Alexis K at the front desk really outdid herself today. She's got a knack for thinking outside the box and is an absolute delight for guests to engage with when they step into the fitness center.

I must say, I was terribly let down by the management's handling of my membership requirements. I had intended to switch from the Bay Club to Life Time because some of my friends were making the move. In my opinion, the services and staff at Bay Club are superior to those at Life Time. It's important to support businesses that truly value their customers.
Jean Fisher (4/27/25, 7:55 PM):
Absolutely loving Life Time! The amenities are top-notch and the overall experience is fantastic.
Michelle Morales (4/26/25, 8:50 AM):
This is absolutely ludicrous. I terminated my membership a month and a half ago and THEY ARE STILL ATTEMPTING TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD! They don't operate their business effectively!! Stay clear!!!!
Shirley Sanchez (4/25/25, 7:35 PM):
Beware, mateys, of the cold plunge, also known as the swass plunge - where blokes don their just-worked-out undies as swimwear and skip a shower between sauna and cold dip. The LifeTime crew lets it slide without a word, so here's a friendly warning for thee:
In the spa's quiet nook, where the cold waters wait,
A plunge pool beckons, chilled to tempt fate.
With sweaty undies on, now repurposed as suits,
They dive into the cold, ignoring all disputes.
But the water's not clean, tainted with sweat,
From sauna to plunge, no rinse to forget.
In the tiny pool's depths, they splash and they play,
Leaving behind swass, to float and to stay.
Beverly Cook (4/23/25, 11:35 PM):
Overall, a splendid structure, yet the experience did not quite meet my expectations given the cost. The new massage chairs are lacking (reminiscent of those at PF), the zero gravity recliners are nonfunctional and could easily be repurposed as extra dumbbells or racks. The clientele also does not quite live up to the standards you would expect for a hefty monthly fee lol, we've encountered some odd situations already. It is definitely the top choice in the downtown area, but I am hopeful that management will continue to enhance the quality of the weight room floor. There have been some slight improvements, but there is still a considerable amount of space being wasted and the massage/relaxation amenities are mediocre.

I wanna really like this gym ‘cause I’m shelling out a pretty penny for my membership, but I often end up leaving feeling peeved about something.
On the plus side, the gym is all shiny and new, but it bugs me that most folks don’t bother wiping down the gear after they’re done. They do offer loads of fancy perks you don’t usually find at other gyms, like a café, workspace, childcare, cycling studio, and a bunch of different group classes. It might be worth ditching your other memberships ‘cause Lifetime probably has a great alternative.
The downside is there ain’t much equipment in the weight area when there’s a group class happening. For instance, there’s only one squat rack available when the rest are being used for the class. Plus, there’s always somethin’ on the fritz in the spa. I mainly joined for the spa—ya know, the hot tub, steam room, sauna, and cold plunge—but somethin’s been broken every time I’ve gone in my month and a half as a member. It’s mighty aggravating to go to the spa and not be able to use what you went there for. The rooftop pool is always outta commission too. Not a big deal now, but hopefully it’ll be up and runnin’ by summer.
Jeffrey Ford (4/18/25, 5:51 PM):
I absolutely love my visits to Life Time WC. The team is incredibly welcoming, and the gym is always spotless with top-notch equipment. I didn't have high expectations going in, knowing it's just a gym, but they definitely exceeded them.

I simply can't speak highly enough about Zoe at Lifetime Spa! She is a true master when it comes to hair color and cutting. Not only does she possess an incredible knack for selecting the perfect shade to enhance your skin tone, but her cutting skills are precise and always lead to a style that matures gracefully. She takes the time to truly understand your desires and provides expert guidance to help you reach your hair objectives. The ambiance at Lifetime Spa is delightful, and Zoe ensures that every appointment feels exceptional. Whether you desire a complete makeover or just a subtle update to your current look, Zoe is the stylist for you. Her meticulous attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm for her craft truly make her stand out. Without a doubt, a 5-star experience!

