Outstanding customer service! I can't quite recall, but I think his name was BJ! He was amazing!!! He didn't give me any trouble when I asked for a day pass. He didn't push me to sign up like most gyms or talk endlessly. I had a great workout and because of his approach, I am thinking about joining a Planet Fitness in my area. It was truly refreshing.

The management here is incredibly professional and just super cool! The cleanliness of the facilities is always spot on, which is absolutely crucial. This gym truly caters to families and would come highly recommended to anyone!
I go there every day and the machines are always clean with sanitation products available after you work up a good sweat. There's a great variety of equipment to ensure a well-rounded workout. They don't have free weights, but instead provide smith machines or bars on a fixed guided path.
I've been a member for 6 months and I've never come across a more well-run or well-equipped gym. The team is incredibly friendly and helpful. The coach is top-notch and supportive. They know you by name and always motivate you. The whole team truly cares about their gym and it's evident. I would gladly suggest the Acworth location to any of my pals. This place is top-notch!
Workable. That's a jolly good word for it. Things operate just fine, but could do with a spot of maintenance. The hours are a tad bothersome, as most other spots have gone back to being open 24/7. The place itself is clearly clean, but it doesn't quite meet the usual Planet Fitness standards in terms of upkeep and hours of operation.
This is the sole Planet Fitness location I visit where there are perpetually light bulbs out throughout the facility, dim corners in the tanning sections, and one tanning bed with no illumination. If you happen to be without your phone, visibility is practically nonexistent until the bed eventually powers on. Not once in the last month have I arrived to find the tanning beds in a clean state... They consistently remain in a disgusting condition, and the staff takes no action to rectify this. Furthermore, there is currently no lighting whatsoever in the parking lot... Positively unsafe.

Even after I brought up a cleaning concern with PF corporate and received a call from Manager “Paul” assuring me that the club cleanings would improve, there has been little to no change. This place is abysmal! It’s clear that the everyday manager Aaron can't inspire his staff to clean, and he seems to have become lax in his managerial duties. Take a look at the photos attached showing dust, paper, and trash everywhere. I seriously doubt these floors have been vacuumed or mopped in the last 6 months or more!
It's October and we've renewed our Black Card memberships. However, this place is NOT enforcing mask-wearing when moving between pieces of equipment or walking to get cleaner and a paper towel. While I've seen the young lady at the counter 'cleaning' once, this place is nowhere near clean enough and doesn’t match the cleanliness of other PF locations I’ve visited. Also, in the men's locker room, the small toilet I used was still dirty and rusty from last year! Has anyone thought about wiping down the counters in there? There shouldn’t be standing water or whatever it is on the counter. COME ON! Today, while I didn’t see the girl at the front counter cleaning with her bucket, I did see a guy sitting in the back office playing on his phone. With COVID and everything going on, this place is not up to standard, so members, BEWARE!
It's January 2, 2020, and I just called Planet Fitness Corporate office in New Hampshire to express my concerns, as I did in my previous review. I conveyed to Nena - the representative who took my call - that I speak for many dissatisfied members regarding the lack of updates at this location. It appears that the franchise owner (Wash) is using this location purely for profit and not investing in updating outdated treadmills, bikes, or bringing in new cardio equipment. Let's wait and see if the management team overseeing this franchise owner’s clubs will reach out to me. Nena mentioned they would call me back in 2-3 business days.
After being a black card member for over two years, I believe it’s time to offer some constructive feedback on this particular location. The staff remains incredibly friendly and helpful, but the club desperately needs equipment upgrades. For instance, the treadmills are outdated with old iPod connections, and the belts are worn out. The bikes are also old and in need of replacement. After what feels like an eternity, the water dispenser on the wall was finally installed. There's no 360 room. Rumors suggest this location may expand into the neighboring chiropractic rental space, but that's just hearsay. My observations are based on the numerous clubs I visit during work travel. I hope the owner considers providing these upgrades and others to stay competitive with their other locations. Thank you!
Why bother with any other fitness facility? The staff here are polite, helpful, cheerful, and always greet me warmly and wish me well when I leave. This facility is clean, well-kept, and equipped with everything I need to stay fit. As a former powerlifter gym enthusiast in my youth, I know what gyms are like, and this is a welcomed change. TO THE OWNER: Great job on this facility and for hiring exceptional staff to manage it. Cheers, Ken.
Rude staff. I asked to use the lay down tanning bed for 12 minutes and was abruptly corrected that it had to be only 10 minutes. Alright then? That's fine by me. It's better for my skin. I returned to Bed #3. The bed is really dirty! I had to clean it thoroughly and ended up losing two out of the ten minutes I had allotted. I walked to the front desk and was completely ignored, even as I departed. I think I'll just stick with the Cartersville PF from now on. At least the staff there are friendly and ensure the bed is clean after each person uses it, even if the previous person already cleaned it.
