This Gym is absolutely brilliant! It's a bit of a trek for me to get there, but it's totally worth it. The Staff are top-notch, the facility is lovely and spotless. I thoroughly enjoy working out here. The sauna room is my absolute favorite thing about this place! 🧖🏽♀️ ✨

As a fitness enthusiast and professional, I must say this gym is quite impressive. It’s certainly larger than the Van Nuys branch. I'm acquainted with the manager, Angel, from that establishment, and he's genuinely a great guy. The private gym, dance studio, and diverse range of equipment available are all fantastic features. The only downside for me is the tendency for some individuals to stare - it's meant to be a non-judgmental space, after all. I reckon the staring comes from a lack of experience on their part. If you're seeking a place to get in shape and exercise, this gym is worth checking out.
Dylan Ramos (6/12/25, 5:35 AM):
I signed up for the gym during Covid when everything was online, and as soon as LA Fitness reopened, I started going there because it has always been my gym of choice. I continued to pay for a while just in case of another lockdown. However, now that I have moved to a different state, Crunch is still charging me. I have tried calling and emailing them, but I have received no help whatsoever in resolving this issue. It's really frustrating and a headache because I am unable to go there in person to cancel my account.
Judy Kim (6/11/25, 3:20 PM):
I would strongly advise against considering membership at this gym! This particular establishment ranks among the least optimal choices for a fitness center. Despite having not set foot inside these premises, I found myself inexplicably enrolled with a membership that I never personally approved, subsequently leading to a referral to collections. Following the involvement of law enforcement and a two-month investigation, it was determined that the General Manager, Angel, had engaged in identity theft and fraud by forging my signature and utilizing a counterfeit credit card under my name.
Efforts to settle this matter with both the GM and the gym were met with silence until the day he faced legal consequences (two months later). Regrettably, the lack of accountability extended beyond the GM, encompassing the uncooperative District Manager as well. The gym refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing directly to me, only cooperating with the detective involved.
I urge you to peruse other reviews detailing how this establishment traps individuals into contracts and creates arduous termination processes. This gym epitomizes a subpar fitness experience and squanders your hard-earned finances. I highly recommend exploring 24 Hour Fitness in Topanga as a superior alternative to this establishment.
Given the chance, I would assign zero stars to this facility. Unquestionably, it stands out as one of the most disreputable gyms in existence, characterized by dubious practices that render it unworthy of your patronage.

The team at the gym facility I frequent (Crunch Chatsworth) is simply top-notch! They are fantastic at resolving any issues related to accounts, previous payments, and reinstatements. Angel is especially skilled at addressing all the concerns of club members and he even helped me quickly resolve a payment problem. I can't thank them enough for their exceptional service. A 10/10 experience for sure!

