I do find it splendid that there be a designated area for ladies with more petite exercise contraptions! Being a wee 5'1 meself, some machines on their smallest settings still be too grand, but not in the women's section. There be also two shared areas, as well as a whole room dedicated to cardio. The array of classes has allowed me to unearth what I fancy and what I do not. I quite delight in bodypump, a new discovery for me. A cycling class was something I had never ventured afore, and though it be not my preferred form of cardio, the instructor Stacy St. Cyr was remarkably attentive. She introduced herself during my maiden class and we discussed my ankle injury and how to navigate the class safely. It felt akin to receiving a smidgen of personal training in a group setting! The hot tub and cold plunge were also most beneficial in my mending from a ghastly torn ligament. I reckon it hastened the healing process and unquestionably eased the immediate discomfort. I suppose that be why 'tis dubbed a health club rather than just a gym.

Top-tier gym in any state! Red Gym is constantly evolving, staying ahead of the curve with the latest trends. Featuring amenities such as whirlpool, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools, an indoor walking track, a wide array of weight machines and treadmills, a high-intensity exercise area, and snack bars.
Nicholas Ortiz (4/11/25, 7:19 AM):
There ain't no spot in Lafayette quite like Red’s. If you're keen on getting fit, or you're aiming to take your current fitness routine up a notch, Red’s is without a doubt the place to be. It's a top-notch facility with a stellar team. It may be a tad pricey, but once you step inside, you'll understand how much of that cash is pumped back into the club. You truly get what you shell out for.
Dennis Morris (4/11/25, 1:20 AM):
I absolutely adore this place. It's the absolute best gym in the whole wide world. And trust me, I've been to gyms all around the globe. It's the only gym I've been to that has a fantastic plunge pool. Whenever I return home, this is always my go-to spot. The owner, Red, is incredibly lovely and welcoming.
Angela Ortiz (4/10/25, 9:32 PM):
When 'urricane Ida hit Houma, I escaped to Lafayette with my wife. I was feeling restless at the hotel, so I decided to hit the gym. I ended up at Reds and let me tell ya, the folks there were just lovely. I turned to my wife and said, "If we ever relocate to Lafayette, I'm signing up at Reds," and that's exactly what we did. I'll tell ya one thing, I've been to other gyms and none compare to Reds. The staff is so welcoming and the facility is spick and span. Trust me, go with Reds!
Peter Wilson (4/10/25, 3:38 PM):
Top-notch, fully-equipped gym in the world, right here in my hometown!
Amanda Turner (4/10/25, 4:14 AM):
A top-notch fitness center catering to the whole family. With an array of free weights and various weight machines, this facility offers a comprehensive workout experience. The cardio section is equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, stair & step climbers, and elliptical machines. Additionally, there are four pools: one designated for adults, another for children and a wet area, an Olympic-size pool, a training pool, an ice-cold dip pool, and a hot pool.
Judy Long (4/10/25, 3:17 AM):
I absolutely adore Red's so much, I began my fitness journey at Planet Fitness where it's a "judgement-free zone" and I feel much less judged at Red's! It's such a welcoming environment with amiable staff members.
Lisa Wilson (4/10/25, 12:01 AM):
Do not visit this place if you have children - especially young girls. You will pay the full price for a membership, but there are many facilities you won't be able to use with kids under 14 (such as indoor pools, locker rooms, lap pools, etc.). I completely understand the rules, but you'll still be paying the full membership fees for your family even though you can't fully enjoy the amenities 🤷‍♀️.

If you have girls, especially those who may seem small for their age, they won't be permitted to use the waterslide. The lifeguards will explain that it's a safety concern, but even if you can prove they meet the height requirements (which are only specified for girls and not displayed) and they pass the swimming test (swimming to the side without a parent in the water), they still won't be allowed to go on the slide. Boys, on the other hand, seem to have no issues. If you have a boy, they will be allowed to ride the slide and a parent can even catch them at the end.

They promote themselves as family-friendly, but their policies appear to be quite discriminatory.
Daisy Taylor (4/9/25, 1:47 PM):
Always squeaky clean, top-notch amenities. A few machines may need an upgrade due to their age or being a bit wonky. During the summer, you might spot some youngsters dashing about, but in general, it's the most bang for your buck in Acadiana.
Douglas Jenkins (4/9/25, 12:31 PM):
Just arrived in town and swiftly discovered my go-to fitness center right here - absolutely love it! The group workout sessions are top-notch, the cold immersion is superb, it's spotless, offers towel amenities, and don't get me started on those fantastic smoothies.
Sarah Graham (4/8/25, 11:49 PM):
Decent gym with good facilities. The cleanliness leaves something to be desired, but that's par for the course with most large gyms. I had a breakout for weeks after using one of their towels post-workout. Overall, it's an okay gym, but I'd steer clear of their towels and food offerings in the future.
Charles Morgan (4/8/25, 8:19 AM):
Eugene Kwarteng is the finest fitness coach. The gym is fully equipped and has ample space for workouts.
Arthur Hamilton (4/7/25, 5:31 PM):
A first-class fitness center with a wide range of activities to suit all tastes. Mr. Red and his team are not only friendly but also very knowledgeable. One aspect worth mentioning is the generous parking facilities, complete with oversized spaces to ensure your vehicle remains unscathed by other cars.
Jean Gonzalez (4/7/25, 5:21 PM):
I 'ave been a member at reds for years and 'ave 'ad COUNTLESS problems. They don’t want you to use or access your phone (which is insane), they allow members to confront you if they think you are “talking to loud,” they don’t stay open late, their policies are 'orrible. My most recent issue is that I 'ave asked countless times to watch something other than Fox News when doing a workout to which they say that every other TV 'AS TO BE ON FOX NEWS! This place spreads 'atred, it is inexperienced from the employees, “trainers” to the social awareness that Fox News is offensive to more than 'alf of the members here. Overpriced and all they do is shove propaganda down your throat. I would NEVER recommend this gym. Outdated and overpriced. Run far away from This place.
Timothy Jones (4/7/25, 3:56 PM):
I trek 72 miles each way just to revel in all the perks this fitness center has to provide. Adore all the strength training gear and unwinding afterward in the sauna section. Truly wish my nearby gym had this level of excellence.
Austin Baker (4/6/25, 6:52 PM):
A full-service fitness center for the whole family. We offer a wide variety of free weights and weight machines. Our cardio section features treadmills, stationary bikes, stair climbers, step climbers, and elliptical machines. We also have four pools: one for adults, one for children and a wet area, an Olympic-sized pool, a training pool, as well as ice cold and hot pools for relaxation.
Margaret Myers (4/6/25, 3:54 PM):
This is the best spot for your buck. If you fancy looking after your body, then Reds is the place to be. Hot/cold tub, steam room/sauna, and more await you here.
Helen Coleman (4/6/25, 1:29 AM):
After a thorough review of the website, I am inclined to bestow upon this fitness center a rating of 4 stars. This establishment appears to be the perfect gym for someone like myself, who is not keen on making excuses. The registration and monthly fees are quite motivating, as they push me to make the most out of my investment and break free from my sedentary habits. Moreover, with amenities such as a steam room, sauna, and boxing classes, it is high time for me to put in the extra effort and bid farewell to excuses in this new year of 2022.
Gabriel Sanchez (4/5/25, 9:18 PM):
Brilliant gym! Can't fault the gym itself, but do be careful as if you experience poor treatment from a staff member, particularly a manager, and you bring it up with Red, he might say "it's difficult to imagine they didn't treat you well" since the manager has been there for quite some time. That was sufficient for me to decide against joining.