A jolly good spot for a bit of fitness, that is! My first day there was absolutely splendid, I must say.
Lovely, clean vibe, and so hassle-free. I just do my thing, no problems. And after I'm done, I hop on the water massage bed and then the chair. Let me tell you, it's fantastic!
I used to adore this establishment, but presently it's just mediocre. There's a wide array of equipment available, which is a plus. However, the cleanliness has taken a nosedive in recent weeks. The shower curtains are covered in mold, the showers are consistently chilly, and the locker room floor seems to only get cleaned once a week or so. These issues should be apparent to management and shouldn't require a member pointing them out.
UPDATE: As of 10/26, the warm showers have returned, hopefully for good. When inquiring about the cold showers this past weekend, I was informed it was a corporate issue, not specific to the club??? If the management here could do better at maintaining cleanliness in the locker rooms (take note of the mold on the shower curtain, and the trash and dust on the floor), I could consider giving a 4 or 5-star rating.
UPDATE PART 2: 11/7, New shower curtains have been installed, replacing the unsanitary old ones, but the showers are COLD once again, and the locker rooms remain dirty. Management is falling short at this location. Instead of increasing my rating, I have deducted a star.
Two of the treadmills were not functioning properly, yet they were not clearly marked. Another treadmill was noticeably imbalanced. The gym appeared spacious but turned out to be smaller than expected. The signage was insufficient, making it difficult to locate the restrooms and showers. The showers were situated in a dark area without clear indications of their whereabouts. Additionally, there were no changing rooms available, so if you wanted to take a shower, you had to change on the floor or undress directly in the shower before turning it on. It also took some time for the hot water to kick in.
So, when I first started going to this gym, it was all good, but as time went by, things took a turn for the worse. The floor be dirty, anything that ain't been wiped down by the customers be grimy, everything got a layer of dust despite them big fans blowing about, the staff be either quiet or downright unfriendly to the clients, and I ain't seen a worker cleanin' nothin' or even step out from behind the counter since 2019. The final straw came tonight when I fetched my jeans from a locker and a whole bunch of roaches scurried out. I went straight to the front desk to report it, and the staff member there said, and I quote, "Oh yeah, there's roaches everywhere. We can't do nuthin' 'bout it." I was so shocked I couldn't even respond. I'll be canceling my membership first thing tomorrow.
The amenities are satisfactory, however the section with free weights is somewhat constrained. The staff is courteous. Nonetheless, I am quite displeased with their membership termination policy, which makes it unduly arduous to cancel. It is not possible to terminate one's membership over the phone, so I made four attempts to do so in person, only to miss their hours due to work until the final try. Upon finally requesting a cancellation and being informed that I had given them only 6 days' notice when they require 7, the young man at the counter processed the termination after making just 4 clicks on his computer. Seven days? Every person I interacted with seemed to deflect behind the same response: "it's in the contract." While indeed it may be stipulated in the contract, it is unreasonable and not conducive to good business practices.
The staff is absolutely fantastic, cleanliness is on point at a 10/10, the tanning beds and hydromassage beds are truly top-notch and in perfect working order. Personally, I find the gym to be a tad too small for my liking - lacking sufficient equipment and free weights. The arrangement of the equipment seems a bit haphazard to me; I end up wandering from room to room during my workout. Additionally, the lighting somehow manages to make me feel drowsy. Alright, perhaps I'm being overly critical here, but these are purely my personal preferences. Despite all this, I've decided to retain my membership solely for the tanning and massage beds, while conducting my workouts at a different gym.
Upon perusing the remarks on here, I frequent this gym and find it rather intriguing that the responses provided to these individuals are to inform the manager. It would seem that your manager is not quite up to par if you happen to be the proprietor, in which case, it falls upon you to address this matter. Moreover, if you happen to stumble upon this message, may I kindly suggest relocating the Smith machines from their current position near the windows? The proximity to the glass makes it rather challenging to handle the weights effectively.
This ain't our usual spot, mate. We popped in once while we were in the area. It's a bit on the smaller side compared to other places we've been, but that's all right. There were a few staff members, all just standing about chatting, munching, texting, not really being proper "staff" if you catch my drift. They were all young, so that might explain a bit. Overall, this gym had some off vibes for some reason, so we won't be swinging by this joint again. But we do love Planet Fitness. Also worth noting, this spot ain't open 24/7 like many others, so keep that in mind when popping in. Cheers!
