. There was this one contraption that kept droppin' the weight stack mid-lift because the plate the catch went into was worn. I 'ad to report this two or three times before it was even looked at, let alone repaired.
3. The hours, dear me. This gym ought to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, not just Monday through Thursday. The early closin' on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday makes it tricky to fit in a proper workout schedule.
All in all, 'tis a fine, sturdy gym with a grand selection of equipment and facilities. I'd give it the fifth star if it were open 24/7 and if the temperature were kept a bit cooler to make up for the lack of air circulation, what do you reckon?

The revamp of the pool area is quite lovely, although it wouldn't have hurt to invest a few more pounds and execute it properly, rather than taking shortcuts. Also, it seems that the pressure in the steam room needs adjusting. The noise it makes when releasing steam is reminiscent of a 200 psi compressor, excessively loud to the extent of potentially causing auditory harm, and frankly, entirely excessive.

The gym is alright, just your typical average gym. The major gripe I have is with how they deal with cancelling memberships. The staff at the front desk seem to know what they're talking about, but keep giving me the wrong information. One day they say my membership won't renew at the end of the month, the next day they tell me I have to come in. The whole process of cancelling with all the hoops and sneaky fees feels like a cliche from those massive gym chains. The word "slimy" is the only way to sum up this business.

I was a member for two years. The only reason I am giving them a two-star rating is because of the customer service. I canceled my membership in April/May over the phone as I moved away from Idaho and they said it was a done deal and wished me luck. A few months later, I received a message from their general manager, Joseph, saying I never canceled? Also, that I am being sent to collections?! Why punish me for a mistake your team made? I reached out to them via email to resolve the issue and they never got back to me. Honestly, I am super disappointed at the lack of accountability, responsibility, and ownership here. When I move back at some point, I will not be renewing my membership here.

While there be a grand selection o' equipment, much be worn and not in top shape. There be tears in some of the gear that hasn't been fixed in over a month now. Overall, the management be doin' a dreadful job maintainin' the gym. There be plenty o' weightliftin' gear, but they be cryin' out fer more weights. Because o' all them things above and many more I shan't delve into, I've canceled after only a month at the gym. For some strange reason, it'll take two months for me cancellation to take effect. Essentially, if ye be wantin' a clean, friendly place to work out, ye'd be wise to seek elsewhere.
In response to the question 'bout needin' more weights, I be referrin' to the necessity for more plates. When ye be needin' 6 or 8 plates, ye have to be scourin' the place to find 'em. Arrr!

The best gym, hands down! The employees are absolutely lovely. I'm always greeted warmly when I arrive and leave. The gym is immaculately clean, the weights are organized, and the overall atmosphere is incredibly inviting. And if you have little ones, they provide top-notch childcare with the most delightful staff! Trust me, it's worth every penny!

When I was inquiring about which gym to join, Axiom kept coming up as the top choice. I decided to take a tour and was truly impressed by what I saw for the price. I've been a member for two weeks now and have been going every day. The facility is impeccably clean, with well-maintained weights and equipment. There are no worn-out seats or anything of the sort. The locker room and showers are also spotless. The staff is incredibly friendly and cool. Definitely money well spent!
