This gym is rather decent, with a plethora of equipment at your disposal. I absolutely adore how impeccably clean they keep it. The cleaning squad truly puts in the elbow grease to ensure this. Beware though, the gym tends to get quite packed from 4:30 until 7:30. It'd be wise to steer clear of those hours if possible. The majority of patrons here are exceedingly pleasant. Save for a few oddballs. Since I enrolled, there has been a significant improvement by introducing a modest divider between showers. There still remains a tiny gap that could and ought to be sealed completely. If this were to be rectified, I would gladly bestow upon this gym a 5-star rating.

Tidy, pleasant gym. Pricey for what it offers.
Jordan Thomas (6/12/25, 2:53 PM):
This gym is absolutely smashing, mate! They've got a proper range of fitness gear and classes. Hands down the top gym in town.
Dorothy Ortiz (6/10/25, 11:01 AM):
I 'ave been a member of VIDA Fitness for a year and I absolutely bloomin' enjoyed me experience. The facility is top-notch for the price. The lockers rooms and showers were modern, right clean, and 'ad everything I fancied and then some. They 'ad multiple group workout rooms with crackin' instructors. Two endless swimming pools and a bang-up steam room. The machines were in tip-top shape and they were always bringin' in new equipment. The only reason I scarpered was 'cause I relocated from DC.
I 'ave only two gripes:
The first is that they offer a lot of grand classes, but some of the classes I fancied tryin' were only available as "small group" classes and came with an extra fee. I really wanted to give a boxing class a whirl, but they only offered a free "large" group class every so often.
Me other (and bigger) gripe would be the personal training. In an effort to sweeten the initial membership fee, the gym lets ya pick a "perk" when you start. This could be a set of those "small group" classes, a massage, or three personal training sessions. I opted for the personal training sessions. However, when I turned up for me first session, me trainer wasn't there. I waited for nearly an hour and the other trainers just gawped at me sittin' there waitin'. Nobody kept me informed when I asked where me trainer was. Eventually, after an hour, I 'ad to stride into the staff-only area and just inform them that I was done waitin'. The lead trainer simply shrugged at me. After this incident, I didn't receive a single email apologizin' or askin' about me experience. When I did eventually have me first training session, it was basically just a hard sell for me to purchase a "personal training package" which would 'ave been double me gym membership fees. I never ended up usin' me other personal training sessions.
Crackin' gym and bang-up facility. Just don't expect much on the personal training side.
Gabriel Wright (6/10/25, 3:59 AM):
The atmosphere at this gym is simply dreadful! I gave this gym a chance for a week and discovered it to be even worse than a high school cafeteria! It's so cliquey, with an abundance of mirror selfies, and I felt like a commodity at the market! I promptly made the switch to DMV Iron Gym. This gym is definitely not geared towards dedicated weightlifters! I strongly advise you to steer clear!
Bradley Hall (6/9/25, 9:42 PM):
This gym is quite well-equipped with friendly staff and excellent maintenance/cleanliness. Cat really knows how to run a tight ship. COVID safety measures are top-notch here -when someone around me wasn't following the basic safety protocols, the staff took care of it right away.
James Morales (6/9/25, 6:41 PM):
Marvelous establishment and absolutely splendid personnel, particularly the group fitness instructors. VIDA stands out as a top-notch choice with premium offerings and features, all while maintaining top-notch quality. Everyone desires a more budget-friendly option, but the expenses justify all the club's features and amenities. Opting for a lower-priced alternative results in significantly less value. Conversely, paying a tad more does not equate to enhanced value. I wholeheartedly endorse this fitness center.
Samantha Lewis (6/9/25, 1:51 AM):
They just won't stop emailing no matter how many times you ask them to.
Harper Ramirez (6/7/25, 9:07 AM):
All of their elliptical machines are in need of replacement, they have been malfunctioning for over a year. Management has failed to address the issue despite multiple complaints. Great location but not worth the investment.
Larry Richardson (6/7/25, 7:44 AM):
Adorable! Lovely amenities with a top-notch studio for practicing in.
Willie Perez (6/6/25, 12:46 PM):
Incredible gym with captivating fitness classes and a lively, fashionable atmosphere. It's an underground spot, but definitely not your typical basement gym - the vibe is energetic and welcoming. Far from dull. Alongside the fantastic amenities, the reception staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming - a huge bonus when every distraction in your life is enticing you to skip the gym and indulge in heaps of Flamin' Hot Cheetos and Mountain Dew.
Hats off to Vida team member Tasha as well, for consistently providing exceptional customer service - and for going the extra mile in helping me locate my keys! You truly make me feel like a valued member of Vida Fitness. Thank you!
Kathryn Jordan (5/29/25, 10:57 AM):
Lovely gym. Lovely folks and a fantastic spot.
Donald King (5/19/25, 10:06 PM):
Fantastic gym, incredibly pristine, exceptional personnel and amenities.
Jennifer Long (5/17/25, 9:32 AM):
Just moved in around here and decided to swing by to check out the membership prices. The bloke at the front desk could very well be the most impolite person I’ve encountered since settling in this area. He acted as if they didn’t fancy having my custom, which put me off despite the gym seeming rather decent.
Leonard Reed (5/16/25, 10:28 PM):
Fitness Club > Gym Membership. VIDA has phenomenal gym equipment for sure, but what takes it the extra mile is the sense of community and the top-notch amenities it offers. Almost every class is offered at no additional cost and doesn't require advance sign-up - so much better than having to book your spot three weeks beforehand. The facilities are spotless and well-maintained, and the staff really goes the extra mile. They're always positive, welcoming, and eager to enhance your experience. While the price may be a bit steep, the overall value certainly makes it worthwhile.
Robert Wright (5/15/25, 8:15 AM):
One of the best gyms in DC, I must say! The endless pool is my absolute favorite!
Edward Gomez (5/15/25, 6:22 AM):
Great spot, mate, but be mindful of the extra charges. It ends up costing more than you might think at first glance.
Arthur Scott (5/14/25, 8:07 PM):
The prices are a bit steep. There's this odd additional fee every 3 months. It was supposed to be upgraded. Noticed some new floors that didn't seem necessary.
Anna Price (5/13/25, 11:53 AM):
Welcome to dear Vida! Security cameras in men's locker rooms - the gay owner must be having a jolly good time. Your private information could potentially be leaked on social media - a congressman's scandal is causing quite the stir on Facebook. Best of luck cancelling your membership - you try to leave, they won't let you go. Vida Love$ you!
Andrew Clark (5/9/25, 12:48 PM):
I 'ave been frequentin' this place fer years now, and since I joined other gyms, I 'ave 'ad some amazin' experiences. The spa facilities at this gym are like the McDonald's ice cream machine - broken more often than it actually works. I 'ave visited Lifetime, OneLife, Equinox, and I can't even recall the last time their saunas or steam rooms were out of order.
It's been 4 weeks into the new year and the steam room 'as been bust since December.
