What a brilliant Gym. So pristine and with a lovely atmosphere. I was a bit apprehensive about signing up for a gym, as I wasn't in the best shape and carrying some extra weight. However, I've been made to feel so welcome and supported here. My health has really improved and I genuinely look forward to my weekly visits. Members come in all ages, sizes, shapes, races, and abilities. It feels so inclusive and creates such a positive environment.

Absolutely dreadful experience, with a staff that's clearly unprofessional and rude. The organizational culture is abysmal. Gym is unsafe due to broken equipment. Scarcity of towels in the pool area is a constant issue. Windy conditions leave the kids freezing without towels. Paying a hefty monthly fee only to be treated like a doormat. No, thank you!

LIFE CAFE

There is much to be desired about the Life Cafe staff's attitude, I must say. I believe the staff members could benefit from a Customer Service course, at the very least. It is not professional for employees to bring their personal issues to work.

This is what you get for $170 a month. This gym should be utterly ashamed. From the staff with a superiority complex, to the shoddy equipment in disrepair, to the absolutely revolting locker rooms. What an absolute farce.

I recently became a member of the club last week and had two fantastic experiences: Pilates with Leslie and a facial with Elise. Leslie is one of the most seasoned pilates instructors I've encountered in the past year, spanning two cities; she provided meticulous observations and key adjustments. Leslie was the one who truly convinced me to join. As for Elise, she delivered the best facial experience I've ever had: comprehensive, well-informed, and expertly executed. Things are looking promising so far!

When I arrived at Life Spa, this short-haired Russian girl couldn't assist me in ordering a hair product, and asked me to return another time! Are you absolutely certain?
Upon my second visit, there was no one at the counter. I waited for quite some time, growing disheartened at the thought of waiting any longer, and eventually left.

I decided to give them one last chance. As I browsed the products, I overheard one employee bullying another at the spa. Particularly, this large gentleman was targeting this small Asian girl. The way they were interacting was quite distressing.
Are the staff at this spa not properly trained to conduct themselves with professionalism and respect? Hello, can someone please appear and assist me in purchasing some products?

I didn't receive proper attention, respect, or acknowledgment from any of the employees there!

Lifetime Fitness Flatirons has an absolutely dreadful policy when it comes to visitor passes. My daughter is visiting home for spring break and wishes to swim with me. The first visit was fine as I used one of my two monthly guest passes for her. However, the second time she wanted to swim with me (on the last day of March) I was informed by the desk staff that the same individual cannot be a guest within 30 days or else there is a $30 fee to enter the club.

As a result, my daughter was unable to exercise at a facility that primarily targets members, I wasted my second guest pass as the month expired, and the desk staff provided no alternative solution for my daughter to work out. They could have offered a complimentary day pass, as indicated on their website. They could have informed me that the policy would be enforced next time and wished my daughter a pleasant swim. But no. My daughter was turned away, and I find it unreasonable to be charged $30 for a brief swim and a shower, amounting to 30% of my MONTHLY membership fee.

This incident showcases a failure in customer service by Lifetime Fitness. It's the perfect anecdote for me to share with anyone who will lend an ear. Lifetime Fitness seems to hold its product in excessively high regard by charging $30 for a visitor workout.

My grandaughter loves the swimming therapy at this place. It's a fantastic facility with a variety of activities to offer. There are three different pools, a well-equipped workout area with new and clean machines. I've also spotted a Zumba class, a climbing wall, a café, and many more amenities that I'm sure I haven't discovered yet!
Bobby Hill (4/29/25, 1:07 AM):
I cannot really rate Lifetime, however, I used to frequent this place and was a member when it was Lakeshore Athletic Club. It was always kept very tidy, and I particularly enjoyed the complimentary towel service. The personal training staff were top-notch, with degrees in Exercise Physiology and professional certifications. Given my own degree in Human Performance and Health Promotion, I appreciate the value of well-qualified trainers.

