Let me tell you, mate, these yoga classes at Life Time Fitness are hands down the best I've ever been to. And believe me, I've hit up studios all over LA and Dallas for years now. I don't know what magic potion they're giving the instructors here, but they are truly top-notch in both skill and knowledge.
I've always dabbled in yoga, but ever since I started coming here, my practice and spiritual connection have skyrocketed. The teachers focus on going deep within, shedding the ego, and honing in on your breath. It never feels fake or superficial like some other places I've been to, where instructors just spout off spiritual jargon without really getting to the core of the practice. Plus, these teachers really know their stuff when it comes to anatomy and how the body moves, which enhances the postures and helps you connect on a whole other level.
With yoga becoming so mainstream these days, finding a quality studio can be a challenge. Who would've thought that a gym could offer such a transformative yoga experience! Oh, and let's not forget about the gym itself and other fitness classes – everything is spotless, the staff is super attentive and friendly, and I leave feeling all kinds of good vibes. I plan on squeezing in as many sessions as I can before I bid adieu to DFW. If you're after a positive gym experience sans the snooty vibes (no offense to Equinox), give Life Time Fitness a go. I'd never been to a Lifetime Fitness before, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. This particular facility is a Bronze location, and although I've researched higher-tiered locations and noticed different amenities, my suggestion for previous reviewers and any potential future members of this gym would be to conduct thorough research before signing up for a membership. This way, you'll know what to expect and won't end up complaining afterwards. They offer a complimentary tour and a free pass, for heaven's sake! As for the complaints about them pushing assessments and training for additional fees, you can simply decline. I've declined multiple times and haven't been bothered about it since joining two weeks ago.
Joellen, Tara C., and Corey do an excellent job of making people feel welcome. My wife and I are signing up for Team Fitness with Tara, and I'll also be taking personal training sessions with her as I aim to shed another 30 pounds and participate in the Reebok Spartan Race later this year. We've been working hard this year to lose weight, and I appreciate having friendly individuals at the gym to discuss my goals and provide the assistance I need.
Lifetime may be a bit pricey, but it's never overcrowded, the space is clean, and the other gym members are pleasant. You won't encounter the same type of crowd you might find at a $10 membership gym like Fitness Connection, YouFit, or Planet Fitness – trust me, I've been a member at those gyms before and was never fully satisfied with my membership.
This gym has everything I require, and the staff have been more than accommodating to deal with.

I quite fancy this spot, it's a tad tinier than the rest but it's quite the gem. The chaps and lasses here are awfully friendly, the gear is top-notch, and the joint is spick and span. Can't quite give it a full five stars until they revert back to being open 24 hours, though. I understand it's a corporate call, but right now it seems like they're just after the dosh, with members still shelling out full whack even though they close up shop early. It's no longer about Covid-19 (to be honest, it never really was), so fling those doors wide open or lower the fees, I say.

I am utterly gobsmacked at the audacity of having to fork out an additional $10 per month for membership, only to witness management turning a blind eye to guests sauntering about the establishment with their trousers hanging below their waist, and undergarments shamelessly on display. It is beyond belief and completely unsatisfactory. One would assume that a respectable fitness club would cater to a clientele who comport themselves in a more dignified manner, especially considering the presence of children and families seeking a pleasant gym experience.

Yet, now and then, the gents' shower and changing rooms could do with a bit more attention...used towels strewn about everywhere. ** The pool is fantastic, no doubt, but lately, there have been a couple of used plasters bobbing around in it. I've been a member here for what seems like forever! I don't mind shelling out a bit extra for this gym because I simply can't stand waiting around for machines, dealing with missing towels, the constant clang of weights, or having to trek a mile just to find parking. But the main reason I'm willing to pay more is because the quality of clientele here is top-notch. Sure, I know there are Lifetimes with fancier amenities, but I picked this one because it's conveniently close to home. If someone is after an outdoor pool or tennis courts, they would have known that before signing up, so no need to knock this gym - just hop in the car and head over to Plano! : )

A fancy Planet Fitness, with multiple music sources blaring simultaneously throughout the gym. It's irritating enough when someone is inconsiderate and plays their music out loud on speakerphone, but this place takes it to the next level. I politely asked them to close the door during a class, but they leave it wide open, saturating the gym with a cacophony of noise.
On February 22, 2025, the fire alarm went off, and amidst the chaos, with three or four conflicting music sources playing, understanding the instructions was impossible. I can only hope that they won't have to deal with an actual fire emergency under these circumstances.

