Absolutely no stars! And I mean three NEGATIVE stars for the management. Specifically, there is one absolutely dreadful manager who clearly lacks the ability to satisfy the members. This establishment really needs stronger leadership or it will not survive. There are plenty of superior gyms in the area that provide excellent service and would love to have you as a customer. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere and steering clear of this place!
Nicole Miller (6/12/25, 4:24 PM):
The staff at the gym are absolutely fantastic. I had a little issue during my workout the other day and they have been so helpful ever since. Jeff and Dena are just awesome. Really polite and considerate individuals.
Anna Ross (6/8/25, 3:02 PM):
The gents at Santa Clarita Athletic Club are just smashing, I must say! The chaps there are ever so friendly and polite, creating a family-friendly environment where one can sweat it out with the whole clan. And let me tell you, the rates are quite fair. If you ever run into a spot of bother, the staff is quick to lend a hand and sort things out in a jiffy, top-notch service all around, I say!
Grace Moore (6/7/25, 2:38 AM):
Not too many folks around, but the main gym reopened yesterday. Time to get those gains, people!
Heather Rogers (6/5/25, 3:09 PM):
This gym has recently come under new ownership and it is absolutely fantastic! I'm currently preparing for a competition and I am thrilled with the array of equipment available. They have designated an entire room solely for upper body workouts, another for lower body exercises, and yet another for cardio sessions. Additionally, there is a spacious area dedicated to plyometrics. This gym is ideal for individuals who are serious about achieving their fitness and muscle-building goals, rather than being there for socializing or appearance. While it may not cater to everyone's preferences, I personally find it to be perfect for my needs.
Layla Gutierrez (6/4/25, 3:19 AM):
I absolutely love coming to this gym because I can pop in at any time and get a full workout without any waiting around for machines!
Melissa Ward (6/4/25, 2:47 AM):
I've been attempting to contact them for more than a week now, and the phone representatives are just dreadful. The email responses are equally dreadful, and they never follow through with promised callbacks. After going through all the reviews, it seems like everyone has the same unfortunate experience. They truly are the WOAT (Worst Of All Time).
Stephen White (6/3/25, 9:00 AM):
They set up a bogus membership for me and then sent me an invoice.
Martha Anderson (6/2/25, 8:52 AM):
The management here is dreadfully rude! Customer service, even worse! Watch out for hidden fees lurking at every turn. My advice? Steer clear of this place!
Susan Gray (6/1/25, 9:23 PM):
I popped in to check out the gym. I'm from out of town and decided to take advantage of the 7-day free pass. When I spoke with Dena, she initially welcomed me warmly as a new customer, but her attitude quickly turned sour once I mentioned that I was visiting and wanted to use the free pass. It felt like I was dealing with a shady car salesman. She then informed me that only local residents could use the free pass or else pay $20 for a day pass because our facility is so exceptional and she implied that everyone would want to use the free pass. I found this misleading as the website stated that first-time users could access the membership. While I could afford to join, I already have two gym memberships in other towns. I had contemplated joining in the future as I may relocate eventually, but after being made to feel somewhat like Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman" when she's treated poorly on Rodeo Drive, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Amber Graham (5/31/25, 10:32 AM):
I was a member for almost 3 years, mate. Let me tell you, this gym is absolutely rubbish. The machines are knackered and falling apart. They've got a few decent classes, but the times are a bit limited, innit? What really got on my nerves and made me pack it in was the abysmal customer service – couldn't get hold of anyone to sort out my account for weeks! After 3 weeks, 10 bloody phone calls, and 2 emails, finally someone gave me a bell. I don't know about you, but I haven't got time in my life for a company that's that disorganised.
Seems like they're always in a right mess with changes and new managers coming in all the time. You think it can't get any worse, but lo and behold, it does. It's not even about the dosh, mate, it's about dealing with folks who give a toss, and these lot don't. Save yourself the hassle, I wouldn't recommend joining this place, not by a long shot.
Johnny Powell (5/30/25, 8:55 PM):
During the lockdown, I was shocked to discover that they were attempting to levy late fees and continuing to charge me for my membership despite the gym being closed. The audacity!
Carol Evans (5/29/25, 1:22 AM):
I have been a member for years at the SC Athletic Club, and let me tell you, it's the friendliest place to work out in all of the SCV. I'm over 50, and my son is a trainer and bodybuilder, so we know a thing or two about gyms. Trust me, I've been to all the other clubs in town, and whoever says they have inferior equipment is just plain wrong. My wife absolutely adores the yoga classes, and personally, I love the people there. It's clean, has a great local vibe, and welcomes individuals of all ages and sizes. No one put me up to writing this, I promise. Peace out!
Keith Martinez (5/28/25, 10:22 PM):
This gym is pretty good, I must say.
Brenda Walker (5/28/25, 5:55 AM):
This gym is absolutely massive and offers a wide range of facilities, with a diverse membership base and some of the most well-informed staff in the Santa Clarita Valley!
Kyle Robinson (5/26/25, 5:15 PM):
I would like to share my thoughts on this gym. It's a spacious facility with ongoing renovations, including a new section that will cater exclusively to women. Additionally, there's a heated pool on site. The pricing is very reasonable, and they offer enticing promotions - I was able to try the gym for a week at no cost to see if it suited me, which was fantastic. The receptionist, Jeff, is exceptionally welcoming and attentive, contributing positively to the overall atmosphere of the gym. Wishing them continued success and many satisfied customers!
Michelle Kim (5/26/25, 12:37 AM):
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL customer service. Throughout my entire year and a half membership, I consistently got charged for services not outlined in my contract. When I reached out to have these extra charges removed, the staff would become quite irate and treated me terribly. Even during the COVID-19 closures, they continued to debit my account. I requested for my account to be frozen, yet a month later, another charge appeared! When I called, they instructed me to send an email, but their responses took weeks. The whole ordeal was just dreadful, and they never once offered an apology for their rudeness or charging me while the gym remained shuttered.
Russell Cruz (5/22/25, 9:48 PM):
The management at this gym is extremely unprofessional. I had to stop attending because I am frequently out of town, but they have refused to cancel my membership. It's been a frustrating experience dealing with them.
Johnny Moore (5/19/25, 7:18 PM):
I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment. It has been my unfortunate experience that this gym operates in a questionable manner, with reports of members being misled and charged unfairly. I have taken the time to share my detailed feedback on Yelp to warn others. Avoid this place at all costs, as they have shown a pattern of deceiving individuals and continuing to charge them even after canceling their memberships.
Harper Hernandez (5/15/25, 10:25 AM):
This gym is filled with rude people, and it really ruins the atmosphere. It's not very welcoming when you're trying to focus on your workout but constantly encountering people with bad attitudes. It's a shame because I was hoping for a more positive environment to help me stay motivated.
