The staff is fantastic. The bathrooms are spotless.
This specific Planet Fitness location is truly abysmal. Of the four Stair Masters they have, three of them have been out of order for months, and even when they do manage to fix them, they seem to break down again almost immediately. The gym is quite small and lacks a sufficient amount of equipment. It is always crowded regardless of the day or time you visit, making it quite frustrating to navigate. Additionally, there is very limited space for floor exercises on the mats. My advice would be to steer clear of this particular gym if possible.
This gym is spot on for me. The size is just right, there's a good selection of equipment, and the folks here are friendly and focused on getting their workout in, not showing off for social media.
THE MUSIC IS SO BLOODY LOUD
The tunes they blast in this joint are so bloody loud, it's messing with the beats I'm trying to groove to through my headphones!
This Planet Fitness is a bit on the smaller and older side. Has its pros and cons, really.
They've got all the basic gym gear covered, so no worries there.
The locker room here actually has proper metal lockers instead of that wood particle board stuff you see in newer spots. Personally, I reckon that's a plus. And I must say, the locker room seems tidier compared to most PF branches.
There ain't no changing rooms though.
The showers are oh-so cramped. The mount for the shower head in the handicap stall is buggered at the moment, mind you. Water pressure and temperature are spot on, though.
Would you believe they've got paper towels in the sink area? I reckon that's a win. Most of the newer PF joints only have those blasted air dryers.
Like most PF places, the blokes and sheilas here don't always stick to the rules, and the staff don't seem too fussed about enforcing them.
The individual responsible for crafting these glowing 5-star reviews likely shares a personal connection with the manager or proprietor of this establishment. This particular Planet Fitness location is noticeably undersized, unable to adequately accommodate the influx of members it receives throughout the course of the day. Despite consulting the crowd meter on both the Planet Fitness app and Google, which consistently indicates a lack of congestion, upon my arrival merely 10 minutes later, I found the gym to be teeming with individuals. The space is inundated with a blend of adolescents and adults, leaving minimal room for exercising or utilizing the equipment. It's akin to being crammed in like sardines. Consequently, I opted to terminate my membership. The disinterest exhibited towards understanding the reasons behind member cancellations is evident, as profit appears to be prioritized over enhancing the overall experience. This gym is unequivocally overrun with patrons!
The first time I came to this gym, it was quite pleasant. The facilities were clean, and the staff members were very polite. I definitely plan on returning for another workout session.
It would've been alright if I hadn't been informed repeatedly that I could "cancel anytime" when signing up. Upon joining, the receptionist failed to make it clear to me that I needed to cancel by the 25th to avoid being charged the annual fee. I wasn't presented with any written information apart from the terms and agreements on the pin pad. Yes, the minuscule fine print is there, but for better reviews, your front desk staff should actually clarify that "canceling anytime" involves fees and conditions.
Do not bother visiting this gym. It is filthy, tiny, and all the equipment is broken. The manager in Farmers Branch should oversee this location as well, as I choose to drive to that spot instead of staying in Addison. This poorly managed location reflects badly on the brand.
The staff is quite friendly, but the space is rather small and there aren't many equipment choices available. A good amount of the cardio machines are often out of order, and unless you visit during off-peak hours, be prepared to wait around 20+ minutes for a machine. There's not much room for floor exercises or using free weights - you'll end up working out right next to someone else. However, for just $10 a month, you can't really complain too much.
These people don't give a damn about you. The blokes in charge and the owners, they're just plain rude. They don't give you any respect. They went ahead and took my dosh multiple times during my membership without even asking for my say-so. And when I brought it up, they always had some lame excuse ready like "I'm not sure what happened" or "that shouldn't have occurred." The real nightmare begins when you try to sort things out and need to have a word with someone. Then it's a whole new level of disrespect you have to put up with. That seems to be their standard way of running things, just have a gander at the reviews on Google and see why they've been dragged to court before. The management at this joint is dodgy, hiring inexperienced managers with zero customer service skills and zero respect for their punters. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Don't fall for their fake response at the bottom of this.
Absolutely splendid workout establishment, top-notch amenities, outstanding staff, and the showers were particularly invigorating, simply loved it. I must mention the therapeutic hydromassage chair – precisely what my body craved post my rigorous workout session. Kudos to you all, five stars for this fine establishment.