I must say, I quite fancy this gym. However, the opening hours leave much to be desired. Many other facilities shut at 12am, yet this one closes at 10pm on weekends; that really is quite early, especially for a Saturday or Sunday.
I'm not alone in thinking the gym's hours are rather poor. We're shelling out around $100 a month for membership, so one would expect better accessibility. The standard closing time of 12am at many other gyms from the same chain sets the bar, and I believe it should be no different here. While a 24-hour gym would be ideal, I understand that the demand for late-night workouts might be limited.
I do appreciate that part of the fee goes towards amenities and other offerings, but these become less relevant if you can't even hit the gym when it suits you best.
The only other gripes I have about this establishment:
- The showers emit a rather foul odor. Perhaps a thorough cleaning of the plumbing is in order. (Resolved)
- The basketball court could use some sprucing up. The floors are slippery, balls are deflated, and the nets get scuffed now and then.

I have been a member of Lifetime since 2013. Occasionally, my girlfriend and I will visit other gyms to change before events if we don't have time to go home. We have always appreciated the convenience and never had any issues with Lifetime overall. However, recently my girlfriend informed me that there were two men in the women's locker rooms working on something. They didn't inform her at the front desk, and when she confronted them, they simply said there were signs indicating the showers were closed. Kayla or McKayla didn't offer an apology and matter-of-factly mentioned that there were men in the women's locker rooms. This incident occurred at 4:30 pm on a Friday. Regardless of the showers being closed, shouldn't they have informed women checking in? This is completely unacceptable and far from the "upscale" experience we expect from Lifetime. The leadership and check-in staff have failed us, and I would anticipate better from a company like Lifetime.

The gym used to be fine, with most things in working order and relatively clean. However, after the recent price hike, I can no longer recommend it. Here are some of my main concerns:
- The hours were better before, but due to Covid, they were reduced and never returned to normal.
- There are too many events for kids/daycare, which disrupts the gym experience. They set up activities in the basketball court and it feels like I have to schedule my visits around these events. There is a designated kids' room; they should use that instead of encroaching on other areas.
- Maintenance and quality of the basketball court are lacking. The equipment provided is subpar, the floor is dirty and slippery, and there is damage from the constant presence of children. Paint and glitter from arts and crafts make it even messier.
- Recently, a homeless individual has taken up residence in the basketball court during open hours. He exhibits strange behavior, emits a strong odor, and stares at guests, yet the staff seems indifferent.
Update: The homeless man is still living in the gym two weeks later, and today I found a towel stained with blood.
Update #2: More than two months since my initial review, the homeless man is still occupying the basketball court, leaving behind trash and creating disturbances. Despite his disruptive behavior, the staff remains inactive.
Update #3: It has been approximately six months since my initial assessment. The homeless man continues to inhabit the gym. Management dismisses concerns by stating he is "harmless" and pays his dues, ignoring calls to address the issue. Giving your money to Life Time may result in a workout accompanied by the sounds of a homeless individual disrupting the environment.

Great gym with a wide variety of equipment and class offerings, excellent service! However, the spa can be inconsistent at times with water levels and temperature. I would suggest expanding the options for children's swim hours for those who are already competent swimmers, outside of family swim hours where a lifeguard may not be necessary.

In 2019, the membership cost was $75 monthly, but now it stands at $140. There haven't been any improvements, if anything, it has deteriorated. I mainly held onto this membership because it's the sole spot in the proximity with a steam room, yet it's closed for half the month too. Next month, I'll be terminating my membership. Charging $140 for such a dismal service is truly laughable.

This gym is absolutely brilliant for families! The kids care service is top-notch and offers a wide range of activities for the little ones. From yoga classes to swimming sessions, the trainers are fantastic, and they even have kids' classes available. Not to mention the steam room for the adults. It's truly a dream gym for families!

I've visited other Life Time locations that resemble luxurious spa resorts - several floors, abundant space, numerous basketball courts, additional pools, outdoor amenities, and the like. However, at this particular site, it seemed more akin to a marginally upgraded LA Fitness but with a significantly higher price tag.

