I quite fancy Planet Fitness, especially the perk of being able to visit any branch with the Black Card. But I do concur with a few past remarks regarding the constant chit-chat among the 2-3 staff members stationed at the counter, and the apparent lack of cleanliness in equipment maintenance. I prefer going during off-peak hours (when the crowd gauge never hits above 2), so there really shouldn't be any reason not to tidy up the gear post the bustling morning rush.
Additionally, it's a tad disappointing that one of the two hydro beds has been out of order for several weeks now. No timeline provided for its repair, which is rather inconvenient.

I absolutely adore this place, even though it can get a bit busy in the evenings. The aqua massage beds are absolutely fantastic! I used to be a member here but ended my membership because of the staff. However, I am so thrilled that I decided to give it another go. The current staff is just amazing. They are super friendly and always ready to assist. My whole family loves coming here and working out together. Huge shoutout to Planet Fitness!!! So happy to be back!!

This squad is quite smashing and checks off all the boxes for me. They're all proper about keeping things tidy and consistently sanitize the gear. The 30-minute workout zone is ace, fits right into my daily routine. The head honcho at the gym is top-notch, always attentive and open to feedback. Cheers!

I'm a black card member from out of town. Thank goodness this isn't my home gym. It smells quite unpleasant, the temperature inside is rather warm, the water from the fountain is only lukewarm, and the bathroom sink doesn't even have cold water. Many of the machines, such as the seated fly and cable fly machines, are not positioned in front of mirrors, so you can't monitor your form while working out. Additionally, several of the Smith machines face a blank wall, which is not very motivating. On a positive note, it wasn't crowded at 6:30 pm. However, I now understand why that might be the case. Did I mention they don't have cold water available?

I rang them up twice regarding my gym membership and to terminate it, and the staff member assured me that my subscription would be canceled after the contract ended. However, I was billed for annual fees nonetheless and am struggling to get a reimbursement. Due to COVID, I am not comfortable going into the gym, and their options for cancelling are either in-person or mailing a form, when a simple fax or phone call would suffice. When I mentioned this to a person named Rhett, he accused me of lying about the situation and didn't take into account the health guidelines. Overall, a very unsatisfactory customer service experience.

Top-notch gyms, top-notch customer service. But let me tell you, the cancellation policy is a load of old codswallop! I tried to cancel over the blower, but no dice. They told me I had to cancel in person at my registered haunt or send a certified letter. So I sent off that letter, proper official-like, and what happens? Months go by and my membership is still ticking away. I'd been shelling out for over a year without even setting foot in the place, can you believe it? I was all the way in Wyoming, but no sir, I had to hightail it back to Georgia to sort this mess out in person. And when I finally made it to the Kennesaw joint to cancel, they had the cheek to say I'd still be charged for the month and could use the facilities until mid-August. Not a penny refunded, mind you. Well, I tell you this, I won't be darkening the door of a Planet Fitness again, that's for sure.

I 'ave only been a member for a short time and I'm quite disappointed in the staff. A couple o' staff members are pleasant, but all they seem to do is stand around if they're not checkin' folks in. I went last night and the women's loo was absolutely dreadful. Also, the staff should really take a stroll 'round and give the cup holders on the machines a wipe every once in a while. I used two different machines and both cup holders I tried had either a sticky drink spill or a dirty tissue in 'em. Also, some of the staff members give off an attitude or shoot a judgmental look when you sign up to use the massage chair or hydrobed. When I used the total body enhancer, I asked a staff member (a young white lass with a blonde ponytail) for information, and instead of explainin', she just told me to read the back of the door for info, please. I'm more than willing to pay me $58 cancellation fee and switch to a cleaner gym.

It's quite unsettling that the "owner" keeps instructing folks to handle his responsibilities and "speak to the manager." It's your establishment, you should be the one speaking with your managers!

Outstanding customer service! I can't quite recall, but I think his name was BJ! He was amazing!!! He didn't give me any trouble when I asked for a day pass. He didn't push me to sign up like most gyms or talk endlessly. I had a great workout and because of his approach, I am thinking about joining a Planet Fitness in my area. It was truly refreshing.

The management here is incredibly professional and just super cool! The cleanliness of the facilities is always spot on, which is absolutely crucial. This gym truly caters to families and would come highly recommended to anyone!

I go there every day and the machines are always clean with sanitation products available after you work up a good sweat. There's a great variety of equipment to ensure a well-rounded workout. They don't have free weights, but instead provide smith machines or bars on a fixed guided path.