I also enrolled my preschool-aged daughter in their kids' program where they had structured exercise activities, allowing me to focus on my workout. The pool was fantastic, and on my days off, I would relax there with other moms while my daughter played with her peers. The dining area was a lively spot to enjoy tea or a snack with friends post-workout. While I'm unsure if the climbing wall still exists, my daughter absolutely adored it.
Christina Hamilton (4/28/25, 8:39 AM):
This establishment is absolutely brilliant. Top-notch equipment. The design is logical. The changing room is ample. The team is fantastic and it remains open until 11. The management is smart enough not to schedule a class during peak times that will hog all the squat racks for 2 hours, thus not showing favoritism towards one member over another. This should be the premier Lifetime gym. It truly is a luxurious experience.
Willie Johnson (4/27/25, 6:57 PM):
I absolutely adore the classes at this gym and the whole workout ambiance. The staff is just fantastic!
Kyle Hernandez (4/25/25, 4:06 AM):
I've been to two of their gyms, the one in Broomfield where I'm a regular member, and the one in Westminster. Both have well-trained, friendly staff, a wide range of well-maintained equipment, clean locker rooms, and fantastic indoor and outdoor pools. In my opinion, they stand head and shoulders above any other similar athletic clubs in the area.
Catherine Alexander (4/24/25, 9:51 PM):
I absolutely adore this spot, it's incredibly well-kept and efficiently run. The personal trainers are top-notch, especially Esteban for core workouts! The sauna here reaches temperatures that I quite fancy... none of that lukewarm business you find elsewhere. The keyless lockers, lotion, and hair spray are just some of the self-grooming amenities available here.
Sara Lopez (4/24/25, 5:41 AM):
It's a lovely gym, but I must say I was quite let down by the weight options. The dumbbells are only in 5 lb increments (other places have them in 2.5 lb increments), and there aren't any little weight adapters for the cable stations (such as lat pulldowns), which go up in 10 lb increments. How is someone of petite stature (especially females) meant to have an effective workout where they can challenge themselves? These are easy fixes to make to cater to all.
Layla Gonzalez (4/21/25, 11:16 AM):
I used to be a member of Lakeshore Athletic Club for a few years until Life Time took over the gym. When I received the email about the acquisition, I was absolutely thrilled. I had been a Life Time member before, but when I moved, this was the closest option available to me. Lakeshore was really neglecting the place – considering the amount I was paying, the lack of upkeep was shocking. All I can say is WOW! Life Time did a fantastic job renovating the club, and I finally feel like I'm getting my money's worth. I work out early in the morning and have access to pretty much everything I need. The locker rooms are stunning! While I haven't had the chance to join any classes yet, if they meet the Life Time standard, I'm sure they're amazing. It's true, this club is pricey. It's a high-end gym. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly. When Lakeshore ran the gym, the front desk lady looked like she had just rolled out of bed and wasn't pleased to be there. But this morning, I was greeted by a cheerful, freshly showered team member with a big smile on their face. You really do get what you pay for! I would highly recommend it.
Edward Simmons (4/18/25, 7:20 PM):
The gym experience itself is quite good, but I must say, the aquatic department is rather dreadful! So, we took advantage of the gym membership’s offer of a free month trial for swimming classes for our kid. Little did we know that canceling the classes was no straightforward matter. It turns out, enrolling in the free trial automatically signs you up for ongoing payments without much clarity on this arrangement. They claim to have sent an email about it, but I don’t recall ever agreeing to such terms. To top it off, they flat-out refused to issue any refunds even though my child never attended another class!

Lifetime is the one charging me, yet when I reached out to them, they shifted the blame to the aquatic department, suggesting they have no authority in the matter. This situation leaves me questioning if the aquatic section is truly part of Lifetime or just a separate entity with shared billing access. It feels as though Lifetime simply handed over my details and credit card information, allowing these charges to be processed monthly.

All in all, this appears to be a lack of responsibility on their part. Despite their steep fees, the billing procedures are shoddy at best. Information is convoluted, and it seems like they’re attempting to deceive and profit off unsuspecting customers.

My advice? Steer clear of their swimming classes, and I wouldn’t recommend signing up for their regular gym either. You never know when they might sneak in some extra charges for services you never requested or approved.
Samuel Ross (4/16/25, 3:59 PM):
I gave it five stars because it does what it's trying to be very well. I personally would prefer it to have a bit more grit and less of a spa-like feel, but that's their vision. It offers all the essentials and more. Excellent gym, great staff (for personal training, I recommend Josh Van Time, he's been a huge help and really knowledgeable), fantastic amenities.
Patricia Evans (4/16/25, 11:05 AM):
PROs: The main gym area is kept clean (although the locker rooms could use improvement), it is not overly crowded, there is a hot tub available, a fantastic lying hamstring curl machine, as well as a spacious downstairs area for walking lunges or sled push/pull with several squat racks.

CONs: The staff can come across as lifeless and unnecessarily arrogant. The gym is on the smaller side with only one set of each machine (compared to 2 or more at other Life Time locations in the Denver area). The atmosphere may be perceived as dull and unwelcoming, and the locker rooms are not up to standard with towels, paper towels, hair, and cotton swabs on the floor.

RECOMMENDATION: I suggest trying out the Parker or Westminster locations instead. They have a much friendlier staff and clientele, offer more lifting equipment, are cleaner, and provide better value for your monthly dues.
Cynthia Russell (4/13/25, 7:01 PM):
Life Time provides a high-end fitness experience featuring cutting-edge amenities, a variety of exercise classes, and a friendly atmosphere. The pristine, expansive setting and knowledgeable instructors create an ideal environment for reaching your health and wellness objectives.
Bryan Williams (4/13/25, 6:36 PM):
I'm eagerly anticipating my gluteus max out class with Courtney every Wednesday. I've been participating in this class for around three months now and have noticed a significant difference! Courtney manages to make the class enjoyable, informative, and welcoming. Although the membership fee is a bit steep, if you take advantage of the other amenities like the included classes, sauna/steam room, pools, and more, then it's definitely worth it. The location adds to its value too! Additionally, they offer feminine products in the restroom and keep everything impeccably clean. The staff at the front desk always greet me by name as if we've been friends for ages, even though I've only been here for a few months. Five stars from me!!