I have been a member of this gym for nearly ten years now. While I have always been satisfied with the facilities and services they offer, I must say that the customer service has significantly declined in recent years. The front desk staff often have a negative attitude, the showers are frequently closed early, and the saunas are constantly out of order. It seems like the management is not interested in addressing these issues or taking customer feedback seriously.
Despite the high cost of membership, there are many more affordable gyms in the area that offer better customer service. It is disappointing to see that Lifetime Fitness does not seem to value its customers and is comfortable losing them. It feels like they believe they are doing us a favor by allowing us to be members. It's a shame, but I will be canceling my membership soon.

Yesterday, my partner and I had a fantastic tour with Erwin at the gym. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, and we were impressed by how clean and organized everything was. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, especially since it has a beach entry that allows our 9-month-old baby to play safely. I was also thrilled to discover the yoga room and was pleased to learn that I could use it when there were no classes scheduled.
However, our positive experience took a turn this morning when I entered the yoga room. A yoga instructor named Cat Breyfogle was inside, and her demeanor immediately put me on edge. She curtly instructed me to remove my shoes, and when I complied, she rudely informed me that I was not allowed to use the yoga room. Feeling confused and disrespected, I left and sought clarification from other staff members, who confirmed that I was indeed allowed to use the room. It was clear that Cat had lied about its availability and had treated me poorly.
I later learned from staff members that I was not the only person to have experienced such behavior from Cat. It's a shame because we otherwise love this gym and appreciate the friendliness of the other employees and members. While I am considering canceling my membership due to this incident, I hope that Cat's manager will address her behavior and provide her with the necessary training to treat people with respect, as it seems she lacks this essential skill.

I popped in for a day pass to give Lifetime a go. The facilities were top-notch and in impeccable condition; truly a stunning gym. They have both wet and dry saunas, lockers with locks, showers, towels, a basketball court, an abundance of cardio equipment, and ample weights. I doubt you'll ever have to wait for a cardio machine, although there might be a bit of a wait for weights during peak times.
Considering the price, I believe you get what you pay for... There are many other gyms in the vicinity that are a third of the cost, so I intend to explore a few more before making my decision.
I have a two-year-old, and if he were a bit older, say 3 or above, I would certainly sign up here due to the children's center, weekly parents' night out, swim lessons, and so on. If I do end up joining another gym, you may well see me back here in around a year!
P.S. Amber at the front desk was delightful, professional, knowledgeable, and just fantastic.

Blimey, this company is an absolute shambles! I didn't even make it past the reviews and online pricing before deciding it was a firm no. It appears this place is rife with issues, and the pricing is simply outrageous. And what's with the blatant age discrimination? Offering lower rates for those under 26 is just plain unethical. Whoever came up with that policy must have been off their rocker. As someone well-versed in the ways of the business world, mark my words - this establishment is headed for a swift closure. Thank goodness for my due diligence and research. I refuse to align myself with a business that engages in such discriminatory practices. The pricing disparity, especially for younger individuals, reeks of desperation to attract a certain demographic.
Even if I were eligible for the lower rate, the pricing structure, along with the litany of other issues highlighted in the reviews, would be enough to deter me from signing up. And let me tell you, I don't mince my words or coddle delicate sensibilities. If the reports of unprofessionalism among the staff are true, and given the consistent negative feedback, I have every reason to believe they are, then this place is on a collision course with either a lawsuit or a confrontation. People are tired of the nonsense in this world and won't stand for laziness, rudeness, or sloppiness.

I've been a member of this gym for 7 years. Initially, my membership cost $69 for myself and $89 when including my daughter, taxes included. When my daughter turned 12, it went back to $69 for both of us. A few months back, I requested to pause my membership due to personal reasons and mentioned I would come back. However, upon returning to reactivate my membership, I was informed that my account had been terminated, and I would have to pay the new rates - $99 for me and a whopping $200 once my daughter hit 12. It seems like a deliberate move to make me lose my $69 fixed rate. Dealing with the corporate office was unpleasant, as they were unhelpful and impolite. The manager at Addison Concierge didn't offer much assistance either.