I do wish they would open a Life Time branch in the Mountain View/Sunnyvale area. After moving from Folsom back to the Bay Area, I find myself missing Life Time. I am currently at Bay Club, but the facilities just don't compare in terms of cleanliness.
Amanda Martin (4/14/25, 7:28 AM):
Parking is absolutely dreadful. It takes ages.
Carol Taylor (4/4/25, 9:37 PM):
I've been training with Sebastian and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Right from the first session, he took the time to understand my goals and crafted a workout plan specifically for me. He is extremely knowledgeable, motivating, and supportive, pushing me just enough to help me improve without feeling overwhelmed.
What makes Sebastian stand out is his focus on proper form and technique, ensuring that I get the most out of every workout while avoiding injuries. He's also really encouraging and makes each session both challenging and enjoyable. I have seen a significant improvement in my strength and endurance, and I'm looking forward to continuing to progress!
If you're in search of a skilled and personable trainer who genuinely cares about your success, I wholeheartedly recommend Sebastian!

This here's a review for the Cafe, which I was mighty excited to try 'cause it looked like a wholesome spot to grab a meal.
First and foremost, they ain't got no vegan dishes on offer. Everythin' comes with cheese or meat.
So I ends up gettin' me an acai bowl. And let me tell ya, it's the tiniest bowl I ever laid eyes on, and they're chargin' a whopping $17 for it.
And the final blow was when I asks the lady where the restroom is, and she tells me to go past the front desk. When I does that, the front desk stops me and inquires if I'm a member. I says no, so they tells me to use the restroom across the street. What's the sense in havin' a public cafe if there ain't no public restrooms?

Judy Kim (3/31/25, 5:43 AM):
I am penning down this review to express me deep concern about the safety at Life Time. Me husband recently had his wallet pinched from a locker, and one of his cards was swiftly used to charge over $13,000 in bogus charges at Costco in Concord! We were informed by the bobbies that this ain't an isolated occurrence!! The officer let us know that this particular mischief is being reported repeatedly multiple times a month from members at this Life Time! Absolutely dreadful.
Upon returning to his locker, me husband found it completely unlocked, raising serious questions about the security measures in place. This situation is not only incredibly distressing for us but has also led to our bank accounts being locked and our trust being completely shattered in Life Time.
I implore the management to tackle this alarming issue straight away. It is unacceptable for members to feel unsafe or be targeted while using your facilities. This has been a ghastly experience and even more concerning with the bobbies suggesting this might be an inside job.
John James (3/30/25, 6:58 PM):
As a longtime member of the Lifetime franchise (over 15 years), I must say I am thoroughly impressed with this boutique gym. The fact that such a high-quality health club is conveniently located amidst a bustling shopping and family-oriented hub is just one of the many perks this club brings to the table.
I've been a member of Equinox, Bay Club, Fitness SF, YMCA, City Sports, 24 Hour Fitness, and Alameda Fitness and Spa during my time in the Bay Area, and Lifetime stands head and shoulders above the rest. Equinox, at least here in the Bay Area, doesn't quite live up to what you pay for.
1) They have a strategic and top-notch weightlifting area. I'm honestly amazed at the complaints about the equipment and machines here. These are some of the newest and highest quality machines I've ever come across.
2) Amenities: They offer towel service, sauna, steam room, rooftop pool, rooftop hot tub (small but cozy), rooftop bar, fitness classes, a cafe downstairs, workstations, private work pods, kids daycare, and more.
3) Hours: They open early and close late.
For those considering joining: While Lifetime should definitely uphold a high standard, bear in mind that this is a brand-new club. There will naturally be an adjustment period as the club learns, adapts, and grows alongside its members.

Fantastic haircut down at the spa, absolutely splendid!
Daniel Myers (3/29/25, 3:31 AM):
In just 2 weeks of signing up, I've encountered numerous problems at this fitness center:
- The sauna is out of order.
- The steam room has broken down twice.
- The cold plunge has malfunctioned three times.
- The rooftop jacuzzi is not working.
- The basketball hoop is broken.
- There are issues with outlets and lights in the coworking area.
- The espresso machine in the cafe is not functioning.
Additionally:
- The yoga instructor once forgot about a class and arrived late.
- The locker rooms and spa are quite dirty.
- The yoga mats provided for classes are of very low quality.
- There are no showers in the spa area, making the jacuzzi and plunge always dirty.
Despite all these problems, the gym is still decent. However, at $300 per month, I expected a lot more. I rarely experienced such issues during my multiple years at Equinox.
Wayne Harris (3/28/25, 10:51 PM):
Completely unacceptable, my dear wife sent me this picture from the women's changing room. This is the second week in a row she has reported that something is consistently not right. Unacceptable considering the hefty sum I'm shelling out. Hard to believe the manager is fine with this.
Julia Long (3/27/25, 5:32 AM):
This gym is absolutely top-notch, mate! I've been to gyms all over the world, and this one takes the cake.