I've been a member for 6 months and I've never come across a more well-run or well-equipped gym. The team is incredibly friendly and helpful. The coach is top-notch and supportive. They know you by name and always motivate you. The whole team truly cares about their gym and it's evident. I would gladly suggest the Acworth location to any of my pals. This place is top-notch!

Workable. That's a jolly good word for it. Things operate just fine, but could do with a spot of maintenance. The hours are a tad bothersome, as most other spots have gone back to being open 24/7. The place itself is clearly clean, but it doesn't quite meet the usual Planet Fitness standards in terms of upkeep and hours of operation.

This is the sole Planet Fitness location I visit where there are perpetually light bulbs out throughout the facility, dim corners in the tanning sections, and one tanning bed with no illumination. If you happen to be without your phone, visibility is practically nonexistent until the bed eventually powers on. Not once in the last month have I arrived to find the tanning beds in a clean state... They consistently remain in a disgusting condition, and the staff takes no action to rectify this. Furthermore, there is currently no lighting whatsoever in the parking lot... Positively unsafe.

UPDATE 3/11/22 -

Even after I brought up a cleaning concern with PF corporate and received a call from Manager “Paul” assuring me that the club cleanings would improve, there has been little to no change. This place is abysmal! It’s clear that the everyday manager Aaron can't inspire his staff to clean, and he seems to have become lax in his managerial duties. Take a look at the photos attached showing dust, paper, and trash everywhere. I seriously doubt these floors have been vacuumed or mopped in the last 6 months or more!

It's October and we've renewed our Black Card memberships. However, this place is NOT enforcing mask-wearing when moving between pieces of equipment or walking to get cleaner and a paper towel. While I've seen the young lady at the counter 'cleaning' once, this place is nowhere near clean enough and doesn’t match the cleanliness of other PF locations I’ve visited. Also, in the men's locker room, the small toilet I used was still dirty and rusty from last year! Has anyone thought about wiping down the counters in there? There shouldn’t be standing water or whatever it is on the counter. COME ON! Today, while I didn’t see the girl at the front counter cleaning with her bucket, I did see a guy sitting in the back office playing on his phone. With COVID and everything going on, this place is not up to standard, so members, BEWARE!

It's January 2, 2020, and I just called Planet Fitness Corporate office in New Hampshire to express my concerns, as I did in my previous review. I conveyed to Nena - the representative who took my call - that I speak for many dissatisfied members regarding the lack of updates at this location. It appears that the franchise owner (Wash) is using this location purely for profit and not investing in updating outdated treadmills, bikes, or bringing in new cardio equipment. Let's wait and see if the management team overseeing this franchise owner’s clubs will reach out to me. Nena mentioned they would call me back in 2-3 business days.

After being a black card member for over two years, I believe it’s time to offer some constructive feedback on this particular location. The staff remains incredibly friendly and helpful, but the club desperately needs equipment upgrades. For instance, the treadmills are outdated with old iPod connections, and the belts are worn out. The bikes are also old and in need of replacement. After what feels like an eternity, the water dispenser on the wall was finally installed. There's no 360 room. Rumors suggest this location may expand into the neighboring chiropractic rental space, but that's just hearsay. My observations are based on the numerous clubs I visit during work travel. I hope the owner considers providing these upgrades and others to stay competitive with their other locations. Thank you!

Why bother with any other fitness facility? The staff here are polite, helpful, cheerful, and always greet me warmly and wish me well when I leave. This facility is clean, well-kept, and equipped with everything I need to stay fit. As a former powerlifter gym enthusiast in my youth, I know what gyms are like, and this is a welcomed change. TO THE OWNER: Great job on this facility and for hiring exceptional staff to manage it. Cheers, Ken.

Rude staff. I asked to use the lay down tanning bed for 12 minutes and was abruptly corrected that it had to be only 10 minutes. Alright then? That's fine by me. It's better for my skin. I returned to Bed #3. The bed is really dirty! I had to clean it thoroughly and ended up losing two out of the ten minutes I had allotted. I walked to the front desk and was completely ignored, even as I departed. I think I'll just stick with the Cartersville PF from now on. At least the staff there are friendly and ensure the bed is clean after each person uses it, even if the previous person already cleaned it.

Lovely, clean vibe, and so hassle-free. I just do my thing, no problems. And after I'm done, I hop on the water massage bed and then the chair. Let me tell you, it's fantastic!