I must say, I've been quite concerned with my recent experience at the gym. Firstly, I was puzzled about the operating hours. Google Maps indicated they were from 5am to 10pm, but the door claimed it was open 24 hours a day Monday to Friday. Secondly, where is the security?! During the half hour I spent enrolling, I witnessed a confrontation between the floor manager and a man who seemed to be homeless. On the same day, a man in a GMC or Jimmy vehicle nearly hit my mother and me in the parking lot, going around 40mph and swerving through spaces to avoid us, then proceeding to gesture rudely towards us. This all occurred around 8pm on a Monday evening. Not off to a good start, I must say.
After reading some poor reviews online, I decided to call on Tuesday evening at 6pm to inquire about the status of the female sauna, as there had been complaints on Yelp about it being broken. The young man who picked up wasn't certain but assumed it was functional since no one had mentioned otherwise that day. When I asked if he could double-check before I made the trip, his response was negative, stating that there were no female staff members present. Really?! At 6pm on a weekday, not a single woman on staff to verify the sauna for female patrons. Naturally, I opted to stay home, and at this juncture, I am immensely grateful that I didn't commit to a 12-month contract. I am leaning towards canceling my membership mainly due to the lack of security and proper staffing.
Zoey Perry (6/5/25, 2:26 AM):
I've been attending this gym for more than a month now. The facility is pleasant, not extravagant, but for the monthly fee of $15-20, it's fantastic. They have squat racks, free weights, bench press, incline bench press, and machines. What more could you ask for? The bathrooms are tidy, and the place isn't falling apart like some other gyms. The staff and members are friendly, and there's a precise digital scale available. I haven't encountered any problems. However, if you're seeking a spa or a YMCA-style hangout gym with a hot tub, this isn't really the place. This gym is for working out and achieving your fitness goals.
Albert James (6/4/25, 4:31 PM):
The gym I recently visited is truly exceptional, mate. I've been frequenting gyms for a good 20 years or so, and this one really stands out. The staff is top-notch, always friendly and welcoming, and the other members are like a second family. The atmosphere is just fantastic, and the facilities are well-equipped with everything you need, except perhaps a pool. But that's not a big deal, you can't have it all, right? Cheers to a great gym experience!
Matthew Walker (6/2/25, 7:01 AM):
I would not recommend this gym at all. It was a major letdown. Below are the reasons why you might want to reconsider joining this gym:
1) The staff at the front desk is not very friendly or welcoming. They do not even bother to greet new members or look up when you come in.
2) The gym is a mess, with weights scattered all over the place. It seems like the staff is either too lazy or careless to keep the gym organized for their members.
3) Some attachments are missing, and you have to rent them at the front desk. This can be quite inconvenient as you have to leave your car keys as collateral. (Keys are returned when you give back the rental)
4) Overall, the management of this gym is poor, and the staff is unfriendly. I would suggest finding another gym to train at. You'll thank me later.
Jose Thompson (5/31/25, 12:10 AM):
In my humble opinion, this gym is top-notch, mate. It's a proper beast, bigger than the others around these parts, heaps of gear, and they're on it when things need fixing. It's got that old-school feel when you're pumping iron, with the clanging of metal plates in the air – proper love that vibe, I do. The staff are all sound, always up for a natter. I'd definitely suggest checking this place out if you're after a gym with top-notch lighting and cracking vibes.
Samuel Ward (5/28/25, 4:34 PM):
Absolutely adore this gym! The team is just lovely and super approachable. However, it might be a good idea to schedule a pest control service 🐜 I've encountered roaches on a few occasions, especially near the lockers, but they scurry away before I can snap a pic. It's a bit of a buzzkill when you're in the middle of a workout and come across these pesky critters...
Russell Thompson (5/24/25, 7:41 PM):
I recently had a less than satisfactory experience at PowerHouse Gym in Northridge. I strongly advise against getting a membership at this facility. The amenities are disappointing and the management leaves much to be desired. Despite their claims of being a well-maintained gym, my firsthand experience tells a different story. After holding a membership there for over a year, I can confidently say that they do not deliver on their promises. In my case, the owner Derek assured me that I could resume using the remaining time on my membership after a medical leave before deciding whether to continue. However, when I reached out to exercise this option, he went back on his word. This incident has confirmed the negative rumors I had heard about Derek and his business practices. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a gym membership in the Northridge area, as there are certainly better options available.
Jack Smith (5/24/25, 1:04 PM):
Do not waste your money on a membership here - they make it nearly impossible to cancel.
I spoke with management, but they claimed they couldn't locate my account. Now they are insisting that I signed up for a yearly membership and cannot cancel until February 2022. My account was on hold for over a year, so when did I supposedly sign up for a whole year? After pointing this out, I haven't received any response from them.
I initially joined in February 2020, so it seems they are gearing up to charge me for another year. If you browse through reviews of various Crunch Gym locations, you'll see similar complaints. Some individuals even mentioned being sent to collections because of this issue. I am doing everything I can to avoid that outcome, but I have yet to find a solution.
Randy Wright (5/23/25, 11:07 AM):
I couldn't make it to the gym to begin my membership, although I had already paid for it. Therefore, I requested to cancel to avoid being charged for the following month. I had opted for a month-to-month plan, so there shouldn't be any problem, but they are ignoring my emails regarding cancellation. As a business, you should improve your customer service. I've been a member at other gyms and had no trouble canceling when needed. It's best to invest your money elsewhere.
Julia Patterson (5/22/25, 10:13 AM):
I didn't venture down to the valley this time as I didn't have to - we had a room already, but the exterior of the gym is consistently tidy and welcoming to their community. They make an effort to collaborate with and support the less fortunate, unlike other businesses in the area that do the complete opposite!
Mia Allen (5/20/25, 6:01 AM):
The folks at the gym are just marvelous, I must say. Chris, my personal trainer, has been an absolute gem in helping both myself and my sister with tailored exercises, especially designed for seniors. Being disabled due to my arthritis and other health concerns, Chris went above and beyond to show us suitable exercises that cater to our needs. I am truly grateful for his assistance, as it has made a world of difference for me. Thanks to him, I've developed a newfound appreciation for hitting the gym regularly. Cheers to Chris and the amazing work he does!
John Jenkins (5/20/25, 2:21 AM):
Oh well, they promised me basketball when I joined this place, but let me tell you what I actually got.
Check out the photo.
Amanda Evans (5/19/25, 4:39 PM):
I recently discovered that I was charged $80. Five days before that, my brother tried to cancel the membership. He provided his information and was put on hold, but no one ever got back to him. We probably shouldn't have assumed that they had canceled it, but we trusted that they were doing their job and took care of it. When we asked for a refund, we were told that the $80 charge was for the whole year, even though we won't be using Crunch anymore. I had been counting on that $80 to get me through the next couple of weeks, especially since I'm going through some financial difficulties due to medical bills. I explained this to them, but it seems like their policy is more important to them than their loyal customers. Even though I called in advance, they still made it difficult for me. What's the point of giving them 10 days' notice if they're going to make it so complicated? The frustrating part is that when we previously called to cancel five days before, they said it wasn't canceled but then told us they would cancel it right away. And now I received an email today saying they canceled it today! This is the third time we've tried to cancel, and I should have listened to the warnings from other people about their cancellation process. If you look at the reviews, it's clear that many others have had issues with canceling their memberships as well.
Jean Perry (5/17/25, 11:54 AM):
I've been a member for over a year and almost 2 years now, and I've tried to cancel my membership after just 4 months. The gym never had anything I could use, and it was always overcrowded the few times I went there. I ended up letting my membership payments bounce, but then I realized I didn't want any missed payments on my credit report. I've never even used any of the weights in this gym. It's really unfair that they only allow you to cancel in person with specific staff members who are never around. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone. Every time I went in, they were never there, and when I called, I got no answer.
Peter Powell (5/16/25, 4:44 AM):
The most dreadful experience at the gym, mate! The custodians are hitting the weights instead of tidying up, and when you fancy a sauna sesh post-workout, they suddenly decide it's time to do their job after having all day to clean. What kind of gig lets you just work out and clean whenever? And don't get me started on that bloke's attitude - pure hell! It's the same custodian who does the midnight clean on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, can you believe it?
